My experience with IVI Madrid (fertility clinic) during the video consultation was not the best. The interaction felt quite cold, rushed, and lacking in empathy.
A video consultation already feels distant, but this felt more like a transactional, business-like interaction rather than a genuine human conversation.
It would be helpful if patients could choose their doctor before booking, as this could improve the overall experience.

Expérience très décevante et même désagréable en 2018: dysfonctionnements et amateurisme dans le processus administratif initial et en cours de processus de congélation d’ovocytes (documents juridiques nuls, problèmes de rdv...). Ensuite personnel désagréable ( infirmière qui montre comment faire les piqûres très désagréable, clairement elle ne voulait pas être là); manque d'empathie de la part des médecins qui regardaient leur montre. Plusieurs dysfonctionnements: oubli d'appel pour la dernière piqûre, j'ai du appeler la clinique à 23 h pour vérifier; ensuite on m'a appelé deux jours après la ponction pour me dire que finalement des ovocytes avaient été ponctionnés ! Anesthésiste très stressé qui a raté sa première piqûre. Et puis, l'impression d'être une portefeuille sur pattes. Traumatisant.

Salve noi qualche anno fa andammo dai genitori di ivi bari per un consulto dove ci dissero cose orrende che non potevamo avere figli forse da provare l ovodonazione. Ma dopo un anno sono incinta e ora di 6 mesi senza ovodonazione e cose varie. Sono solo dei ladri

I am very disappointed with IVI’s service. Money was automatically charged for a subscription I did not use, and a refund is not possible according to the service’s rules. This is frustrating and unfair. I hope IVI improves its refund policy and notifications about charges in the future.

Ho iniziato il mio percorso due anni fa,è stato faticoso , non nego che ci sono stati momenti di sconforto.
Ma bisogna crederci sempre fino in fondo.
Sono stata fortunata a rivolgermi ad ivi Madrid ed ad incontrare le persone che hanno accompagnato il mio percorso.
Il dott.Ortega in primis per la professionalità, competenza e la positività che mi ha sempre trasmesso.mi ha sempre sostenuta.incoraggiandomi ad andare avanti e ad essere forte.
Ha avuto ragione e lo ringrazio dal profondo del mio cuore per essere stato non solo un medico.
A tutto il team, che mi ha dato assistenza sempre in ogni momento, ai Dottori che ho incontro durante il trattamento, a tutti Grazie.

Sono stata seguita per un' anno e mezzo fatto sia io che mio marito duemila esami all' inizio primo tentativo nulla, secondo tentativo alla 5 settimana non si sentiva il battito poi a marzo di quest' anno decidiamo di riprendere ma il dottore che ci seguiva dov'era nata una certa empatia e fiducia vince un concorso fuori Roma tanto di cappello ma invece di farsi seguire magari saremo andati a Bologna ha pensato di delegarmi come un pacco ad uno staff che non c'era empatia e né da parte mia molta fiducia, durante il percorso mi viene a mancare il mio cagnolino non vi dico come lo presa mi ero presa un po' di tempo per riprendermi ma mi hanno messo fretta ed io sono crollata e svenuta perché tra il dolore e gli ormoni sono caduta a terra loro mi hanno chiamato dopo 5 GG gli ho detto che nn avevo nessuna intenzione di tornare da loro neanche morta! Uno schifo con tutti i soldi che uno paga rispetto e educazione non fanno parte di queste persone! Lo staff amministrativo compensava le lacune che avevo con lo staff medico, loro sono stati molto gentili e vicini al nostro percorso ❤️

AVOID this clinic if you can. Regardless of what was agreed upon, the clinic does not adhere to it. Decisions are made without consent, requiring further treatment. We wonder if this is a business model, as it ultimately generates more revenue. Trust is being abused. Avoid this clinic!

Disappointing experience with IVI Bilbao.
We made it clear to our doctor that we wanted fertilization even if only 9 mature eggs were retrieved. On the day of the egg collection, we were told the eggs had already been vitrified – without being asked or giving our consent.

No one explained that this decision had to be made before the retrieval, and now we have to pay extra for vitrification, a procedure we never agreed to.

We feel deeply disappointed by the lack of clear communication and accountability. For such an expensive and emotional process, we expected transparency and respect for our decisions.

The journey with IVI is wonderful,all staff are very polite and helping nature and both the Doctors are very good. Dr Tom is very polite and humble and he dealt my case very intelligently, Nurse team is very careing. Thankyou All for support, effort and constant guidance.

