I'm really grateful to be working with Debbie. She has been very helpful in working with my two lively herding dog puppies. We had worked with a couple of other trainers previously - our work with Debbie has been the most helpful and productive - by far. Her deep knowledge of dog behavior and psychology and unlimited patience really make her a dog training rock star. She helps provide structure to our daily training sessions and my dogs really love her games. I look forward to our next classes.

Koda and I have been working with Debbie at The Well Mannered Dog for about 5 years. I began classes not quite knowing what to expect, but knew that having a big dog would require both of us to learn some good behaviors. Shortly after classes began, it became clear that Koda had some reactivity to other dogs. This scared me, but Debbie assured me that we could change his emotions. She was right! Koda went from barking and lunging at dogs in class to working within 15 feet of his classmates. Through all the disengagement and calmness training, Koda leaned to settle at home - no more evening zoomies - and in public. Koda has learned some fun “tricks” but the disengagement and calmness have been the biggest success. Over the years, I have struggled with the confidence and belief in myself that I can do this, that I can help Koda be a good boy. Debbie always listens and offers incredible support. She builds me up. This training journey, at times, feels like it’s more about teaching me than it is about training my dog. I cannot say enough good things about Debbie. Her training style, her love for dogs, and the way she shows up for the human part of the team have all played a role in our training success. 5 years later and we’re still attending classes and loving it.
