This is a scam

This is a scam. I tried to purchase a book and it would not let me order. I had to make sure nothing was taken out of my account. Do not buy from this site. The site is also faulty.

I placed the order 9 days ago

I placed the order 9 days ago. The order status is still in process, not processed, not shipped. I emailed three times to the customer service. No response at all. The first email is 6 days ago. Just FYI they said in the website that the order will be shipped in 24h. Terrible service. No support. With no response from the customer service not sure how to get the money back even. Terrible customer service. I will complain on every platform and find all internal people working for informit to complain

Its being more than a month I ordered a…

Its being more than a month I ordered a book from them ... never received it although it was suppose to arrive between 3 to 7 days. I already bought it from amazon amd got it. There is a reason why smaller companies like them lose business to amazon ... its not for price but because sheer incompetence and horrendous customer service. Never received the book and they wouldn't refund me so I basically lost 50$.

Poor costumer service

I have bought a book here and while it was very easy to order it, I cant get in contact with the costumer service! I have emailed them 3 times and have not received a response.

Bought 2 e-books. I am pleased.

Bought 2 e-books from informIT and i also got a 50% discount code for completing their survey. After the paiment was completed i could download the pdf/epub/mobi right away from my account page.
I am very very pleased!

I strongly recommend buying E-BOOKS from informIT!

Poor service

I bought an ebook from informIT, Payment is deducted from my credit card. Then it should be available in the download area. after 48 hours and so many emails to customer support and to the help desk and nothing happened. It is poor service from InformIT

Didn't go smoothly, but in the end it is OK

Poor customer service. I ordered a papperback book from them. I had an account that was few years old and my delivery address was no longer valid but at no point during the purchase the delivery address is displayed. I realized my mistake too late after pressing the order confirmation. The book is coming from the US so i had two full weeks before the book would turn up. That's plenty of time to correct the problem you'd think. No. I've been trying for 2 weeks now to get them to change the delivery address or authorize the courier to hold it in their depot. They have not responded to the 5 emails i sent them and there is no other way to contact them. With COVID19 the courier no longer require a signature so they will just drop it on the doorsteps 200 miles away from where i live now. And i know no-one there that coukd return it to the courier. So frustrating

[EDITED] I've upgraded my rating from one star to four. Ideally that would have been a 3.5 but given they resolved my problem it's more a 4 than a 3. They ultimately contacted me, apologies for the delay in responding, which given the COVID context i could understand and sent me a replacement book at no cost. It is still disappointing they can only be contacted by email and all of this could have been easily avoided if they had been more reactive.

They advertised a 'full pdf download of…

They advertised a 'full pdf download of BOOK TITLE (book review)'. I thought I was getting the BOOK. Only after paying and receiving a 1 page! pdf did i go back and read the description correctly.
I immediately sent an email to customer service.
The very next morning Lorraine replied, apologizing, and I received a full refund on my credit card.
Not happy with my 'book', but am impressed with their customer service.

Lost around 90$ instead of 17$ and haven't got any book!

I've tried to buy a book from this web site but it didn't go well. The book cost was 17.99$. I'd tried to pay with two different credit cards and PayPal. All orders were unsuccessful - each time I saw an error message after clicking "submit" button. However, it became worse when I'd checked my email account - for each unsuccessful attempt I was charged for 17.99$. In sum, it's something around 89.95$. And I haven't got even one copy of the book!

Also, I contacted service support at customer-service but they are not replying (I'd sent the first letter 4 days ago, valid on February 7, 2019).

Update, February 24, 2019:
Finally, the money was returned. As service support said, it can take no more than 48 hours, but for me it was around a couple of weeks. As for satisfaction - I've also asked how to get the book I tried to buy (without getting the same error), but they ignored this question.
