Fiona Macrae
After Fiona Macrae, Insurancewith’s founder, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005, she found it almost impossible to get affordable travel insurance. Like anyone else, she was looking forward to a holiday, but sensibly-priced cover seemed out of reach.

Great price, includes Air Doctor Connect, chrome browser login problems
I checked the specialist medical insurance comparison sites and Insurance With had the best reasonable price for an annual insurance. Many other companies only offered trip insurance. I was emailed the travel documents and then tried to login to the site, this failed. Eventually found Insurance With had issues with chrome browsers at the time, early April 2026. I use an old Chrome version since my old Mac can't upgrade to the lastest IOS. Contacted Insurance With and they emailed me a link to reset the password which allowed me to logon for the first time. I was pleased to find Air Doctor Connect was included with the insurance.

No longer able to recommend
Customer service did get back to me, but had to be prompted by an email from myself, very long winded email explaining why the insurance for a trip to Mexico had gone up from just over £360 to £1500 in 2 years (an increase of over 400%). Unfortunately I feel I can no longer use this company or recommend them. I have copy and pasted the main aspect of their email below.
premiums take into account each aspect of the policy including: age, destination, length of trip, policy type and a combination of any declared medical conditions.
The prices are reviewed regularly with many factors that can impact the price including inflation, global events and industry claims data. These factors will also vary depending on the destination and we try and ensure each customer pays an appropriate price for their individual circumstances. The price of your new quote is in line with the increases made.
The price increase you have seen is reflective of these changes over 2 years.

The process was quick and easy to complete. Priced has increased a bit but so has everything else.

It's a Matter of Trust.
It's relatively straight forward to complete the application documents online and we found that when there's some issues requiring clarification, staff were available to offer advise over the phone. Because of having additional health issues, the cost of our coverage did increase significantly but we are continuing to place trust in Insurancewith to offer a trustworthy service.
We have not had any need to make a claim, so can't offer comment about that process.

Implantable Loop Recorder (ILR) quote
I asked for a callback appointment which took place today. I had heard about the offshore call centers and when the young girl called my heart sank.
I wanted to discuss an Implantable Loop Recorder that my wife has been fitted with. I asked the lady if she knew what this was and she said she did but it was obvious that she didn't have any idea.
She went to discuss it with someone else who obviously didn't have a clue either.
I've heard nothing since even though i was promised an email from them.
I find it sad that a company that specialises in medical insurance conditions can employ people like this.
ILRs are common devices to monitor heart rhythm over several years and several were fitted to other patients on the same day as us.
