JD Gyms - Swansea Omdömen 

Equipment maintenance is very poor grips torn out ,equipment rusty and gives squeaky noises not enough proper weight locks. All machines can use some lubricants why management is ignoring this basic stuffs.

The music is absolutely horrendous. If you want to go to the gym to de-stress you will actually feel worse coming out. They may as well just say only under 21s can use the gym!!! I actually feel as though when I go there, I am in a nightclub rather than a gym. The music is just so loud, I can even hear it through my earphones!! I just feel worse and more stressed when I leave.

I’m loving it here! Recently joined after being in a smaller gym and it’s a new world! So so handy it’s open early aswell as I tend to train before work. Would recommend JD as it’s clean, extremely spacious and has loads of equipment specialised to lots of different types of training! Best decision I’ve made :)

I joined the gym for the first time ever while at the gym I was given an induction of a few machines in requested I use. The guy ( I think his name was Grayson, he was from Zambia) was patient and very supportive, everytime he sees me there now he greets me and asks how I’m doing.

The staff are helpful and friendly the problems I see in this gym:- The spin bikes are outdated and to be honest a disgrace. Having entered the studio to participate in body pump I found the mats were dirty and well worn also there were only12 steppers and these were in very poor condition. Also most of the clips that slide on the bars need replacing.

Some of the new equipment is already broken.
Hand gel would be useful as the equipment gets sweaty.

Very dirty toilet, closed locker rooms in the early morning hours, I don't recommend if someone wants to go straight to work after training, there is no way to take a shower

It can be very busy but there’s a range of machines which is great. I sometimes struggle to find enough plates

Good gym but paid £30 for a month cancelled straight away through the app as I was told to do if I wanted access for the entire month, only ended up being allowed in for 10 days. Ginger fella was also just a bellend and offered no help at all about the situation, won’t be going back.

I love going to JD gym because it ticks all the boxes for me. The location of the gym has free car park for 3hrs. The staff are brilliant especially classes that I attend with Grayson they are amazing. Sad to see that they have taken Dance Fit from Grayson’s classes.

JD GYMS Swansea , honestly is a great place to workout. The staff are so helpful especially Nkhata Richard . He is the reason I got a membership for my partner and I. His hospitality on the first I came to the gym was out of this world . It was just awesome . Thumbs up

Graysohn is an excellent personal trainer always professional and welcoming. I personally really enjoy attending his classes.

I’ve been using the gym for since just after Covid when it was exercise4less, then jd’s bought them out during Covid, love the gym, have made amazing friends & love the classes! Boot camp by Grayshon 👊 really hard! Has made hell of a difference to my fitness & shape 👌 spin class 👌 yoga 👌 I am gutted that body pump was taken off the menu as I got diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my knees 2 years ago & I joined that class because they weren’t lifting heavy weights, I limped into that class with 2 knee supports on, I could barely walk! Honestly! The difference that made to my life, I can’t thank Louise the old instructor who finished enough 👌 that class doesn’t run anymore ☹️ a lot of people did that class and are as disappointed as me with that decision!! 🤷‍♂️ also the gym buys matrix equipment! The old matrix equipment was far better than the new equipment purchased 🤦‍♂️ it’s just a digital clock , bike, runner 🤦‍♂️ honestly 💩 you should just buy the best life fitness equipment! You make enough money doesn’t take long to pay for that! So I gave 5 stars for my friends! But as a company you could do a lot better!! 👍

I have been a member of this gym for about six years. Over the years, the management and staff have changed, but I still prefer to stay because it is clean, well-organized, and most importantly, it has competent trainers. One of the best trainers still present is Grayson his classes are intense but enjoyable. Unfortunately, the Dance Fit class has been canceled, but even so, his classes still have a unique touch. My only complaint is that the monthly subscription fee is somewhat expensive.

Amazing gym, friendly staff and really supportive PT’s during classes. Highly recommend.

Martin showed me around and how to use some of the machines,felt comfortable in there but it was a Sunday morning so expect it to be busier in the week.

I had been a member of this gym for some years but I ended the contract because I enjoy classes. There is a trainer named Grayson who is amazing at his job and sadly his classes got depleted Grayson is still employed and doing amazing classes but not enough classes. It would be good if you asked others opinions on this and I think you will find he is favoured amongst customers

this gym is so big and filled with loads of great machines, so clean and amazing music, perfect perfect perfect gym. nice staff and great changing rooms.
