The staff , Jenny and Sue we're excellent in every way. Very thorough in making sure we had the correct size chairs. They were also very friendly and gave us confidence to proceed

The staff in the Formby store were very helpful as were the two delivery men Lee and Carl. We would certainly use HSL again.

This was our second purchase. This time we bought a 3 seater settee. The shop staff were very knowledgeable and kind. The delivery men, Alex & Shane were very pleasant, efficient and quick. The only downside is that we had to wait 10 weeks for delivery, but the chairs are made with your choice of material.

An excellent experience. I went looking for a recliner armchair that would properly support my back after being diagnosed with Lumbar radiculopathy. We were assisted by Louisa who was very helpful, explaining all the options available and I was able to try different sized armchairs, discovering I need a ‘Petite’ chair to properly support my back. Both Louisa and her colleague were very helpful & friendly.

A slight hiccup on delivery but it turned out OK in the end. I could not fault the shop staff or the delivery men.

Lee & Graham who delivered and assembled the sofa and chair arrived when expected and made an excellent job of assembling it. They were polite and knowledgeable.

The two comfort specialists in the Formby store were both truly excellent. They were knowledgeable about all the products in store and very capable at advising 'which size chair was best for me' I felt a little like Goldilocks trying chairs they said would be too big & so not as comfortable, and they were right. They were very patient & explained fully how the recliner worked, the fabrics that were available, how the cushions should be plumted up regularly to maintain shape, the guarentee that came with the chair & various other things we may require. They made the whole purchase a pleasurable experience, a service that we thought was long since dead. Keep up the good work Ladies.

As before, my wife and I found the staff exceptionally friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and buying our riser-recliner chair was made an easy and enjoyable task.

The delivery of our new sofa and chairs was punctual and very efficiently carried out. Paul and Jon were great, even sticking little pads on the bottoms of the chairs so they didn’t scratch the laminate floor. They made sure the furniture was in the correct place and ensured that the reclining mechanisms were working perfectly. Staff at the store and the delivery team were extremely helpful, friendly and couldn’t done enough for us.

My husband and I visited the Formby store yesterday and were greeted by two lovely ladies, Sue & Jenny. They were friendly and supportive and demonstrated a sound knowledge of their products and assisted us in finding the right chair for my needs. At no time did we feel pressured into making a purchase . We came away confident that our choice would prove to be the right one for us. We're looking forward to taking receipt of the chair that we ordered.

I visited the store in Formby, Merseyside. I was greeted by a lovely lady, Louisa. Nothing was too much trouble. I had looked through the catalogue at home so I had selected 3 or 4 styles to look at.
Louisa guided me through the ones I had thought of . During the afternoon I was offered a drink and some lovely biscuits. A nice touch.
Louisa pointed out that the chair must be the correct size, we decided the best one for me.
I must have had the undivided attention of Louisa for over an hour and a half. Nothing was too much trouble for her and I was not rushed at all. I was allowed time to consider alternatives.
The quality of the furniture is excellent and the choice is wonderful. Needless to say I did place an order, I look forward to it being delivered.

WE called into the Formby showroom on sunday 08/02/2026 to have a look around we were met by Sue.Who was very helpfull in showing us the furniture and explained what we needed to fit us after trying different chairs and sofas we decided on the Burrows Relax sofa and Grande chair.But to make sure the colour fabric was right for the room it was going in Sue was having a swatch sent out to us but after seeing the colour in the room it did not look right. So as we were going back on the Friday to complete the order we not only changed the colour we also changed the sofa and chair to the Burrows Classic we also added a few extra items. Sue was brilliant again nothing was to much trouble for her.Well done Sue and HSL we had a few laughs and a nice cup of tea coffee and biscuits. THANK YOU *****

Helpful staff, knowledgeable and friendly. We were not rushed and were given as much time as we needed to make our choice. We were able to test the mattresses and take our time. This was important as we were making a substantial purchase.

We called into the Formby store just to browse, the two members of staff (Karen & Sue) were friendly and very helpful. Karen showed us the different styles of chairs and pointed out the merits of each one.
There was no pressure to buy but I did !!
I am looking forward to having my new chair.

From the showroom in Formby, to delivery today from
Paul & Jon everything has been spot on.
The guys today were very professional ,rang 25 minutes prior to delivery ,shown the room where my furniture was to be set up , All put together , then a demonstration of all my controls and extra bits I’d bought ie arm pads and independent battery .
All cardboard removed and information packs left with me ,pointing out telephone numbers if any help needed ,all politely done . Great service, Lads thank you.

My Mum and I visited the HSL showroom in Formby on 16 January. Mum is 97 years old and wanted a riser/recliner that would be comfortable and easy to use. From the moment we arrived, Jenny and Sue did everything they could to help us make our decision in a relaxed and welcoming environment. They were extremely knowledgeable about the products and there was a wide variety of different models on display. We were very happy with both the experience and the Himolla Sinatra chair that we chose.

Greeted and given time to look around and try some of the chairs ourselves before Louisa came and offered help.
I needed a higher chair than I have at home due to dodgy knees. Louisa ensured that the chairs I finally chose was suitable for me. We were given refreshments and the prices were fully explained. At no time did we feel rushed or pushed into something we didn't need/ want.
Look forward to receiving our furniture.

Karen went out of her way to find chairs that matched the fabric of a previously bought couch in another store as the fabric was no longer available for new chairs. Fabulous attentive customer care.
