Defender purchase

Had been looking for a Defender for weeks and found the perfect car at Imperials, traded in 2 cars for my new one and dealt with Jake, he took care of everything for me and made the deal very easy and hassle free, will definitely be back in a couple of years for another new car.

Requested info on a car

Requested info on a car, didn't hear anything for a week. Received a review requests which reminded me, so I called them and someone said I'll get a call back asap.

Received another review request before I hear anything about the car. Hard to sell cars if your customers can't even hear about them!

Good luck, I'll look elsewhere

PX offers are actually insulting.

I’ve enquired about two fairly high value cars with imperials over the last 12 months, but their PX offers have made it impossible to do a deal.

Buy from Jim with absolute confidence

From making first contact with Jim at Imperial he has been thoroughly professional and incredibly helpful. Jim went the extra mile (literally) to show and demonstrate the car we were interested in promptly. Consequently he gave us the confidence to make a decision quickly and saw to it our car arrived within days with all paperwork complete. I have no hesitation in making a five star recommendation.

Bought a Cayman …

I recently bought a Cayman from Mason at Imperials, following a trade in, and it was my first car buying experience in 12 years. Mason was very good. He was straightforward and honest about the deal he’d put together with the trade in (which was almost the exact same amount I’d previously been offered on Motorway - so the trade in was a much easier solution). He walked me through the steps on the day and was flexible when I had some date/time changes. All in all a very good car selling/buying experience and most important of all, the car he sold me was spot on. Great car and exactly as advertised. Thanks Mason!

I had an incredible experience with Jake

I had an incredible experience purchasing my new car from Jake at imperials. From the moment I walked into the dealership he was friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. He took the time to understand what I was looking for and helped me find the perfect car within my budget.

Jake made the entire process smooth and stress-free, answering all my questions with patience and honesty. He never pressured me into making a decision and genuinely wanted me to be happy with my purchase. His customer service was top-notch, and I truly appreciate his dedication to ensuring I had a great experience.

Bad attitude

Bad attitude, spent a fortune on a car, as soon as we drove it away, they (Jake) couldn't give a damn, we wanted to know a few things and asked for advise, he basically said find it out and sort yourself, so if you want shocking customer service, buy from these cowboy'In response to your reply ,we didnt buy a Land rover, or Range rover and to deny that your aftersale was not good is a poor response.
Regardless of your response, which you changed when I told you I didn't buy a Land rover, the bottom line is your sales rep acted in a negative way and its entirely up to you who works for you

The ‘Imperial’ Journey

After reading the initial reviews I was hesitant to engage however the vehicle I was looking at what was near darn perfect for the spec so I thought I would give them a try. oh boy, did that come up and bite me!

Week 1 - contacted dealer through the AutoTrader app twice. Zero response/reply. Subsequently emailed a couple of times, zero response again. So called left voice mail as no one picked up, zero response or reply.

Week 2 - called again, zero response or reply. Tried online chat bot - strangely enough received a human response by a girl/lady that happens to have the same name as one of the company house directors. Was promised a call back the following day = received nothing, zero, nowt.

Week 3 - I finally received an email response from Mason Wright, I responded to him with a few questions - zero response. So followed up cc’ing the director. Zero response/reply.

So decided to take my bag of money elsewhere.

I’m utterly gobsmacked that there seems to be zero accountability or responsibility taken by Imperials. They operate and badge themselves up as a ‘prestigious’ dealer with a focus on excellence etc etc where the reality is far from the truth.

If you’re expecting service, look elsewhere. If you’re looking communications, look elsewhere. Looking for a reputable business who actually knows how to deliver services? Again look elsewhere. It’s safe to assume the reviews in trust pilot or spot-on.

Beyond disappointed. If you’re looking to purchase a vehicle, look elsewhere.

