We have used Julian and Sue twice now to take family photos outside and have been delighted with the photos both times. They are very friendly and immediately put us all at ease so the children were relaxed and happy. They know the perfect spots for photos in the woodland so we got a range of lovely backgrounds. They provided us with access to the full set of photos very quickly. We love the fact that the price is all inclusive so we have access to all of the digital photos. Highly recommend!

As a family we have been going to Julian and Sue for years. Always beautiful pictures and such a lovely experience. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a photographer especially those special newborn shoots

Julian and his wife sue are absolutely amazing at what they do! I was so lucky to find him years ago to be able to go back every year and document my kids growing up. His photos speak for themselfs they are beyond beautiful he always manages to capture the best moments. They really make you feel welcomed and now after a few years it just feels like we're going to our friends for a little while and coming away with beautiful family photos to cherish forever. I even turnt up with a grumpy child once but this didn't stop Julian getting me some gorgeous photos he had to work for them bless him but he did it and was so good at trying to make her smile and time was no issue he wasn't in a rush or said it is what it is he powered through and started to win her over and I was so greatful. If your thinking about wanting photos done look no further this is one decision you will not regret making. They both really are lovely people and Julians photography is brilliant I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I highly recommend Julian and Sue when looking for a photoshoot. I have had a newborn shoot, some family shoots and my partner did a day getting to know his camera. They always make you feel so welcome and relaxed. My daughter has complex needs and it’s not easy to get photos of her smiling however they are so patient and have managed to get some great photos of her smiling. I would never go anywhere else for a photoshoot as they are the best.

We first used Julian and Sue for our wedding in 2008 and have been using them ever since for family and baby shoots, christenings and other family events. We would never use anyone else now and cannot recommend them highly enough. Their photography is second to none and they are the loveliest people that make you feel so relaxed.

Julian has done some lovely photos for me and my family. He done some photos of my 3 children as a surprise for me. He also took some lovely photos of my daughter in her prom dress as she never got to go to prom due to covid and lastly he done some photos of my two dogs. He has a lovely studio and makes you feel very comfortable he is great with both people and animals and I have some lovely photos that I will treasure forever.

We had a prom photo shoot for my daughter and nephew who didn't go to prom. The experience was made special by both Julian and sue who were friendly professional and made them feel special they had a great time made it a great shoot for them both. Would recommend them so very much.

We have just had another amazing photo shoot with Julian and Sue, with family and cousins. We are so pleased with the photos, Julian sent us the photos so quickly after the shoot and we literally love them all. Our first photo shoot was over 14 years ago for our engagement and wedding photos which we love. Since then we have had photo shoots many times with the kids now too. We asked Jules and Sue to be our wedding photographers after much research. We loved their style and after speaking with Julian, our minds were made up. He was professional but relaxed and funny, so fit our vibe perfectly!
We discussed durations, costs and found a package that worked for us, and then on the day, the two of them blended in so well during the ceremony, chatted with the guests, and felt part of our day. Sue took excellent, natural shots of people chatting during the drinks reception. The group photos were well organised and fun to do. I couldn't recommend them highly enough!

In fact, we have stayed in touch with Jules ever since our wedding and have used them for family photo shoots too. Such a friendly pair, with excellent photography skills, and who make you feel at ease so quickly. Highly recommend.

We have used Julian on a number of occasions- from our wedding to new born shoot and 1st birthday shoot for both our children. Julian and Sue make you feel part of the family making you feel at ease before you even start having photos taken.

Then when you see thier work - WOW it's exactly what you want and more. I couldn't recommend them enough.

We’ve had a few shoots over the last 4 years with JulianPorter photography.
Our first one was a newborn shoot with our daughter. When we arrived we were greeted by Julian into their wonderful, warm, calming studio, Sue was upstairs waiting for us and they both made us feel very relaxed. We spoke about what photos we would like and they managed to capture loads of beautiful photos for us. We still love looking at them now.
The year after we went back for Christmas photos and again despite it being a very busy time of year, we felt we were given plenty of time and never felt rushed. Another set of fabulous photos achieved!
The year after is where our problems started, our daughter decided when we arrived that she was petrified of cameras! Both Julian and Sue were amazing, they tried so hard to make her feel at ease and they did manage to get a few lovely shots. I was so grateful!

Our most recent experience was 3 weeks ago for a newborn shoot with our son, we took our daughter along too as we really hoped we would be able to get some photos with her too, although on the way there she told me ‘mummy I don’t like the camera or the flash’ I felt so nervous about how she would be but ultimately knew we would still get some amazing photos of our son. Well I shouldn’t have worried!
We were greeted at the car by Julian and up we went, it was like catching up with old friends. We started with photos of our daughter and son together. The interaction they gave to our daughter knowing her fears was so good, they showed her how the camera worked and just chatted to her about big sister life and anything else that would interest her. She felt so relaxed and came out her shell, she absolutely LOVED it. Again we got outstanding photos and so many to choose from! Every time I look at the photos my heart bursts.
I am so grateful that Julian and Sue have captured these photos.
The editing time is short, you do not have to wait weeks and weeks to get your photos back, days if that!

We will 100% use them again and we really do recommend them!

We first met with Julian and Sue over 17 years ago for our engagement and wedding photos, and we've returned to them numerous times for family and children photos over the years. The quality of their work and the genuine care they show has always impressed us. Their photos are amazing, and they even managed to capture a few smiles of our then, very tricky 2-year-old! We had the bump to baby shoot with julian and sue. Both the shoots were brilliant. They were amazing with my 4 year old during the mat shoot and made him really comfortable which resulted in great photos. He was so excited to go back for the newborn shoot. For the newborn shoot, jules and sue were so patient with my little one and we got some amazing photos.
The best part is that we got all the digital photos which saved us the pressure of choosing a few for prints unlike other studios. Will definitely recommend Julian and Sue!!!

We have had 2 photoshoots with Julian now in less than a year. One newborn and one bluebell shoot and hoping to have a cake smash and splash too. Julian and sue were both incredibly patient with me, my baby, mum (who has mobility issues) and my dog. The photos were absolutely incredible and the wait time was minimal unlike other photographers we have been with. We received all photos taken instead of just selecting a few without being pushed into buying any extras (again, like other photographers).
When having the newborn shoot, Julian and sue were both absolutely amazing and they had no issues with me breastfeeding my daughter in the studio.
The bluebell shoot, they were patient with my mum and they were great with our dog too!
Cannot recommend them enough! Such lovely people and I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my shoots anymore.

We have been coming to Julian and Sue for about 18 years. Started with our engagement photos, then wedding, then babies and now we try and see them every couple of years for updated family pics. Two of the nicest people I know and their photos are just fabulous! We hope to see you again very soon!
