JayWay Travel Omdömen 

So I will be honest and say that we did our trips with Jay way quite awhile ago. But we remember them very fondly and would like to talk about our experiences. I must’ve read something in the paper and I sent an email I think to Jayway and didn’t think anything of it. A short time later I got a phone call from America and being in Australia and having forgotten that I’ve sent that email I thought it was a dodgy call. Anyway, it turned out to be Jay himself ringing so that’s how early it was in the companies formation.. at that point I don’t think he had set travel routes that could be rejigged to suit the customer. It was just that Jay asked me where we had wanted to go and I had a vague idea, only because I’ve been to Croatia on a cruise ship and it just look wonderful to me.. so after a long chat and some helpful advice from him ,he did get back to me after awhile ,and come up with a really good comprehensive tour for us. Obviously there was a bit of tweaking here and there… and I’ll be honest. I really didn’t know how it was going to go…. But we decided to go ahead.. so from being picked up from the airport to being taken to Dubrovnik and walked to our apartment, we met the local contact there.. a lovely girl that gave us all the paperwork and all the information that we could require. So everything seemed fantastic and we had a great time and we had arranged day trips to Montenegro and also Bosnia which we did with a couple of free days at Dubrovnik.. then we had a meeting point to catch a bus to go to split… we had a half day there before getting on the ferry… to be honest, we had to meet the gentleman who had our tickets and we couldn’t find him… and then discovered him at the boat near the door to get on… this was before I had a mobile phone( luckily the girl in Dubrovnik gave us a phone which was very handy on a couple of occasions) so we caught the ferry to Hvar from split.. then we were picked up and taken to our accommodation at the top of the hill with the most amazing view out over the water back towards Croatia. We had organised one day trip with a gentleman and he picked us up out the front and the other days we had free.. then the ferry back to split where we moved to the next suburb along togir I think it was called.. we had an overnight stay there and then we picked up the car that we were hiring.. all organised by Jay.. therein lay the problem for us.. we had never used one of those thingo’s in the car that showed you where to go.. had no idea what to do. It took us ages to leave that little town. Eventually we got there.. but they drive on the different side of the road to us in Australia ,and my husband would drive with one set of wheels on the nature strip and one set of wheels on the road and he just could not fathom it out… not the sharpest tack! Anyway, we did stop at a couple of places for a couple of days and some of them were amazing. Some of them- I was a little bit ill so I didn’t appreciate how beautiful they were.. and when we finally got to lublyana ….. we rang using the mobile phone and organised for the car to be picked up because it was just useless for us… and because he was driving so badly we had a semi flat tire most of the time and solely our fault. So we asked for the car to be picked up and we just got around by ourselves.. but we saw amazing things and had a really good time sometimes a little stressful but mostly 90% of the time was just fantastic.
So the next time we went withJayway - it was a little bit different because a gentleman by the name of Charles looked after us and they pretty much had sort of set tours… but were happy to tweak them to suit us. So we came from Russia to Finland and then caught the ferry over to Estonia…. From Finland to Vilnius was all with Jayway. Some of the travelling was by ferry ,some by bus ,which was outstanding.( first class seats in the bus one seat to each side with your own TV and little fridge with drinks and stuff like that.) other times we had a private driver to take us between cities.. and at each city we had a 3 to 4 hour walking tour with a local guide to familiarise ourselves with the place before we stayed a few extra days.
An absolute highlight of our travelling career.. both of those tours. I can thoroughly recommend this company and I’m sure they just as good as when we used them… why haven’t we use them again?.. for some reason we seem to have got interested in cruising but I would definitely go with them again. Should the opportunity arise!

Without the help of Jayway, we would've never discovered this amazing bike trip!! Highly recommended, and not to be missed if you want to see the countryside in beautiful Croatia.

JayWay has been a great way for us to enjoy independent travel with the assistance of a travel company. We like having great assistance when first planning the trip, having a car arranged to pick us up at airport, knowing that hotels are reputable, having a country host to assist with things during the trip, having transport arrangements made for in country travel, and having it all in one package. Hassle free travel with Jayway! Our trip to Sorrento, Capri, and Naples was awesome. The 4 star hotels we chose were in great locations within walking distance of restaurants, site seeing, and shopping. Drivers were on time per out itinerary.

JayWay took all the stress out of planning a trip. They arranged all our connections and lodging and executed it flawlessly. Our in-country contact, Tamera, was always available and very helpful when we had any questions or issues. This was our second trip with JayWay and we will use them again. 5 Stars!!!

Our Experience with JayWay Travel is next level Satisfaction. From the initial planning stage (Ciaran) worked very hard to make sure we had everything we wanted. Our local contact (Adam) was not in Country but was with us every step of the way. Transfer Drivers were amazing but the Father/Son team was exceptional. The guides were great but Linda showed us a personal touch which was very much appreciated. JayWay travel is and always will be our only choice for overseas travel.

