HydroKidz Swim School Omdömen 

My daughter loves her swimming lessons and James is a fantastic teacher. He's really engaging and fun.
The reason for 4 stars is there has been issues with communication and admin from the office and the pool had problems with being incredibly cold at Mary hare.

Our child has been in the program for about 2 years now. Colin, the Lead Teacher, is great, and is constantly seeking to adapt the level & lesson the kids are in to ensure they progress. Small lessons, warm pool, really well done.

We brought our 3 year old who was nervous in the water to Hydrokidz after lessons elsewhere didn’t seem to be working. The small group sizes (usually less than 4 per teacher) and the attentive teachers have made a huge difference and he’s now doing great.
I don’t love the fee structure of monthly DD that comes out even over summer holidays when there are no lessons, but overall we have been impressed with the service and the effectiveness of the teaching.

Both of my daughters have learned to swim with Hydrokidz over the past four years, both from different starting points.
Both experiences have been brilliant with knowledgable and understanding teachers, even for my reluctant swimmer who is now happily confident in the water.
Class sizes are small which allows for plenty of one to one tuition where needed and lessons are a perfect mix of technique and fun.
Well worth every penny and 25 minute drive.

My children are really enjoying their lessons, the current teachers at Newbury are very attentive, knowledgeable and make it fun for the kids.
The class sizes are small which means they all get a lot of 1 on 1 time which is great!

Since Bonnie has been coming to this Swimming Sesson @ Maryhare she has really come on. This is out 4th different Swimming group and it’s been the best one so far and she been at this one for the longest which speaks volumes 👌👌🙏🙏👏👏👍👍

The small class size & focussed tuition is excellent at Mary Hare School Hydrokidz. Omar is a warm, enthusiastic teacher who my son has really taken to. We have noticed a marked improvement in his confidence as a result and he now actively enjoys swimming rather than being a bit cautious before

The team at hydrokidz have been brilliant with since the start, Really welcoming and very helpful.

The groups are kept small so there’s a really safe and friendly feel to the lessons and my eldest who’s just started can’t wait for his lesson every week.

Would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking to get their small people confident in the water.

Been coming here a number of years with our two children. The current team are mustard and are helping our children develop confidence in swimming!

Really recommend Hydrokidz. Small classes with lots of attention. My son was very fearful of the water and by the second lesson it had completely changed.

Hydrokids was great for the lower ducking stages. Classes at Reddam House are small and some of the teachers are good. Sadly this all changed once reached stage 1. Very little progress made over 6 weeks despite being very capable. Safety in the water was also raised as a concern.
Lessons are very expensive and they don't appear to actually teach children to swim but pass the levels.

The quality of the actual teachers in the water is brilliant. Really child focussed and able to handle most situations. The children love their time here and are always excited to attend their lessons.
The only negative has been the organisation aspect as there hasn’t been the most consistent lead and that meant bit of disruptions at the start organising lanes and badges.

My children have really gained confidence since being at hydrokidz. When they first started they were very nervous but have improved, only feedback would be that they need to be with the same teacher and not keep changing teacher/group regularly.

My son has enjoyed his lessons with HydroKidz. The teachers are engaging with small group sizes, however there has been a lot of teacher turnover. The admin side of things is sometimes mediocre.

Such a wonderful teachers, my three children love to come to their swimming lessons and I can see a progress from lesson to lessons.

Brilliant teachers. All have great rapport with the children. Attention to detail, patient and kind. Incorporate fun into the lessons.

My girl has been doing it for 3 years now, she loves it. I have to say there was a lot of turnover in the coaches. But now it has stabilised and my girl is so happy with her regular coach.

I put my 3 children into hydrokidz at St John Beaumont. 1 child (14) diagnosed with autism and adhd, 1 child (8) waiting on adhd assessment and another child (3) waiting on autism assessment and struggles with new settings and people. I started them in September paying £130 a month for the 3 of them. However my 3 year old is very much left on the side of the pool with absolutely zero attempt from the teachers to get him in or even as little as introducing themselves to any of my children - still to this day I do not know instructors names. I had to sit on the side on the floor getting wet just so my child had someone there as the teacher continued with the lesson. (There is no introduction or explanation of what the lesson will entail, they literally just expect your kids to get in and crack on-not always possible with sen children. While my youngest was sat on the edge (as he’s never actually got in because he does not feel comfortable and the instructor again made zero effort) the instructor put them thin float type armbands on him and he fell in and they came straight off. Lucky I was on the edge of the pool so was able to act straight away. Fast forward to 3/4 months later and my 3 year old has done absolutely nothing in the 3 months but sit on the side. I asked for a refund as he has not used their services nor has anyone even bothered to take time out to help him. I was told no. Point blank no, even though he has not used their services! I then mentioned about my son falling into the water and was called a liar because the instructors never noted it and they always will. Well obviously not. Everyone saw it happen including instructors and other parents. Since that day my son would not even get changed without me putting his inflatable armbands on him because falling in traumatised him. Again he sat on the side. After he fell in he would not even put his legs in from the side. The unprofessional behaviour from this company is bad. I’ve removed all children straight away. I refuse to pay a swimming school that doesn’t even introduce themselves to the children, doesn’t write down when children fall into the water (I was told by mark the apparent manager) that they have to write everything down from the lesson. They hadn’t even wrote down that my youngest never participated in any lessons. I will never recommend this swimming school. They are all for taking your money but soon as u need them to do their job they fail miserably. I’ve paid 3 months for my son to do nothing. Not even get in the water. Money grabbing company who gives zero cares for your children. I only wanted to remove my youngest as id had no problems with my 2 other children apart from different instructors and a different part of the pool every week (which I can see is a regular occurrence after reading the reviews) After reading the rest of the reviews about this company I can see I’m not the only one who thinks this company is a shambles and I have removed all 3 of my children. If you are thinking of putting your child into somewhere for swimming. I DO NOT RECOMMEND HYDROSWIM ST JOHN BEAUMONTS IN OLD WINDSOR. Mark (apparent manager) will ignore you for days, make up that he’s got ur wrong number-even tho he rang the other day about wrong names on the system) and then hang up on you when you question him calling you a liar. Save your money and read the reviews, I wish I did.
