While I initially LOVED InKind, they have been transformed into a program that leaves users confused, encouraging diners to eat out, only to find that the promos won’t combine with their cash on the account. I’ve spent too much on dinner, assuming my discounts would avoid the pain, only to find the new InKind won’t allow me to get the value I’d expected.

This was a great app, but now it’s become a frustrating scam!

I think if you use this wisely and read the instructions is a very nice app ! I live in the city so plenty of restaurants. It’s really a promotional tool to help restaurants and if you get a discount I think is totally worth it. It is not really a dining card but is a referral based system so the customer gets only what’s coming to them . People are trying to use it who don’t understand its purpose . Don’t complain - learn to use it !

Who doesn't want FREE money? We have been using Inkind for a couple months with absolutely NO problems. Every restaurant we have tried has been amazing. We have been introduced to so many new restaurants. We have saved so much money using this app. We honestly have not had a single issue using Inkind. The use of this app makes paying the bill at restaurants the easiest experience ever. We highly recommend this app.

The app was difficult to use. The staff was unable to help and wasnt sure about it. The whole point of downloading this app was to get a promotional offer which I didnt get bc nobody knew how to operate this app.

My experience was with Tyler Payne, Restaurant Specialist at inKind.
Tyler reached out regarding a potential restaurant partnership. Before introducing him to my grandfather’s restaurant, I asked for basic information so I could understand who I was dealing with, what the proposed relationship was, and whether it was appropriate to put him in contact with the restaurant.
Instead of providing meaningful due-diligence information, I was sent generic marketing materials. When I pushed for basic clarification before giving him access to the restaurant or its decision-makers, I was told that nothing further could be sent unless he first spoke directly with the restaurant.
I explained that I was not comfortable exposing a family business to unsolicited sales outreach without first properly vetting the person and company involved. Rather than addressing those concerns, Tyler Payne simply ended the conversation with: “I understand. Thanks for the chat anyway. Best of luck!”
That response confirmed my concern that there was very little interest in answering basic questions before attempting to gain direct access to the restaurant.
Based on my experience with Tyler Payne and this outreach from inKind, I would strongly recommend that restaurant owners conduct their own due diligence, ask detailed questions, and verify exactly who they are dealing with before sharing business information or making introductions.
Personally, I would not engage further after this experience.

Ive sent several emails to the company asking for reimbursement for a special they advertised and I couldn't use. No reply at all!!! I was going to dine at an in kind restaurant tonight..but decided against it and went to another restaurant with a different app!

I've tried a lot of new restaurants because of In Kind and have only had good experiences using the app. Today I got 25% cash back on a meal and was able to bundle it with a $20 off $60 coupon code InKind sent me. I also earned $150 in referral bonuses during a referral bonus promo.

A $20 credit for Rebellion Pizza off a $60 order was advertised, unfortunately using the inKind app only. I installed it, used the app to order the pizza, made note of the offer (which was the method through which the app was installed) and no discount was ever seen. InKind was contacted, and it took quite a while but eventually they stepped up and honored it. The InKind app is not easy, and Rebellion Pizza in Vegas does not honor it despite what they say.

Great app, great program, great discounts… I’m an avid foodie and travel the country. I live in las vegas, but just recently started using this app and the Scottsdale Phoenix market and the las vegas market and see the immediate benefit. For those of you that are struggling working with the app I don’t know what to tell you as it’s pretty damn user-friendly. You don’t need to be a tech guru to figure it out. Just put a credit card on there and pay for the bill or a portion thereof by putting the check number in and you’re done. Great job developer team!

We’ve used InKind app three times so far and everything has been great! Started off getting the discounted gift cards at Costco when they had a sale ($64.99 for $100 worth, so right there was an immediate 35% savings). It’s easy to also split a bill with the app so if there is an offer for $25 off $50 you can save that way as well as the other person, assuming you meet the spend requirements. Plan out your visit beforehand and how you’ll spend and save and it makes it worthwhile. We live in the Washington, DC area so there are a lot of restaurant options to choose from.

InKind is an absolutely amazing app.

It’s very user-friendly and offers a level of rewards and discounts in restaurants that I haven’t seen from any other app. It also makes payments extremely easy and convenient.

I’ve also noticed they are consistently adding more restaurants, which makes the platform even more valuable over time.

I highly recommend it!

I also have the opportunity to work with InKind through my company, and I’ve had the chance to meet some of their team members — they are genuinely kind, trustworthy, and doing an outstanding job building something very useful for both restaurants and customers.

I've tried to use the app a couple of times now. They're aren't many restaurants in my area that take it, and for the two I tried, one restaurant said the app wasn't working and when I tried to pay at the other, my bill was $4 short of qualifying (a restriction i couldn't see ahead of time). So, im not having much luck.

I ate at certain restaurants to earned credit. I then found out the credits expire . They expire so in kind can make more money what a scam.

Customer support won't reply to emails after waiting 3+ days. They bait and switch, I accumulated over $1000 in app balance to use at various restaurants in nyc in combination with occasional promo offers but as of a few weeks ago they no longer allow the use of promo offers with the account balance.

I love this app and program. It brings even better value when you buy the gift cards at Costco.com. So many restaurants and no restrictions at any of them. Great customer service as well. Any negative reviews are from people who don’t know how to use the program - it’s amazing. Use it

Went to the restaurant try to pay with the app could not restaurant didn't have any info on it later I found out that even if the restaurant was listed sometimes you cannot pay with it I get the discount they promise not user friendly and very inefficient

I had received a 80% off inKind cash link from a representative as a result of an earlier issue, and then tried to use the link but it wasn't working. Then when I asked for it to be replaced the representative said they could no longer help.

Seems like a huge bait and switch, their offers change regularly and they do not honor what is communicated by their support team. Would advise caution with their bonus/inKind cash purchase offers.

You're sitting at the restaurant with your date, stumbling around trying to find the freaking discount, then just give up. You call them, and they relay the obscure place where it resides. You skip this joke of an ap forever until you find a 15 buck off offer for an online purchase, which naturally, at check out, is nowhere to be found. How this company stays in business is miraculous

I don’t understand all the negative reviews about InKind. I admit I was skeptical when seeing the promos and I didn’t start using the app till I saw a $25 off $25 offer and figured why not? I am really pleasantly surprised by my experience. While the restaurant selection could be more robust, there are enough I am familiar with to have used it. I even found a great Japanese place with a really good happy hour on the app. I was not thinking I’d use it a lot but found I’m going to keep it and I’m using it about once a month. Also, I did have to reach out to customer service (my fault, not theirs) and they did a great job and went beyond my expectations.

Worked great the first couple times we used it. However, my husband and I went to a restaurant only because we had a reward for $20 that was about to expire. When we tried to pay using the app, we kept getting an error message stating that.” they are having problems connecting and to try again”. We kept trying for 30 minutes before we finally had to pay the whole amount using our cc. Customer Service is a joke when they only allow you to contact them through email responding 24-48 hours later. No phone number listed. BEWARE!!!!
