Thanks to Miguel & Con at Mahon Point for making our new car purchase a seamless experience. When a fault was found after we took the car home they guys did everything possible to ensure my elderly parents were accommodated, organising a replacement, finding another suitable car and ensuring everything was satisfactory for them. We mostly dealt with Miguel who is an absolute gent and wouldn't rest until the issues were resolved. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

I always feel comfortable and confident dealing with the Service Personnel in the Johnson & Perrott Dealership. The staff have always been friendly, courteous and very helpful. I have been a customer with J&P, both in Mahon and in Douglas, for about fifteen years now and am obviously very happy with the service.

The reversing camera has moisture in it, when the car was returned to me the SOS warning light was on, and the SOS warning light has come on again, I have had no feed back from Kia explaining the cause of the problem even though I spoke to the service team about it, and they said they would get clarification from KIA Ireland. Frightened driving the car now with SOS light on.

KIA garage have not been able to fix the issue with the SOS warning light coming on even though the garage has had the car for 4 weeks.
Regretting purchasing the EV3 now due to poor customer service .

Serious Concerns Regarding Safety, Professionalism and Trust

A few months after purchase, a serious coolant loss issue was identified. Despite the vehicle spending several months in the dealership’s workshop and undergoing major repairs, including a head gasket replacement, the problem was never properly resolved.

While the vehicle was in the dealership’s in January 2026, it was also involved in an incident caused by one of their mechanics. I was assured I would be able to inspect the vehicle before any repairs were carried out; however, this agreement was not honoured, and repairs were completed without my knowledge or consent.

Most concerning, after being informed the vehicle was “fixed” in March 2026, the coolant tank was empty within 24 hours of collection, raising serious concerns about the quality of repairs and basic safety checks.

This entire situation lasted approximately 10 months and was extremely stressful for us, involving significant inconvenience throughout.

To be fair, during this time the dealership did provide replacement vehicles. While some were better than others.

Throughout the process, communication was inconsistent and at times misleading, which significantly undermined our trust and left us with no confidence in either the vehicle or the service provided.

We initially requested either a refund or a suitable replacement vehicle. After several unsuitable offers and prolonged delays, we were forced to escalate the matter and were prepared to involve a solicitor. In the end, we received a partial refund.

If you value transparency, mechanical safety, and professional service, I would strongly advise you to carefully consider your options before purchasing from this dealership.

This is a disappointing standard for a business representing well-known car brands.

Recently bought my new EV from Sean in Johnson & Perrott Mahon Point and had a great experience from start to finish. I was trading in my old car and Sean was really helpful throughout the whole process, easy to deal with and answered any questions I had. Delighted with the new car and would definitely recommend asking for Sean if you’re thinking of changing cars.

I'm on my second EV from Sean, great to deal with, knows the vehicle inside out, great finance deal, thanks to Pat, would highly recommend if you are looking for a reliable new EV with 7 year warranty, can't speak for hybrids as I took a leap from diesel to full EV and will not ever go back, low running costs, comfort, technology, low servicing costs and after taking the leap to EV range anxiety has gone as well with 530km 77kw battery. MG have built the MGS6 for comfort and safety.

I recently bought a mgs5 at Johnson and perrot mahon point the person I dealt with was merveil Baki l couldn't be happier with the assistance and time he gave to help me I would highly recommend merveil if anyone is buying a car thank you merveil.

Went into upgrade our car in October. J&P threw on a great Kia Open Day where we found the model of our dreams. Con and Jake made the process easy throughout, making our options clear, and supporting us with finance. The garage is a lovely environment in which to look at and discuss cars, and the Mahers machine was greatly appreciated for the coffees and hot chocolates!

How is this place still in business…

They never answer the phone to start. Sold us a vehicle and didn’t even clean it properly had rubbish from the previous owner. Had us call in for a service and it wasn’t even due. They say they will ring back and just don’t! Ongoing issue with vehicle that they will not take ownership of that keeps breaking and we get told this never happens but it has happened 3 times to our vehicle now. Asked to speak to someone higher up than a service technician and they refused. It’s like they don’t appreciate our custom and just never wanted our repeat business..we will be moving to buy a new vehicle..
This is just a small taste of the number of issues…
Would give 0 stars if possible!!
