The stones were sourced from a long-established supplier who works specifically with uchigumori and related finishing stones. Based on provenance and sourcing, they were represented correctly and in good faith.
Of course, stones from neighboring quarry areas can show very similar visual and working characteristics, which sometimes leads to differing personal interpretations. This does not automatically mean the identification is incorrect.
I respect your opinion and experience, but I stand by the description as provided by the supplier and the origin information available.
Mizukihara Uchigumori whetstones are actually more expensive and considered higher-grade than Ohira stones, so there’s really no reason to see this as a downgrade.

The stone was as described and shipped quickly. The packaging could be improved to prevent damage during transport. My stone had a few chips. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase.
