True to the name — absolutely unique and top-tier quality!

I ordered two custom pickguards from Hudson: one for my Fender Jazzmaster Vintera and another for a Squier Jazzmaster Baritone. Both pieces are of the absolute highest quality and they completely perfected the look of my guitars.

Hudson’s approach to customer service is next-level. He is incredibly attentive to every specific request, works fast, and delivers top-notch craftsmanship while keeping you updated throughout the entire process. To top it all off, the pickguards arrived in such beautiful, thoughtful packaging that it felt like opening a genuine gift.

Working with Hudson could not have been better. He was able to translate my amateur specification diagram and produce a scratch plate that matched my requirements with no hassles. The brass is top quality and not some flimsy crap; it's sturdy 1.5mm stuff. Communication throughout was great. I knew what was going on at all times.

I asked after I placed my order if we could match some brass plates I already had. I got a quick response saying that they would do their best to match the coloration. They did exactly that!!! It matched so well.

I had a full set of Jaguar plates made in bronzed brass for the main scratchplate and mottled aluminium for the three control plates, also with custom pickup routes. Hudson was very helpful through the process of going through the options and in making sure that everything would fit. The wait time after confirming my choices was very reasonable. Suffice it to say, I'm extremely happy with my plates and would recommend Hudson to anyone else.

I just stumbled on these awesome guitar accessories online (or was fed it through an algorithm, who says it’s all bad) and was was immediately impressed by The photos and started wondering about the actual quality. I reached out to Hudson and was delighted at his response in the enthusiasm he had for his product. Now he’s in the UK and I’m in the US so we had a lot of back-and-forth about colours and sizing and aesthetic things. He sent me some templates via PDF and we must’ve exchanged 30 text messages. He’s as much of a guitar nerd as I am though and he had no problem handling it all. Suffice to say, I’ve never seen anything quite like this. The quality is outrageously good the look is amazing and he really went the extra distance trying to age the brass to my specifications.
It fit my 2001 Stratocaster better than the original pickguard and the contrasting look is such an eye catcher.
If there are any cons about this, I will say it did cost, but it when I just look at the final result, it doesn’t even bother me. Obviously I’m replacing plastic with brass so there is some added weight but it’s not really a consideration for me either. While it is somewhat more heavy, it also feels more solid and I feel like there’s more sustain from the top because of the brass. All in all, I feel like it’s 100% gain. I would definitely buy this product again and love to work with Hudson on more projects.

Hudson is a true craftsman and has the patience of a saint. I needed some custom made parts for my guitar- build (pickguard etc.) and we worked togheter for weeks on the design until it was perfect. He sent me paper templates to print/cut out to verify exact fit. Very happy with the end result and with the services provided by Hudson. Highly recommended!