I did my first round of IVF ever with IVI. We chose them from our list of NHS clinics available, it was quite a commute as we live in Essex and they’re just next to Harley Street. However their stats were amazing and I’m so glad we did as I am very proud to say WE’RE NOW PREGNANT FIRST ROUND!! From the reception team to the nurses and Dr Tom, everyone is warm, nurturing, professional and empathic! I felt and still feel supported every step of the way. Honestly can’t recommend them enough! Siamo stati seguiti da IVI Bari, IVI Casilino e infine da IVI Lancisi, abbiamo pagato quasi l'aria che si respira in ogni sede, solo false aspettative ed illusioni , dopo 2 fallimenti zero risultati ma pronti a rivendere nuovi "pacchetti ".

L'ovodonazione secondo la loro propaganda riporta il 99% di successo.....peccato che dopo 2 trasfert risultato 0....per non parlare dei vari pacchetti "offerti" cone le scaole cinesi che portino il prezzo finale ben oltre i 14000 euro.certo potremmo essere quell'1% ma allora dovrei vedere 99 recensioni positive

Everyone at the IVI Clinic are extremely friendly, kind and supportive. Throughout my journey the team have been fantastic. The IVF journey is a rollercoaster, the team have always remained positive and focused to get me to my end result. Huge thank you to those that have supported me over the last 2 years.

Good Customer Service, serene environment and good services

Sono stata seguita per due anni. Mi hanno fatto fare mille analisi e spendere tantissimi soldi per poi scoprire che il fallimento è stato causato dagli ovuli di bassa qualità che hanno scelto LORO.
Due anni infernali, sottoposta a ogni forma di tortura senza risultati.
15mila euro buttati è tanta sofferenza inutile.

Me and my husband have been patients in IVI London twice. Four years ago, result of which we have a daughter and this year for another transfer, which was successful. Both experiences were great and nothing to add. Dr Tom was really profesional and helpful, like the rest of the team always approachable and answering all questions. We are very pleased with the treatment and approach. We are really grateful and I would recommend IVI London clinic to anyone. Again thank you.

Qui l'educazione è morta

Expérience très décevante, malheureusement en phase avec de nombreux autres commentaires négatifs.
IVI était certainement très professionnel jusqu´à son rachat par des fonds d´investissement privés notamment américains. Depuis lors, IVI est devenue une cash machine obnubilée par sa rentabilité financière au détriment de la satisfaction des patients et adepte de pratiques commerciales douteuses (le taux affiché de 90% de succés est mensonger car il concerne les ovodonations). Au niveau médical, j´ai pu constater une méconnaissance de certaines pratiques standards visant à maximiser les chances de succès d´une FIV (ex : pas de test de décongélation d´un échantillon congelé, pas d´utilisation du time-laps incubator, du fertichip...).
Mon expérience personnelle se résume à 3 tentatives de FIV terminées en échec (dû pour les deux dernières à des recommendations inadéquates et des négligences professionelles) et 18000 euros dépensés net (après remboursements partiels).
Le premier échec évitable a eu lieu alors que nous étions pleinement conscients que les chances de succès étaient extrêmement limitées (ma compagne était considérablement affaiblie par une infection). Malgré des signaux inquiétants, que nous avions clairement exprimés à l’équipe médicale, IVI a décidé de poursuivre la procédure, soldée par un échec.
Le dernier échec fut provoqué par une conservation et manipulation inadéquates de l’échantillon de sperme utilisé. Là-encore nous avions préalablement exprimé nos inquiétudes concernant la viabilité de la congélation et décongélation du sperme compte tenu de sa qualité. Echec total car l´échantillon n´a même pas été utilisé.
Contrairement à ce qu´écrit IVI dans sa "réponse", l´impact de certains facteurs sur la probabilité de succès (infection pulmonaire chez ma partenaire, congélation de ma semence dû à un déplacement imprévu) n´a jamais été clairement communiqué. Le bon sens commandait dans le 1er cas d´interrompre le processus et dans le 2e de retarder la ponction de deux jours (une autre clinique m´a démontré que c´était possible).
Bottom line : j´ai pu constater chez IVI une négligence professionnelle préoccupante. J´ai également observé un manque évident de communication entre le médecin et les embryologistes qui semblent travailler de manière isolée et peu coordonnée (il n´était pas rare que l´un dise blanc quand l´autre disait noir). Il apparaît clairement que la priorité accordée au processus semblait davantage orientée vers le bénéfice économique que vers la réussite réelle et responsable du traitement. Il va sans dire qu´IVI s´est montré fermé à toute tentative de résolution amiable de ce qui précède. Je ne recommande pas IVI.

I had a great experience at IVI Madrid! Very professional and amazing doctors. Always felt like they listened to me and that I had the best team around me. They took my calls even on festive days, and took me in and gave me quick answers when I had a scary experience on a weekend. We are pregnant on our first try!