Our second trip by JayWay to Greece was another incredible trip that was curated to perfection. JayWay made planning our honeymoon to Poland so easy and fun. I would enthusiastically recommend JayWay to anyone I know. My wife and I came across them while doing research for a trip we were planning through Central Europe for our 25th wedding anniversary, and from the first time we contacted them through the end of our trip, they were responsive, helpful, and attentive to all of our requests and needs. Everything they planned for us went very smoothly, from our airport transfers, to our hotels, to our walking tours and excursions. We had a very busy and active trip, and we did not have to concern ourselves with even one logistical thing the entire time we were traveling. Whenever we had a question or needed assistance, our Central Europe based local contact was on top of it and made sure we did not have to stress even a little. They have a terrific, user-friendly online interface that allows you to easily see everything you have planned, and gives you all of the information you will need while you are on your trip to fit in with the local culture, to find your way around, to get good food, and to make sure you don't miss a thing. We will definitely be contacting them the next time we travel.

Jayway took the time to understand what was important to us. The hotel recommendations were spot on! The transfers could not have been anymore efficient! Also utilized many of their suggestions for things to do & places to eat. Totally stress free vacation! They arranged a private 8hr boat day around the whole island of Ischia which was the highlight of our trip- simply amazing!!!

We used JayWay Travel for our first European trip and I don’t think I could ever travel another way. From the start, Art helped us narrow down our ideas to choose Portugal, and gave some great advice that could only come from a seasoned traveler. He helped us customize our trip to our interests and answered our many questions. Their website was user-friendly and gave thorough information to help us choose our accommodations and daily activities.
Once the trip was set, we were handed off to our city host, Maria. She ensured that all of our activities were confirmed and asked further preferences to make sure we were comfortable with our day-to-day schedule. When we arrived, we were escorted to our hotel and met in person by Maria in our lobby. She reviewed the itinerary and gave recommendations that were very helpful. Throughout the trip, she checked in with us to make sure everything was going as planned. It was such a comfort knowing we had a personal contact in the city! Everything ran extremely smoothly and everything we did was five-star worthy. We highly recommend JayWay Travel!

I have traveled with Jay Way to Croatia Italy and Greece. Exceptional /professional/ service. All tours /hotels/transfers/tour guides/ drivers/restaurant recommendations were perfect. Plus having a contact person in each country for support.

My husband and I used JayWay to plan our 10 year anniversary trip to Europe. We wanted an agency that would provide us with a customizable experience, avoiding the "tour bus" group experience. JayWay not only delivered on that experience but exceeded it. From the very initial planning stages through our return home, JayWay went above and beyond with their services. Communication was excellent; we always recieved prompt responses and their customer service was top notch. Everything went very smoothly during our trip and our local representative, Adam, always made sure to check in with reminders and information related to our itinerary. Although we never encountered any issues during our trip, it was comforting to know that we did have someone who would be happy to problem solve. It is clear that JayWay vets their vendors throughly; all of our drivers/transfers were early, the excursions were selected were excellent, and the hotels were all as described/expected. Having the "Guest Page" was such a wonderful resource to have throughout the trip preparations and during. The resources and information that JayWay provided on the Guest Page made everything such a breeze and helped us be informed travelers. We are so thankful that we selected JayWay to make this trip memorable and cannot imagine traveling without them in the future!

Every aspect of our trip from initial planning to the time we left Italy went so smoothly. Melita helped us with planning and Andrea was our in Italy advisor. He met up with us upon arrival and checked in with us daily, even arranging coverage on a day he wasn’t working. He was able to troubleshoot a few minor things and arranged take away breakfasts on a few early days. Our 2 days with Daniele were great. He helped us find information on our family that immigrated from Tuscany in the 1920’s and we were fortunate to find relatives still living in their hometown! It was a spectacular day ! So thankful to have Daniele’s support. We would book with Jay way again in a heartbeat!

JayWay planners pulled together a very nice 5-day experience in Cortina d’Ampezzo for me and a friend. We wanted to undertake moderate half-day hikes to see some of the classic views and they arranged a fantastic guide for us who customized everything to our interests and abilities. They also arranged a private driver to/from Milan, our 5-star hotel and all transfers. It was seamless.

My longtime best friend and traveling companion and I are indeed Jayway fans. During the preliminary planning stages of our trips our Jayway agent is always successful in getting to know us on a warm and friendly level. This makes tailoring for us and booking our travels nearly foolproof. We often know exactly where we want to go and what we want to experience - but Jayway makes that happen and more - suggesting things that enhance our adventures all while being aware of our likes and dislikes.
We have had so many memorable experiences with Jayway drivers and guides who are always at-the-ready, adaptable and so very knowledgeable. Having an always reachable Jayway personal contact in each city we visit is absolutely invaluable - from last minute restaurant reservations to arranging for a difficult to find private doctor during a medical emergency in Milan (thankfully it ended well) is not only a convenience but proved to be crucial.
Our travels overseen by Jayway in Spain, Portugal, Italy and Switzerland have made our extraordinary experiences as effortless as possible.
