Friendly helpful sales staff
Bought sound insulation from this company. They were able to source what I needed when others couldn't. Was also great to talk to Laura who offered advice on pipe sound insulation and directed me to a product i didn't know existed.

We are frankly disappointed about the…
We are frankly disappointed about the sound insulation work that the IKoustic installers Jon Wright of silenttreatmentsoundproofing.co.uk. On appointing him for the job, he gave assurances that air borne noise would be vastly reduced with the appropriate materials and the system fitted correctly. Unfortunately, the results were anything but, and they themselves did acknowledge the inferior outcome on the second room. Despite the clear chasm between promise and reality, they have shown little willingness to fix the problem at their expense or otherwise accept their failure to deliver and provide fair compensation. Adding insult to injury, they refuse to provide certification of the materials used which, being important info for fire and safety reasons, it is also the customer’s right to know, especially after having paid a sum that was not cheap by any standards. This comes to confirm out suspicion that, instead of the high-quality specifications promised, they must have used inferior materials. That would not be too surprising judging by the poor and hasty finish that has left clear marks of stripes on the ceiling on the second room. In sum, I would recommend that you stay away from them if you expect a professional and responsible trader.
Please be careful with the supplier of insulation systems Rick Parsons of IKoustic who strongly recommended him to us in the first instance. They have just dismissed our complaint and taken their side all along. He mentioned how pleasant it was working with Jon and the good reviews he received from other customers. I asked where the reviews were posted as I couldn’t find any information on the website. He replied to us that they were on Trustpilot IKoustic pointing out at one back on July 2021. Unfortunately, I was unable to find this good review.
Rick also dismissed our complaint and had taken their side all along. He suggested installing acoustic insulation on the walls claiming that the problem was with the ‘flanking’ noise instead without having visited the site and assessing the ceiling. This appears to be in contradiction with the response and advice he himself gave to the review posted by Hanna Clayton on this website on 10 March 2014.
I have not bought any product or service directly from IKoustic but I believe I purchased the product indirectly from Jon Wright from Silent Treatment. However, I can’t comment on this because he is not willing to provide any information about the materials he installed in both rooms.
An independent acoustic audit could not possibly check the quality of the materials and whether they are properly fitted (that is, without opening holes on the ceiling).
I confirm this review is accurate.

Of course you are welcome to express a view, but that view needs to be accurate and applicable to the business you are reviewing. That is not the case with your review here.
I must state upfront that you have not bought any product or service from iKoustic. You have purchased a service from another supplier Silent Treatment and therefore there are limits on how I can respond to your words.
The supplier referred to is held in high regard by iKoustic, and we have had the pleasure of working with them for 8 years. In fact there numerous other independent customer reviews that share the same view.
You asked a member of iKoustic if they could recommend an installer in your area. We recommended Jon Wright of Silent Treatment. Whilst I cannot comment or reply on their behalf, I can state that you personally have had previous work done by this business and were very happy with the outcome at this time. That is why you rebooked them for another room / phase / job. SO you were happy enough to re-employ Jon.
iKoustic have listened patiently and carefully to your thoughts and opinions for almost 2 hours of phone calls and have made a number of practical suggestions. You and I have spoken personally about your project and it was not as descibed above. I have suggested a number of technical explanations why sound in one room may behave differently than in another room. I suggested that you should get an independent acoustic audit can be carried out to establish the facts rather than opinion. You declined to consider this.
Please reconsider your review and if it is fair or reasonable to iKoustic given the facts?

Prompt delivery, good product & service
Prompt delivery, good product & service. Excellent advice provided. I purchased the 'MuteMat USP 625-17 ' to put under the pump for the bathroom shower and taps so that the pump noise would be reduced. It has reduced the noise and product seems good.

Very difficult to give a positive review. The item we ordered was excellent couldn't fault it but had several calls over a couple of days, trying to sell me "better stuff" which I feel delayed the delivery. Ordered on Tuesday for a confirmed Friday delivery arrived the following Tuesday. Communication was good they did at least ring us to say the item wouldn't come in time but doesn't help when they ring at 12.30pm and you've already wasted a morning waiting for the delivery with no time to organise the afternoon.

Waste of money!
My ceilings in my front room and kitchen were supposedly sound proofed by Jon wright and not only didn't anything get resolved but having just had my ceilings painted have found out the plastering was rubbish! So still suffering noise the same as before I'm now having to sell my flat which was what I was hoping to avoid. Waste of my time and money!
