We renovated our Queenslander house, North Brisbane (raise and build under) last year and this was an excellent experience. We met Josh the boss to discuss our plans and vision. He was clear, transparent, professional, and friendly. He would prompt you further about your aspirations to ensure that he would deliver what you wanted. Especially as a woman who handled the build with JH Homes, they are easy to collaborate with. And that made me choose them.
What set them apart:
- They get the job done and completed the build on time and budget.

- They use a project management software where you can see your bills, the progress of the renos via photos, variations - all in one place for your convenience.
- They are a family business where everyone is involved (several brothers, their wives etc.) - as such, the responsibility to make it a successful long-term business is felt.
- All their staff were friendly and easy to talk to, whilst sharp and efficient.
- They think outside the box, which was a breadth of fresh air, and keen to explore new approaches so long as it lasts.
- They can collaborate with a woman.

During the 9 months, the site was kept clean and tidy. What we wanted to keep was found nicely put away, when we came back. The teams were on-site continuously (dixit all the neighbors) and we even managed to share a few jokes and laughs.

A renovation with no surprises is rare. We had an unfortunate borer living in our brand-new engineered flooring, whilst the house was still under warrantee. After the relevant tests were completed, the conclusion was that the borer came within the board from overseas. The floor was ripped off, changed and minor touch-ups completed by JU Homes in half a day, once due process had been completed. Again, JH Homes wasreliable when everything goes well and less well.

A wonderful company, with honest and qualified workers and clear communication. A work ethic reflected among all their partners and in the end, you get a beautiful home to enjoy.