Absolutely Delighted 😀

Just to say , I traveled over 400 miles to buy an Aston Martin , always doubtful, I was totally overwhelmed how clean this car was, so happy , sales team were fabulous, coffee and chat fabulous, absolutely delighted with my car , it’s a keeper ! Best car buying experience ever

Best car buying experience ever, from first contact with Jim to driving away in my new car it was an experience of honest old fashioned quality service that I thought had gone . The car was prepped to perfection the complete transaction effortless . I will not hesitate to use imperials and in particular Jim again .

Great dealership with a range of quality vehicles. Daniel & Mason were both friendly & helpful without any hard sell. A follow up call from Daniel a couple of days after collection to see if I was happy with car was also appreciated. Many thanks

Avoid Del boy and Rodney have more morals

Imperials Jim took a deposit on a car which he said was available as the previous buyer had offered a part exchange which was not acceptable so the vehicle was available once again . I paid a deposit to secure the car pleased it was now available . Imperials then informed me the previous customer has bought the car after I had paid to secure the purchase . Zero business ethics and more to the point they will take your deposit whilst negotiating with another buyer . Find another dealer who has some business morals is my advice

Do not buy a car from this place

Do not buy a car from this place, they couldn’t lie straight in bed, we had the miss fortune of buying a 38k car from them and the engine light came on within 10 miles, since then it’s been an absolute joke, then took our car away 3 weeks ago and offered us a 20 year junker as a courtesy to which I declined so they happily left us without a car, we still haven’t got ours back, I have had to involve the finance company and Brocken just to get any form of update, unbeknown to them the car had been fitted with a tracker, we have seen them using the car for lunch runs and being driven with disrespect and speeding through country roads in excess of 85 miles per hour, when we shared the fact the vehicle was being tracked it suddenly stopped being used. They promised to keep it in a secure compound another lie, they stated it would going to a main dealer, when in fact there untrained techs have messed around with the car, eventually taking it to an approved service centre not main dealer last Friday against the service centres wishes (as I have spoken to them today) and the car has been sat in an open public ally accessible car park for a week and still to date has not been looked at, buy a car from these guys at your peril or if you enjoy being lied to, I have told the finance company I want my m3 comp back as this is a joke, and if dealing with Daniel, hang up quick

UPDATE. 09/02/25
after receiving the car back 4 weeks after they took it they have stolen parts from the car, I cannot believe this place, the diesel tuning box has been stolen from the car and low and behold all the faults codes in the ecu are still present, the finance company are now sending and independent examiner to go over the car, the police are also involved ref the stolen parts, omg I have never ever known anything like this ever, I’m still in shock writing this, they have also scratched the paint, curbed an alloy and ripped the side of a tyre rendering the car an mot failure and subsequently not useable please please heed this warning, I will update after car inspected and police report compiled

Update 20/02/25
After weeks of back and forth and an independent inspection verifying the car is basically not fit for purchase and needs returning, the dealership are being shitty about giving a refund yet whilst I still have the car here they have re advertised it on their website for sale and surprise it’s 3k more than we paid, funny thing is that’s how much the attempted fraudulent warrenty claim was for, avoid the car it’s a lumma evoque PG21DRV it’s a lemon

We need to be very clear that the statements in your review are not accurate.

Independent inspections were carried out by both your finance company and by Land Rover. Both confirmed beyond doubt that there was no fault with the vehicle supplied. The fault was traced back to an aftermarket immobiliser that you had chosen to have installed. This was explained to you on several occasions.

Clear photographic evidence was also provided, showing that no damage had been caused by any third party and that the vehicle itself was sound.

Despite the findings being absolutely clear, Imperials still went above and beyond our obligations. We offered goodwill support, including providing loan vehicles and covering expenses, even though we were under no obligation to do so. This was done purely to assist you and to minimise inconvenience.

Throughout the process, the behaviour directed towards our staff was extremely unreasonable and, at times, unacceptable. Even so, our team continued to support you, remained professional, and did everything possible to help. Both your finance and Land Rover confirmed that Imperials held no responsibility for the issues you experienced.

We have been in business for over 35 years and built our reputation on trust, transparency, and thousands of satisfied customers. We cannot allow inaccurate or misleading claims to go unchallenged, as they do not reflect the facts of the case or the way Imperials operate.
