Have been buying this raw dog food for 4 years. Shar pei have tricky nutritional needs when I decided on a pup this time she had started life on raw so I maintained tho switched to jack wolf after trying a few others .. why ? Ethically the packaging is compostable, the selection offers Ebony a good variety she does not get bored .. any issues have been resolved immediately, all courier related , but no quibble replaced ..they keep you informed of updates and if they are having a shut down summer and Xmas for sure which ensures family run business has good work life balance .. the costs haven’t spiralled over last 4 years if there’s any difficulty in sourcing Ingredients they switch about selection or keep you informed and offer options explain if cost implication… the food arrives well packaged to assure remains frozen .. always arrives next day and packs fit easily onto freezer shelf as stackable … zero complaints .. oh final note vet cannot believe she is a spayed 4 year old with no health gut skin or eye problems … all I’ve done differently with her is this food so grateful for this diet it is exactly right for my happy pooch

Strange how almost every review is either five star or 1 star. I considered making mine a four star review, then realised that I couldn't really fault the company, or – more to the point – their product. I have been ordering their food for my dogs for the last six or seven years, and have had no serious cause for complaint. There have been occasional glitches, but they always respond to emails - that is my experience at least - and make good on commitments.

Their website has been a little confusing recently during a period when they have been changing some of their manufacturing and packaging options. The food, however, remains consistently good, and the dog has had no problem with it.

Delivery has always been via DPD, who are exceptionally reliable in my area – Brighton. It might be that living not that far from where the company is based has meant that I have not struggled with any delivery issues. I can’t speak for those who live further afield.

One minor niggle: the new film packaging means that I need a container so as to be able to decant portions out of the freezer and into the fridge. The container that Jack Wolf themselves sell is over-large for 500 gram portions. I have found an alternative on the net which fits much better. It’s worth shopping around.

And to those who complain that the food is too minced up: I give my dog a raw chicken wing every other day so that he has something to get his teeth into.

I was using your food for my Rhodesian ridgeback,up to about 2 months ago , I was told it’s changed owners , the duck is full of water and slimy, my dog won’t eat it anymore ,shame she used to love it

Switched from Butternut Box. Dogs had lost weight and had intermittent upset tummies. Now dogs are doing really well. Put on weight and no more upsets.
Also, much prefer the transparency on price unlike Butternut box.

I would have been a new customer if they had replied to my email sent over two weeks ago. I also noticed they don’t say anything to other customers who have had a bad experience with them. So I will avoid this company. Thanks

Have been using this company for a few years never an issue my dog absolutely loves the food people always comment on his lovely shiney soft coat 😊

Good food but expensive and often delivered partially thawed or defrosted.
We order a periodic (monthly usually) deliveries in the more expensive sustainable wool and compostable packaging but 2 out of the last 3 times despite being delivered before midday, one delivery had started to get soft and some bags had defrosted, and on another delivery, they were all defrosted - not good for refrezing of a frozen food service. more should be done to insulate as clearly the wool isnt good enough.
I am glad they offer the more sustainable packaging as the polystyrene packaging was terrible to dispose of and not good for the environment because no where recycles it. The tubs also didnt fit well in the freezer due to their shape - the bags are much better
They also dont seem to plan for weekends when shipping, so one end of the month if it lands on a weekend or bank holiday, we can be without dog food for a few days - not great planning for a subscription service.

I didn’t get a discount on my first order and do not know why but am pleased with the product and the way it was packed. I will buy again.

One downfall and it isn’t the company’s fault but DPD literally dumped the box on my step without knocking or ringing my doorbell ( I have footage). It was 25C and the bag was clearly marked that it contained frozen items.
The DPD tracker said left on porch - I have no porch. Maybe a different carrier service please.

Wow told I would get 25% discount on 2 orders . Second order would not honour, poor customer service via email only .. I have fed raw for 8 years and order around 800kg a year. Opportunity LOST, good luck with your business lots of competition with same product but better service….

Poor customer service and no loyalty from this company whatsoever. No phone number to ring for nutritional advice and they will not speak to any individual. Ask for emails. Not good when you need to discuss your animals health issues.
Customer for 5 yrs but no more. Check them out before you buy.

