Bad Quality & Bad Service
NOTE: THIS REVIEW IS FOR JACKET MAKERS (PLURAL)...NOT JACKET MAKER (SINGULAR).
The jacket I received from JacketMakers.com (note: NOT JacketMaker.com) was 5" smaller in the chest than advertised. I also STRONGLY suspect that the jacket sleeves are synthetic or bonded leather...as opposed to the "genuine leather" indicated on their product listing. If the jacket was really made of real wool and genuine leather, why would they choose not to include the customary label indicating the jacket is made of real wool and genuine leather. And the sleeves clearly didn't smell like genuine leather and weren't soft, supple and warm to the touch like genuine leather is. The textured pattern was uniform indicating it was likely machine stamped instead of irregular with clearly visible pores, scars and nicks like genuine leather. And water drops beaded up on it instead of being absorbed into the material like it would be for genuine leather.
JacketMakers.com dismissed my complaints and refused to allow me to return the product without charging me a $50 "restocking" (e.g. exhortion) fee and return shipping charges. They responded with a photo that supposedly proved my jacket was the right size featuring some jacket (who knows if it was the one they sent me?) with a soft tape measure with a comical amount of loose slack draped across the chest showing a grossly inaccurate measurement and telling me that I must have measured in error (completely ignoring the photo I sent them clearly indicating that my measurement was slack free and accurate). When I pointed out the slack in the tape measure and that there was no reason to believe that the jacket in the photo was the one they sent me, they ignored those points and repeated that I would be charged the $50 restocking fee and have to pay return shipping if I wanted to return the jacket.
Therefor, I had to resort to contesting the charges with my credit card company and have no doubt I will prevail. I would NEVER consider buying from JacketMarkers.com again and strongly recommend that you don't as well!
