BEWARE - An extremely expensive lesson
We recently used Inzuzo for pre-qualified lead generation. They are very expensive but we were impressed with their patter and thought we would give them a go to see how this turned out. Even though they said we could start with six leads a month just before we signed it went to eight but we thought we'd give it a try still.
Firstly the on-boarding was zero. We were not shown how to use their system. We were given a log in and that was it. This became an issue later on which is explained below.
Secondly, there were two of us using the lead generation service and they cannot alternate who gets a lead unless you manually switch off wanting a lead then manually turning it back on. Even when we did this it didn't work as my colleague still got the leads even though he was on holiday (shown in his diary).
There were some ok leads over the two months we trialled this but there were a lot of issues with a large number of the leads. These leads are expensive because they are meant to be validated/pre-qualified prior to us being passed the lead. We found out after we had fed back on a number of the leads that were not what was said they were, that we had to let them know via our log-in to their site within 24 hours or we wouldn't get a replacement lead or it being repriced (no refunds). This caused an issue as there were many times that this was the case before we were told we needed to go through their site.
Issues in the two months we used Inzuzo we found were:
- Leads having no-where near what Inzuzo had supposedly validated.
- After a 80 minute drive to a meeting, the first thing that was said was "This will be a waste of your time as I did tell them I don't need an adviser". I then had an 80 minute drive back to the office.
- There were a number of leads (too many) that had the initial meeting (enough for us to be charged) but then no further contact. This is frustrating as so much work goes into this.
- A lead was offered meetings with other companies before we they were offered us. Part of their sales patter is this does not happen.
- A lead confirmed she had stated she didn't want advice just information. When we questioned this Inzuzo would not share the call with us and would not refund us.
- Two clients who live abroad so we cannot give them advice unless they are in the country. One is over every couple of years for a couple of weeks so won't be back until 2025 and the other is domiciled elsewhere so only able to be in the country a certain amount of days.
The final straw was we were told we would get a replacement lead for one we had got but wasn't even close to what Inzuzo had told us it was, so one of the occasions they hadn't done their job properly, but then we were told that as we let them know a few hours over the 24 hour period (which we didn't know the process for) they were charging us for it still.
For me, the big thing with working with anyone is fairness and Inzuzo were not fair, not forthcoming with information, that we paid for and not truthful. I don't know if it was intentional or just not very good at what the profess they are good at.
I have not given a bad review of anyone or company in the past, this is my first which says a lot. Spending over £12,000 with them in two months was a very expensive lesson.
One final point, not one single lead that was incorrect, and there were a lot, was never so it was a lower price band, they were exaggerated to be a higher price band...a lucky coincidence for them.
