JD Gyms - Oldbury Omdömen 

I come to this JD Gyms every now and then and it is by far the best gym within the price range.The equipment is top notch and the leg machines are more than impressive.

The lighting is a nice tone that makes you feel like your in a nightclub and make your feel motivated to train hard.

There's more than enough equipment here so you won't be waiting.

This gym is Great,trust me you will not be disappointed.

Staff are very friendly amd helpful, the equipment is adequate to all my requirements. Gym goers are understanding of personal space which allows social respect and courtesy.

I recently visited JD Gym in oldbury and was thoroughly impressed by the impeccable cleanliness and the professionalism of Adam, the manager. Having observed Adam’s personal growth since his time at the West Brom gym, I can confidently say that he embodies the qualities of an excellent general manager.

The cleanliness of the gym was exceptional, with equipment sanitized regularly, and the facilities well-maintained. This aspect significantly contributed to a comfortable and hygienic workout environment.

Adam’s professionalism was evident in every interaction. He exuded confidence, knowledge, and a genuine passion for providing top-notch service to members. His dedication to his role as a manager was palpable, and it’s evident that he has invested time and effort into his personal development.

An amazing gym. Always clean with a great atmosphere. A special shoutout to Aj whos always really polite and has excellent customer service. I always see him around the gym cleaning and helping people out. He's always laughing with the employees or the members and makes the community there so much better.

I am deeply disturbed by the treatment I experienced at Oldbury JD Gyms on Sunday, February 11th, at approximately 6:00 PM. Upon entering the gym, seeking solace from personal challenges, I was met with hostility and intimidation by a personal trainer Ahmed Ali.

Despite having my hands adequately wrapped in boxing wraps, I was aggressively confronted by the trainer, who insisted I wear gloves while using the boxing bags. Despite explaining that my gloves were torn and left upstairs, I was met with dismissiveness and immediate demands for compliance, under threat of a warning to abandon my multi-gym membership and fearmongering about closing down my membership, as well as managerial involvement.

The behavior exhibited by this PT was alarming, resorting to fearmongering tactics by insinuating potential disease transmission, despite my hands being securely protected and wrapped. His repeated confrontations left me feeling belittled and intimidated, as he abused his authority in an attempt to assert control over me.

Furthermore, the PT claimed the manager was unavailable and uninterested in intervening, leaving the situation unresolved. This lack of concern compounded my distress, particularly as I was already grappling with severe anxiety and heartbreak.

As someone who relies on boxing as a sanctuary for confidence and stress relief, this encounter shattered that refuge, leaving me feeling vulnerable and shattered. As both a resident and employee of Sandwell Council, I am dismayed by the example set by this PT, especially considering the diversity of our community and the values of compassion and empathy we should uphold.

Such bullying and mistreatment have no place in a gym environment meant for personal growth and empowerment. The PT's actions not only tainted my gym experience but also worsened my emotional turmoil, leading to a breakdown afterward.

I urge JD Gyms management to thoroughly investigate this incident and take decisive action to prevent such behavior from recurring. No individual should be made to feel as small and helpless as I did that day, especially in a space meant for self-improvement and healing.

Shocking customer service.
After 1.5 months notice to leave the gym, I have had a confirmation that my membership will be cancelled.
No payment taken the following month so all seemed ok.
2 months after cancellation, all of the sudden the direct debit was reinstated and they charged me a month worth of membership. Once contacted, they blantently told me there won't refund me and I should contact my bank.
Shocking customer service after being a JD member since they virtually opened.

My friend wanted to train with me but wasn’t a member so I called the gym and spoke to AJ who was extremely helpful and was able to arrange that my friend could come and do a session with me 👍🏾
