I would give a zero if I could. A friend of mine who was selling her car on Auto Trader got a message from a woman, claiming she wants to purchase the car, and to do a check using this website and was adamant she will not be comfortable with another check as it’s her “trusted website” the website was dodgy, unfortunately my friend went ahead and put her details in and gave her her email to communicate with. BE AWARE! This is a SCAM.

I got a call from a very effeminate guy called Brentt. I was excited as I thought somone was genuinely interested in my car, sent me a link to a website to do a HPI check. The minute saw the website I knows it was a scam, website was really cheap looking. I told “Brentt” that I wasn’t comfortable paying for anything when I’m the one selling the car and hung up.

A guy (Brenntt) called me showing interest to buy my car and insisted to do a health check at my own and pay the fee at this website. Luckily, i read all the reviews here and saved myself from this scam.

Scammers, they find your car ad from Autotrader and ask to buy a report from this website so they can come buy the car later.

Most people will fall for this unfortunately so something needs to be done about this.

These are scam people they use PAYPRO to process your payment into Pakistan currency

THIS IS A SCAM WEBSITE, I also received a call from "Jane" to do an HPI check on my car, directed me to this site, made payment and received nothing.

Phishing / scam. Do NOT enter your bank details into this website.

Total scam… I got a lady calling herself Jane rather than the guy, Brent. As with others, the call came following my advertising my car in Autotrader. the call xame from a Liverpool dialling code and then she said she was in Exeter. Lots of pressure for me to hurry and use this site so she could buy the car first thing in the morning. When I used a reputable Hpi provider, I heard no more from this ‘enthusiastic buyer’

advertised my car on Auto Trader yesterday, get a call from BRENT this morning wanting to view the car, but gets very pushy about going on this website to get a HPI report. Something didn't feel right, so search the website first and read all the comments below which match my own experience.

A complete scam. Beware. Brent was insistent that I used hpifinder.com, despite having a motor trade contact who supplies me with full HPI reports (for £3.50 in comparison to their £19.99 for basic).

Scam!!!! Do not use.. Ring up pretending to be interested in car i am selling on Autotrader.

An indian girl called me 5 minutes ago saying she saw my advert and she wanna buy my car but she wants an hpi check , shes gonna give you a site called hpifinder.com where you need to pay to get it , when they are calling you can hear they are in a center for calls ! BEWARE!!!!

Beware Scam Alert!!!
As mentioned by many others here, this is a fake scam company. A guy called me in response to my AutoTrader advert and shown interest to buy the car but insisted me to buy a HPI check from this website specifically. I mentioned there is already an HPI report avaialble for the car from other well know company but he kept insisted, otherwise wont buy the car.
I ended the call by saying I don't want to buy the HPI, he can look for other cars.

Scam! Autotrader call from an Asian guy claiming he’s got cash for the car but needs to see a HPI check.I wasn’t sure but still paid £19.99 on HPIfinder as thought it was worth doing one.Realised it was a scam and blocked him. Report came through for a completely different car. Don’t use this site! Contact bank to block card and get a new one. Also told Autotrader.

SCAM beware. Had multiple calls within the space of a few hours from a man named ‘Kevin’ looking to buy my car after seeing an autotrader ad. Kevin kept asking for a HPI check and sending this specific link. He assured he would refund the cost once he bought the car but kept pressuring me to do it. I did some googling to be sure and stumbled across lots of negative reviews. I confronted Kevin when he called again (from a different number) and he became angry. I told him I’d seen multiple negative reviews explaining a man called Kevin had sent them the same link and he hung up on me. Beware

Had a reply to autotrader and. Guy called Noah insisted I use this account. Hung up when I offered to find alternative report.

Scammers they try to get you to pay on this dodgy site stay away I have reported it

Beware! Guy called Jay responded to my Autotrader advert insisting on HPI check using HPI Finder. It all seemed genuine and though it's normal for the buyer to do the check I thought it might help the sale until I got to the checkout in Pakistan Rupees. That's when I cancelled.

Great service, Fast, Clear and easy to use. Gave me a peace of mind before selling my car. Would definitely use HPI again.
