Ordered a harness for my dog direct from their website but it is not obvious at all that their website or products are not UK based & that the item is coming from Finland. I had to return the item & was charged £8!!!
I like to buy direct from companies, rather than through a thrid party but If I had known this was not a UK based item & the harness was coming from overseas, I would not have ordered it.
Hurtta make lovely quality items, but PLEASE, make it obvious that if you order direct from your own website; 1. the items are not UK based (delivery took AGES!)
2. the extortionate cost to return it!!!
Not happy at all to be honest. :-(

I have 3 Shitzu and replaced their Julius-k9 harness with these. The K9 made one of them cough, so wanted something that supported them better.

These do support them better and have stopped the cough, they also support them better underneath.

Reason for the 4 stars and not 5, is that they clip together round the body. This means you have to put them over the dogs head. Most dogs hate things going over their head and 2 of my 3 can’t stand it. There is no reason they couldn’t put 1 clip at the front and 1 at the back, eliminating this problem. I know this might seem petty, but they are not cheap and 2 of my dogs now run and hide because they don’t want it going over their heads.

We ordered three Hurtta coats for our Shiba Inu as Christmas gifts on 22 December. Karen from HurttaOnline was kind enough to arrange Royal Mail express delivery, and we received the order the very next day. The service was excellent!

Upon trying the coats, we realized they were a bit bigger than expected, so we requested an exchange. This happened during the Christmas holidays, but Karen's response was both prompt and positive. We greatly appreciated her quick action and responsiveness.

Recently ordered a lightweight rain jacket for my Frenchie - Size 30M. The jacket was a little tight around the chest. Coat leaked, awful customer service!

My order arrived quickly, but unfortunately I had ordered the wrong size. This was very quickly remedied by customer service and I now have the correct one. I would definitely use this store again and recommend. The Hurtta weekend warrior harness is great.

Bought a coat in May, didn’t really wear it until end of August, beginning of September, in November wasn’t keeping the dog dry. Contacted them about this was told it needed reproofing already - not fit for purpose. Eventually a refund was agreed, sent it back, reply from them told me it was dirty and smelly, how insulting, this item was less than 7 months old and had been well looked after as per the instructions!

Firstly, I ordered the wrong size and so prior to dispatch, I was contacted just to double-check the sizing… I’d ordered a coat that would probably have been a bit large for an Elephant!

After re-measuring my dog I was told he was a bit of an ‘in-between’ size and was advised to order a coat slightly larger than his measurements suggest.

The coat arrived and with a bit of trepidation I put it on him. It couldn’t have fit him any better - spot on - perfect and absolutely suits him to a tee.

The coat is very adjustable and is soft and lightweight and oozes good quality. I think our boy - a large adult male Dobermann, is going to need it if the English weather matches the met office predictions.

The coat is great. Glad the measurements worked out. Thanks for the tips on getting the size right. Only 4* cos Royal Mail sent it on an unnecessary trip so there was a delay before I got it
