Kipok Africa 

In July 2024, I received a quote from Kipok Africa Adventures and paid a USD 2,000 deposit. Amani Laizer, the owner, assured me that all lodges for our July 2025 safari would be booked.

However, in December 2024, after seeing several negative reviews appear for the company, I contacted the lodges directly. Every single one confirmed there was no booking under my name or the company’s name. When I questioned Amani, he gave multiple excuses and then started requesting additional “government” payments in advance — despite our written agreement that the balance would be paid closer to the trip. I researched the “government” reason he gave and found it was completely false.

As we were travelling during peak season, I told him we had lost trust in the company and requested a refund on December 19, 2024. He asked for 90 days. The 90 days passed with no refund. After more than 40 follow-up messages, he eventually refunded USD 1,100 — but USD 900 is still outstanding, and he has now stopped communicating entirely.

From what I have learned, Amani is essentially a freelance jeep driver who has set up his own company and is scamming unsuspecting travellers. While on safari with a different company, I spoke to several other drivers who confirmed they had heard similar stories and warned me about his scams.

Do not book with Kipok Africa Adventures. You risk losing your money and having your holiday ruined. If you are ever on safari with another company and he arrives to pick you up, call your tour operator immediately and refuse to travel with him. He will find every possible way to get to your wallet.

I had an amazing 3 days trip to Serengeti national park and Ngorongoro conservation area. I stayed in Arusha as a volunteer for five weeks, but this safari trip is one of my best memory. This was my first time to go to safari and I’ve never seen animals like giraffes or lions except for zoo, so I was so excited. I did camping two nights, but the stars were incredible at night and it was so quiet, so I was able to sleep well. Thank you so much for giving me the chance to get unforgettable memory. I appreciate it.

I volunteered with Kipok Africa for 2months and I must say the experience was incredible. I gained a lot of experience and i got to meet a lot of people within the legal sector.The owner of the organization Amani made sure that my stay in Arusha was sublime. Amani and his team were amazing on the lead up to our climb of Kilimanjaro. We spoke in length about the trip what we needed and also he offered us several options for guides to take us on this adventure of a lifetime. The team we excellent, uplifting always smiling and on hand to help with anything we needed. This is definitely an adventure I will speak of many times over and over.

I stayed in the Hostel for three days. Perfekt Service and everything was organized. Good Food.

I had a wonderful 4 day safari trip in my last visit to Tanzania last November. The game watch of wild animals and watching the great migration was the best experience of my life! Thank you so much!

The Safari Company is just amazing. The owner Amani tries to make your experience the best one. He wants that all of your wishes come true and organizes the Safari and other trips to for example the waterfalls or the hot springs as you want them. Everything is very cheap and there is nothing to complain about. The staff speaks English very well and helps you also. The guides for example Jordan on the Safaris have a great eye and can see lots of animals as well as they can explain a lot of things to you. You can do plenty of trips, because they offer a lot for you. The lunch boxes provided are good as well. The places in which you stay as well as the cars are amazing. I did the Day Trips as well as the Safari with this Company and I loved all of them.Why should you pay extra when you can have the best experience for less money? - Simon, Germany

Amani, Jordan and the team were amazing! This experience was one of the best times of my life, a 4 day tour through the Tarangire NP, Serengeti NP and Ngorongoro Crater. We were lucky enough to successfully tick off seeing the ‘Big 5’ (Rhinoceros 🦏, Lion 🦁, Leopard 🐆, Elephant 🐘 & Buffalo 🐃) as well as the ‘Ugly 5’ (Warthog 🐗, Vulture 🦅, Wildebeest, Stork 🕊& Hyena 🐺).

We had a fantastic time on all the tours we did with Kipok Africa! We did both day trips - Hot Springs and Materuni Waterfall, and longer trips - Safari and Climbing Kilimanjaro. All were fantastic, incredible experiences and brilliantly organised. It was also a pleasure dealing with Amani to book them all! Thanks for making my experiences in Tanzania so wonderful!
