Had a very nice afternoon choosing a rise/recliner at the Blaydon store today with Amanda. Very professional and knowledgeable but friendly and relaxed. A wholly enjoyable experience.

Excellent service from Amanda and her team at Blaydon.
Met with a warm welcome, all of the staff have great knowledge of their quality products and no pushy sale techniques.

Delivery by Craig and Jed was excellent too.
We were kept informed of delivery times on the day. Even received a call 30minutes before they arrived.
They treat our property with respect and even moved some furniture for us to make room for our beautiful Himolla Sinatra chair.

We visited the Blaydon Store today and had the most wonderful service. Emma our store advisor was just so lovely and helpful. Very knowledgable. She helped my mother in law choose a beautiful armchair and footstool. We had cup of tea and biscuits too!! Absolutely fab!!

I visited the Newcastle store after trying out other brand Furniture stores. The difference was amazing, from being greeted at the door by “Amanda” to my eventual purchase.
Amanda was very friendly, helpful and most knowledgeable, first, taking time to ascertain my needs (primarily Back and Neck support) and then explaining and demonstrating th various opinions available. She then suggested my wife and I look around the store at the various models available whilst she organised some coffee and biscuits for us.
I eventually chose the “Aysgarth Grande” with the neck and lumbar support wit heat pad.
Overall, a very enlightening experience with absolutely no sales push.

I attended HSL store Newcastle today and I was very happy with my visit. I was greeted by a very happy and friendly face in Amanda. Nothing was too much trouble. I was shown around and asked questions to ensure the right chair was chosen. There was no pressure and I felt really well informed by Amanda. I made a purchase today and I can't wait for the delivery of my chair.

The greeting i received on arrival by Amanda was the start of an excellent and relaxing visit to the store. I found the knowledge and the help I needed with the chairs was very,very good, a great selection of chairs and colour samples, all aided in my purchase of chair

Alex and Jed gave us a call 25 minutes before arrival. Very nice people. They put together and placed our sofa and chair where required and talked us through the working of the riser recliner. Very efficient and helpful. Good quality product. Thank you.

Excellent service, from the staff at Newcastle, during the purchase, to the delivery men, Alex and Jed. I was kept updated with progress, all of the way through, with a phone call half an hour before delivery. All staff were very professional and informative, just how buying things should be.

Good service in the Newcastle store led to us placing orders for 2 armchairs. Arrived today, very happy with general quality. Very pleasant delivery staff (Carl and Damion). Got a small issue with the height that the new cushion and longer legs raise the seat too, but hoping that can be resolved with a fall to customer care tomorrow.

Newcastle upon Tyne branch

My husband and I decided we would like to buy two new comfortable chairs for our small sitting room. Having heard of HSL and receiving a advertising leaflet, from where I am not sure, we decided to call at their Newcastle branch. We went on 5th November and were given a very nice welcome and Suzanne who listened to what we were looking for and gave us much information about different chairs. She wasn’t in a hurry for us to decide and helped us to make a final decision. We placed a provisional order for two Helmsley chairs, covering to be decided. We then visited the showroom on Saturday 22nd November and were greeted by Tim who was of great help when discussing fabrics. He allowed us to borrow two swatches to try at home. We called back the next day having decided on the fabric and placed an order for our desired two chairs which we look forward to receiving in January.
We were very impressed with the reception and knowledge of your staff and the help and friendliness of both Suzanne and Tim.

My husband and I visited your Newcastle on Tyne store on the 14th November. We were attended to by Amanda and must say that we were impressed from the word go by her knowledge of the business and manner of service - absolutely beyond reproach. And we had a good cup of tea too!! Needless to say, with Amanda's advice, we were able to select a recliner, sofa and Helmsley chair which were right for.

Ian and Paul did a great job getting my new recliner chair in and set up for me in situ.

We bought 2 grande recliner chair , cost £5000. First chair broke down after 8 weeks. Repair appointment 2 weeks.
Now 20 weeks on same chair has broken down. This chair is also showing significant distortion on seat , possibly twisted base.
Now he other chair has developed a fault with remote control.
I'm wating for knee replacement, this is going to cause me real difficulty.

I previously had a riase recliner, that lasted 15 years without any issues .
HSL chairs now used for approximately 20 weeks and 3 faults.
Very dissatisfied with quality.

From arriving at the Newcastle showroom the sales team, Suzanne and Alison, were very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and not at all pushy.
Ordering, payment and arranging delivery all very easy and efficient.
Delivery team, Paul and Kartick, phoned just before arrival and again were friendly, extremely courteous and efficient.

Wonderful explanation about how to use the chair, both in store and from the delivery drivers. Just Junk removed the old chair, which we were grateful for. I had excellent service helping me to choose my new Himolla rise and recline chair in August. I've been in hospital and HSL managed to get me a speedier delivery today.
