Hugh Rice the Jewellers was established in 1971 by Hugh. His brother Mike joined him three years later as an apprentice jeweller, and the store remains to this day a family-owned and run business. We at Hugh Rice are immensely proud of our heritage, from humble beginnings as a basement workshop to a chain of thriving high street jewellery stores stocking the most recognisable and loved brands from across the world. We are specialists in diamond jewellery and luxury watches, and always deliver an outstanding level of customer care. Our on-site Service and Design Centre continues to provide bespoke in-house jewellery designs, watch servicing and jewellery repair.

Repairing sentimental jewellery
Having taken my ring to Hugh Rice for a clean, it was bought to my attention that the setting had worn and I was at risk of losing the stones. (I was told I could wear it for my wedding day and then that was it!!)
I’ve just got my beautiful ring back today and they have done a fantastic job. The central stone had always been a little offset and that has been corrected without altering the overall proportions. The emerald has been polished and the diamonds are so sparkly.
I had the ring made to celebrate the birth of my second child so it’s very sentimental.
If you have items of jewellery that are sentimental and you need a trustworthy repair, don’t hesitate to take it to Mike and his team.
I have been a customer since 2000 and have not found another jeweller either locally or further afield who can match them in terms of quality, value for money and customer care. Thank you Hugh Rice.

I recently collected my Rolex, and I couldn't be happier with the entire experience. From start to finish, Max was absolutely brilliant. He was professional, friendly, and incredibly helpful throughout the whole process.
Despite the long lead times typically associated with sourcing a Rolex, he managed to secure mine in just 11 months.
Max kept me updated at every stage, was always transparent, and made the final collection feel really special. I’d highly recommend him.