I recently placed an order that the provider cancelled two days later. They cancelled as I used a promo code that my parents used previously. My dog is going run out of food. I’m so annoyed as loyalty means nothing. If the promo code is only valid to one per house then they should have a restriction on the website or a warning. I have emailed a complaint and await the response. They say they care about our dogs health but don’t care my dog will be restricted due to allergies. I’m furious. I will edit this post when I get a response. I guess I’m forced to look at other dog food providers in the meantime. I could cry as this is so stressful.

I have been feeding my Westie their food now for over a year. I can honestly say she loves it, service is great as it comes within a few days and the price is realistic especially with it being already made up and packed professionally. Also they have a good range of different meat.
I would recommend 100%.

I ordered some dog food and had a confirmation email at 9.57 on Tuesday. They say orders placed before 2pm are despatched same day and delivered next day. Nothing arrived, so I contacted them via their contact form and replied to the confirmation email at 3.45pm. Nothing arrived by 6.30pm so I sent another email chasing it. By 11.30am on Thursday I still had no delivery and no contact from them whatsoever, and there is no phone number on their website. They have taken the money from my bank and sent nothing and ignored all efforts to contact them. I had to raise a dispute with my bank which may or may not get me my money back. All the good reviews must be fake because I cannot be the only person they have scammed. Don’t use these thieves they are fraudulent scammers.

I have tried various brands of raw for my bulldogThis is definitely the best . He loves the food , has no funny reactions to it ie - runny poos etc . His poos are solid and easy to pick up on this food and he loves it . Also it is easy to store as it comes in convenient plastic containers and there is a wide variety of flavours for him so he’s not eating the same thing over and over again . One container a day is perfect for his size so I don’t have the bother of having to weigh it out and I just split the container into three meals for him . My personal opinion is that it’s the best raw brand out there . Many thanks .

Our Cocker puppy was completely uninterested in the puppy kibble that we started her on (and she was initially weaned on to) - the breeders recommended trying her on Jack Wolf - that's what her mum ate, and they're a company local to us so we were keen to try it.

From day 1, our dog has absolutely wolfed this food down (excuse the pun!) - She's now 8 months old and absolutely thriving. We order the variety pack each time so she doesn't get bored with the same flavour.

The team at Jack Wolf are brilliant at communicating with clear messages in their emails. The website is easy to use, and the ordering process so quick and stress free.

The boxes are packaged up with great insulation such that if the food is delivered while we're out, there's no risk of the food defrosting.

We're really pleased to be able to support a local business - and our dog is a big fan!

My pooch loves this! Had been a fussy eater but finally found some food that she adores!

I got my Tilly on Jackwolf the day I got her she has not stopped enjoying it. I love that I can also order dried natural dog treats and containers to store them in. The website is easy to use (I shall go into that more later). The staff are helpful and friendly. The blogs are also interesting to read when you get time give them a read. Raw feeding is scary at first but the more you read the more out get it.

The only bad thing I can say about Jackwolf. Is it seems the 500g tubs, Are either under or over the weight they are supposed to be. I would like to see a raw food range in sausage wraps for those of us with smaller fridge freezers. The hard plastic containers seem to take up a lot of space.

I love Shopify sites they are easy to use for all online users. I can see why they have grown and are popular with your favourite brands in turn helping them grow in this case Jackwolf. I love that I can track all my orders on the shop app and see where each order is.

The communication is fantastic the owners are in local dog groups on Facebook. interacting and addressing concerns and issues members bring up from time to time. I've also gotten relevant emails from JW about price increases and the last order for the Christmas shut down. It's understandable selling a meat product prices would go up over time.

I have just stuck to the original starter pack and then ordered the same again for my second order. But next time I'm thinking to order some individual ones like venison. For a change, so Tilly can try something else.

Had a trial box as my pooch has always been fed raw so thought I would try this brand.

So disappointed as it is just like baby food. No meaty structure at all. Just been pureed raw meat and veg.

Dog ate it, but constantly hungry as no substance to it. I would be hungry if all my food was so blended it was just like having soup.

Wont be buying. Not only that, had to throw most of it away is no matter what meat source you ordered it contained chicken so was not a pure meat source.

Odd that they asked if dog had any allergies and I stated chicken!!!! So sent food with chicken in.
