JD Gyms - Salford Omdömen 

Cannot really leave much of a review as I've only been a member for just over a week, gym in general is nice and clean staff seem friendly and helpful. Going to book a pt in a few weeks as I suffer with long covid, so I can improve my fitness.

Nice clean gym not like other gyms I have been to staff friendly and very helpful

The gym is equipment is good, the staff are good, the hours are good. The shower room is NOT good. Some people use the shower as a toilet and the smell is quite bad. There should be somebody on hand at all times to hose the floor down.

Lovely space, always really clean. Really good facilities. I like how there’s options to use the rooms when they’re free. Would be really nice to have a girls section in the Salford gym :)

Found it difficult entering and leaving the first two days and embarassingly had to wait at the entrance for a long time

Easy to join, and the plus membership offers good value and flexibility. Salford is the only gym I've visited so far, and the gym is deceptively spacious with good facilities; however, the female showers have a disgustingly strong smell of urine. Some of the equipment is broken, or dumbell weights are missing entirely. It's a busy gym so there can be a bit of a wait for machines and equipment.

I have never smelt poor hygiene like it!

I was almost sick, the smell of a certain individual filled the air leaving numerous members speechless.
I approached a member of staff to ask if he would be addressed to which she did not want to get involved and redirected me to the manager. I feel for this not to be challenged is unacceptable. It is poor gym etiquette and is equally as offensive as any abusive behaviour. Shame on the man for even having the cheek to complete a full workout. There has been other signs of poor behaviour at the Salford gym which again goes unchallenged. This really needs addressing and some staff training needs to be completed or employ someone with something about them. I am seriously thinking about leaving after today, I am far from soft but that was rank!

They have all tye basics covered for a commercial Gym. However, it's very crowded. And equipments are hard to get.

It's a very nice gym with good quality equipment, well designed layout and nice changing rooms. I enjoy coming here.
My biggest disappointment is JD's online tools/apps which is very minimal and you have to contact CS for everything and then wait a very long time to get a response (if ever). Also some of the equipment would welcome a bit of maintenance (usability is not affected only esthetics and comfort).

This gym is massive, the staff members are very supportive, the gym is clean and tidy most of the times. There are enough lockers available.I would be really happy if they maintain the toilets clean

Joined JD Gyms Salford when it opened in 2017. The equipment is in a really poor state of repair e.g. Treadmills not working - mgmt keep switching them on and off again hoping for the best; the carpet is destroyed and lifting in the prowler area, exposing the concrete below, surely a trip hazard and health and safety issue.

The management team also appear to be unmotivated and not interested. This is highly disappointing for such a well located gym from a trusted brand.

I am disappointed in how the gym has not been maintained and left to deteriorate to this extent, and therefore will be looking to move elsewhere

What will change things for your loyal customers? Repair hazardous situations like the prowler area, fix or replace threadmills that don’t work, put in place a management team that is capable of managing such a top tier location

From the get go I was greeted with a huge smile from one of the PT's, and from the staff to the members, it's the pub-like social atmosphere that makes the place...people interact far more than I experienced at most of the PureGyms whiles managing to still work out intensely!

Then there's the equipment; my hamstrings and quads have never had a better workout and I would say, although it hasn't got the same variety of machines as Flex 'n' Tone (a dedicated bodybuilding gym), JD's equipment is built far better than most the commercial gyms I've used in Manchester.

Only reservation is it doesn't have seated calf machine, but that's me being finicky. Edit: they actually do have a seated calf machine. I can't really think of anything they haven't got actually? Forgot to add, the staff keep the place impeccably clean and I rarely see members leaving dumbells or weight plates about. Keep it up JD!
