I wish I could give 10 stars today I went to the jewelry exchange for the first time for my 50th wedding anniversary. My husband purchased a setting for my original engagement diamond and a 14 karat gold setting in a 14 karat gold chain. I also purchased a ring with lab created diamonds the service was beyond anything I’ve ever experienced in any jewelry store in my 72 years of life don’t go anywhere else but the jewelry exchange extremely high-quality extremely helpful, polite, kind, and helpful service. It’s the only place to shop for jewelry thank you to all the women who helped us today in making decisions for such a precious time in our lives.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with this jewelry store regarding a diamond exchange and pricing transparency. I originally purchased a diamond and later attempted to complete an exchange consistent with the store’s written exchange policy. During this process, I identified another diamond listed on the company’s website for $3,905.24. There was no disclosure anywhere on the product page, in the exchange policy, or during the purchasing process stating that the online price would not apply if the diamond was exchanged in-store or shipped to the store location.
After initiating the transaction and relying on the publicly advertised price, I was later informed that the price would instead be $5,743, which represents an increase of nearly $1,800 over the publicly advertised price. At no point prior to this was I informed that there was a separate “in-store sticker price” that would apply when completing an exchange. In fact, I have written text message documentation from a store associate acknowledging the pricing expectations and confirming the total would not exceed $4,200, as well as confirmation through the company’s online chat that ordering the diamond and shipping it to the store would not result in a different price.
From a consumer protection standpoint, this situation raises serious concerns regarding pricing transparency and advertising practices. Under California Business & Professions Code §17500, businesses are prohibited from disseminating advertising statements that are misleading or likely to deceive consumers regarding the price or terms under which goods are offered. Additionally, California Business & Professions Code §17200 prohibits unfair or deceptive business practices. Advertising a diamond online at $3,905.24 and later attempting to increase the price by nearly $1,800 after a customer has relied on that representation creates a significant discrepancy between the advertised price and the price the business ultimately attempted to charge.
Equally concerning is that multiple representatives within the company provided conflicting information regarding pricing and transaction terms. Written communications acknowledged one pricing structure, the website displayed another, and later the store attempted to apply a completely different “in-store sticker price” that had never been disclosed beforehand. For a purchase of this magnitude, consumers should reasonably expect consistent and transparent pricing policies.
I attempted to resolve the matter directly with the store in good faith and asked that the publicly advertised price be honored, which is a common and reasonable resolution in situations involving pricing discrepancies. Instead, I was told that the online price could only apply to a “standalone purchase,” despite the fact that no such limitation was disclosed anywhere in the store’s written policies or on the product listing.
Purchasing fine jewelry should be a transparent and trustworthy experience. Unfortunately, the lack of clear pricing disclosures, conflicting information from staff, and the attempt to charge a substantially higher price than what was publicly advertised made this transaction extremely frustrating. I would strongly encourage prospective customers to carefully document all pricing communications and verify final prices in writing before proceeding with any transaction.
The Jewelry Exchange is being wrongfully accused
The negative reviews are NOT for the same place! The jewelry exchange CENTER is not affiliated with the Jewelry Exchange and their locations. We almost got scammed by the other “company” but thankfully called the Jewelry Exchange to see if they had the items in our local store, to be told they were being imitated by these crooks and it was ongoing. We went into THEIR store and found a pair of comparable studs and the customer service was top notch. Sorry to whoever got scammed but The Jewlery Exchange is not the ones who should be getting the heat!
I ordered a 2ct lab grown diamond…
I ordered a 2ct lab grown diamond December 7th 2025.
I was told I would recieve a tracking # via email within 3 to 4 days.
I've called this company 25 times since December 14th 2025, and 23 of the calls were on hold until I gave up due to holding over 32 minutes or more each time . The two calls that were answered turnt out to be lies because it is now the 23rd and have no tracking number and no DIAMOND. After reading reviews yesterday about this company its seems to be a very shady company. I will try and get my money back from this scamming , fraudulant Jewelry Exchange Company . My advise ...PLEASE AVOID THEM!!!

STAY AWAY ... YOU WILL NEVER GET YOUR ORDER
Just like all the other Reviews I have fallen victim to this scam outfit .. Placed the order December 4th and after a week started asking about shipping .. They never pick the phone up once the automated operator picks up .. They only answered my email one I stated my email with fraud claim will be filed .. They the strung me along for another 1.5 weeks..and then last week they had the gall to charge me another $50 to ship overnight ... They had NO INTENTIONS on SHIPPING just unethical individuals scamming people .. I will Get my money back from my bank and like I aways say people like this will get their due.. It may not be today but at some point it will happen ..It will be Karma I just wish I could see or hear about it

Bought a diamond solitaire ring for my wife before Christmas. Ring was delivered and wife was happy. Last weekend, wife was sweeping at home and the diamond fell out of the ring. Called The Jewelry Exchange, told them what happened and that we have the diamond but would like it reset ( came with 1 year warranty supposedly). Spoke to a representative on the phone on April 3, 2025 and was advised that i would have to ship the ring to them at my cost and once they received it they would determine if it was covered under warranty. At that point, I said how could it not be covered, you made the ring and month later the stone fell out. Why do i have to pay for return shipping when you made a defective product. I then ended the conversation letting them know I was not happy (like they care) and that I would take the ring to a local jeweler for repairs. Just Beware, the rings on the website all look real nice but are made poorly.
Company Failed to Honor Return Policy
I purchased a ring from The Jewelry Exchange that did not match the description or my expectations. I returned it within the allowed timeframe per their return policy, yet I never received my refund.
To resolve the situation, I found another item to exchange it for, but despite reaching out multiple times, I never heard back from them. It’s extremely frustrating that they not only kept my money but also failed to respond to my request for an exchange.
This lack of accountability and poor customer service is unacceptable. If a company has a return policy, they should honor it. I cannot recommend The Jewelry Exchange to anyone.

Husband bought a Christmas gift at the very last second. Was not what my daughter told him I wanted. Went to exchange it, they had nothing. A tennis bracelet. Mine was not a tennis bracelet and they told him it was. Went in two weeks ago to exchange it. Told they us they would order in what I wanted. They still have not and trying to exchange for the one they had two weeks ago. Almost a carat less. They only have a 30 day refund policy. NO refunds. Customer service was horrible. Never go there. Will contacting the local news channel on them. I asked for the the proof of carats and quality and the lady there tells me it would cost $500 a diamond to get that. Costco even gives you that. In writing. Biggest scam jewelry store I ever saw.

Buyer beware! Don't buy, trust me. I ordered a yellow gold diamond ring (I never buy on-line, but did this time), they sent me a white gold ring. I ordered a SI 1 grade ring, they sent me a I 2 ring. The diamond is cloudy and not brilliant and clear like I was told by a CS Agent who I trust and spent 1 hour on the phone with him. I called to discuss the disappointment and they took no accountability. They did say I can return and get it replaced but I'd have to pay shipping and they'd have to build the ring. I need it by a certain date and no matter what I do, they won't meet the time line. The ring looks cheap after spending $3000.00. If I could rate them a "0", I would. Don't waste your time or money. Definitely, don't buy via the internet. Even with my issues, I can't return the ring at one of their stores. Inconvenient and horrible experience. THEY AREN'T HONEST! QUALITY IS POOR!!

Buyer beware, you get what you pay for
It’s true you have to be very careful dealing with them. They sell flawed diamonds at cheaper prices than the leading local diamond stores. All that said you can get basically a large diamond for a good price
