I wanted to order 4 shirts for relatives
AlI the same colour and size
I smelled a rat when they said it will require 4 separate packages. This is terrible for the environment.

The goods must be ready packed in China just awaiting a label to be stuck on each one

Whilst the delivery tracking information was good, the product was of extremely poor quality.
I was duped into believing this was a UK based company but now see that it is Chinese.
Will not use again.

Scam scam scam - shame on me!!! My 1 purchase went in the bin.

What a joke. I was going to purchase a coat with this company, but thought better check the reviews first. Glad I did….if you ever see advertising on Facebook or instagram they are usually a scam and it’s getting worse.

This company also advertise under many other names such as Lily and Jude. Same company behind the scenes based outside of the uk and ship from china. Terrible products and customer service. Don’t offer refunds as they say it’s unlikely the goods will make it back to them.

I wish I could put zero stars and that I had read these reviews before ordering. It took 2 weeks for my blouse to arrive and the quality is shocking. 95% polyester and doesn't even match the photo on 'Hughes of Manchester' website. They are not based in the UK and just ship cheap rubbish. I have spent 3 days trying to return it, eventually accepting 30% discount as would cost as much as I paid just to return it. I paid £29.95 thinking it would be decent quality, when actually the same item would cost less than £10 if you just buy from Shein. Absolute rip off!!

Do not Buy from this website . I wish I had read all the below reviews. I quite agree with every single one of them that this company is rubbish. They portray themselves as a local company however all the goods are made abroad in Asia all returns are required to be sent to Asia with the cost of £25 or more for postage. The item when it eventually arrives is poor quality not true to size. Do not buy from this company you will be very disappointed. The item I bought will go in the bin.

Absolutely been ripped off- faking a British company and using AI with false statements and photos.
Now I have two pairs of plastic mules which are awful quality.
This surely much better breaking some sort of trading standards for UK??
If only I had not rushed and brought these!! Lesson learnt!

I want to give this a zero….. after 4 emails back and forth where they have offered me 10% then 20 then 30% off all items if I keep them. They have now told me I have to send everything back to China at my own cost of around £25…. This is a massive scam as the label on the delivery package was in the UK…do not be scammed to buy from them

Horrendous, ordered a beautiful looking dress after seeing advertised on Facebook, ordered, advertised as based in mcr, thought I’d do a quick check on reviews ( stupidly after I’d ordered ) and saw all negative, tried to cancel the order literally less than 10 minutes later and was told it was too late. This company is based in China yet advertised as if in the UK, took over a week to arrive and it looks nothing like the photos online. Currently arguing with them as they want £25 to return it to China, or are offering me an replacement they will ship out, but won’t give me a refund…basically they are complete rip offs…avoid at all costs and save your money. I’ll be on to my bank tomorrow along with the huge trail of email I’ve sent them to get my refund this way. Absolute comedians

Ordered sandals the quality is nothing like the photo. I read reviews but the wrong Hughes. I wish I could add photos. Returns £25 postage don’t to me. Should have done more research!

Chinese reseller scam site using ai images of a shop front. Goods are resold from Ali express. Fake sales showing reduced items.

Example. The Maurice shirt. Reduced from £60 to £29.99 is £5 on Ali express.

Their Facebook ads are very convincing but look at the detail. Comments are missing….

Wish I’d read reviews before ordering
I did email the company after placing order as felt something wasn’t right, turns out not based in UK but Asia I asked about returns but they avoided my question. When the dress arrived was nothing like the photo poor quality and didn’t fit . I emailed customer support who did respond was offered 20% refund and to keep , or I’d have to send back to Asia at a cost to me .

ordered a dress… it is dreadful… cheap material, poor quality and guess what turns out its from China!!! It was reduced?? to 39.99 … biggest rip off … it says returns within 14days but then i. small print says £25 postage to send it back to China when the company is called Hughes Manchester!!! feel really ripped off and angry

This is a company who gives the impression that they trade from Manchester in the UK. It is indeed in China, the dress I ordered was like a rag, it did not match the colour or design shown on the advertisment. I wish I had read the trust pilot reviews before I gave away good money.

If only I read reviews before!!! Dress was shoddy, horrible material, very poor quality finish. I send emails asking for refund.
They offered a refund of 10%, then after 4 emails, went to 30%, but still no info how I return. Finally gave me an answer to say approx €25 but me to check with local courier. I had previously asked why can I not return to Manchester as the company is called Hughes Manchester. No answer to this. They also did not give an address to send. £40 wasted. I had a bad feeling about ordering. I should have listened to myself!!!

I received my order and can only agree with other customers regards “ poor quality “. The dress is terrible , cheap material and I definitely wouldn’t wear it near a fire ! The shirts are “shoddy” , no labels . Feel ashamed to say feel totally “scammed” . I too checked the website and received a polite email to say “thank you” for supporting a small company . Total fabrication , this clothing is not fit for purpose ! AVOID THIS FAKE COMPANY…… will stick to buying from Next !!!!!
