JD Gyms - Newcastle Benton Omdömen 

I have been to cancel my membership for 3 months they have no record of me or can't find me with the limited every aspect of my information and finger print.yet take the payment for the account I apparently don't have. it takes weeks for a response from a npc all the while taking a month's money for 1 maybe 2 emails .They literally don't have or have lost my account and go on about data protection.Terrible customer service.

Claire is an amazing instructor- fun, energetic classes 👍

Absolutely fantastic spin class by Claire week after week. So motivating really enjoyable and friendly. Really looking forward to a spin with Claire even when your heart isn't in it for class / work out by the end your so pleased to o have attended.

Claire dancefit class is amazing, amazing instructor, with an amazing routine, that changes regularly, always positive and upbeat, definitely what I need after a stressful day

Staff are fabulous; lovely, friendly and always happy to help. Especially Jade and Gemma who keep the place spotless! The regulars are also a canny bunch. Good atmosphere

Done both spinning classes Monday morning and Wednesday evening with Si!
Havnt done spinning in a while but once I saw si on the timetable I had to go! Looking forward to more of his classes! Just wish he had more in the timetable weekly

Fantastic gym with 5 star instructors Si Evan’s, Paul, Jo , Connor, Claire Pearce and dale , claire Thomas to name but a few , are all brilliant. Best instructors by a mile . Thank you for keeping me fit in 2025

Love Si Evan’s 17:30 body tone class. Just brilliant.

Great gym with loads of kit available. Even at busy times you can still get a workout in. The whole gym is nice and the staff are always around helping or looking after the place

The class instructors are lush so friendly out you threw a good work out but make sure your looked after and only managing what you can with clear instructions - facilities mostly good but a few spin bikes need maintenance

Been a member of JD Benton for over 5 years now. Good selection of machines and free weights.
Generally good clean facilities and changing rooms. Only issue is smell and regularly slow drainage if showers especially at busy times.
Friendly staff

I am writing this review to warn potential customers of a little trick this company uses to get people through the door. I was told I could “return” as a customer without a signing on fee and it would “only cost me £10 for the month”. There are no contracts, no ties in, just £10 for the first month and if I don’t like it, I can walk away. Brilliant, I’ll give it a shot.

However, when I came to cancel after a couple of weeks, to avoid paying the £29.99 for the next month and onwards, I was informed via generic message that “it can take up to 30 days to action this, as JD Gyms admin are very busy”.

Of course, they didn’t action it in time, the two weeks before my next payment came and went, and I was indeed charged £29.99 for the second month that I didn’t want.

The gym is brilliant in all fairness. If you’re looking for a gym, I would have recommended these, but not now. If you’re going to sign up to these offers, please understand that you are committed for at least another month, or perhaps longer due to how busy JD Gyms admin apparently are!

I feel like I’ve been cheated out of £29.99 to be honest. Poor.

Been going here for nearly 3 years now its a great gym but just cant do more than 3 days in a row the clients are like tomb stones miserable ignorant stare at you I just have to go to the other gyms in the area the staff are miserable dont speak apart from.the guy in the office hes a gentleman staff should go out there way to speak to everyone lots come here have mental health problems or anxiety , self confidence issues a hello goodbye costs nothing !

Instructors with zero technique and understanding of how to behave in a class.

JD Newcastle, the showers are awful, not clean whatsoever, the drains are always blocked. The cleaneness of the women's changing rooms are rotten. We've seen the cleaner come in, do her eyebrows not clean anything and then sign the paper to say it's been cleaned. The equipment is the same tired equipment from when it was Exercise for less but the monthly price is a lot higher. Other gyms within the JD group are alot better.

Gym is really god but please turn the heating of in a morning it is verry hard to train

Hi, visited jd gym Benton tonight to do a spin class to see the class was full so unable to take part that’s fine but to see so many spin bikes broken and lined up in the corner is not very good. These bikes have been there a number of weeks without being repaired and this isn’t the first time. It’s unacceptable when people are paying good money and unable to do the activities they pay up for

First visit and love the place, kit is great and loads of it.

Love the layout and atmosphere and the staff were really helpful.

Only down side is the Internet and wi fi are not great but that's something minor. Overall great first impressions and looking forward to getting back to training regular in here
