Unlike a lot of places this family run business have got everything you need to pick the right product you want and that it will be what it says on the tin when it arrives. The customer service and response times are good and apart from the fact you can't buy individual parts from a set if some of them break (having said that on one occasion they did to help), then I would urge you to try them out over the competition.

Ordered an overdoor towel rail through B&Q - pleased with quality and quick delivery. Would definitely consider purchasing from this company again.

The instructions for assembling barbecue were incorrect and the bolts included were not the correct length to complete the task. I asked for the correct bolts on customer services, they did eventually arrive the day before the barbecue.

Ordered a 6ft clothes rail from House of Home as was removing fitted wardrobes. I was surprised how many clothes the rail took. It was very sturdy and easy to put together. Very pleased with purchase especially as it was a reasonable price.

I have had an absolutely horrible experience with House of Homes, who sell products on the B&Q website. I ordered an extendable wardrobe pole system that was advertised as next-day delivery. It didn’t arrive until almost a week later, and when I contacted them, they completely ignored the issue and brushed it off.

When I finally moved into my new property and assembled the product, it was immediately clear that it was not fit for purpose.
• The vertical tension rods do not hold tension
• The clamps are flimsy and come loose
• The whole structure cannot even support a single coat
• It even caused damage to the top of my walk-in wardrobe

I dismantled it and packed it away, but when I requested a refund, the company tried to pressure and threaten me by saying they might reduce my refund due to “signs of usage.” What usage? I only assembled it once to discover the faults. This attitude is completely unacceptable.

I am a vulnerable customer with long-term health issues, and assembling it once was already difficult. Expecting me to rebuild it just for photos was unreasonable and showed a total lack of understanding or care.

House of Homes has been misleading, unhelpful, and dismissive from the start.
I feel completely misled, missold to, and taken advantage of.

Avoid this company at all costs. Their products are poor quality, and their customer service is even worse.

This product was exactly what I required for an outside storage box. Perfect size.
Think the assembly instructions could be a bit clearer.
Struggled a little to get both tabs in the slots at the same time, but with a little perseverance, I got there.
Would certainly recommend this product.

Fast delivery and great quality product

The item was delivered on time and well packaged. Simple easy to follow instructions made the self assembly easy.

While the coating of the shower caddy appears to be of good quality only time will tell how it performs. My only criticism is that there was a fault on the threading of one of the crosspieces meaning that the nut would not fully engage to totally tighten up. The shoer caddy is in place however and seems to be doing its job.

The clothes rail was very sturdy and easy to put up.

Bought a heavy duty shelving unit from the B&Q website, it's anything but heavy duty. Assembly was a nightmare as it's very difficult to get all the brackets in place correctly. I managed to assemble and it feels unsecure. The metal itself feels like malleable, cheap aluminum of some description. Shelves themselves are thin chipboard. Tried reviewing on B&Q website but they've unsurprisingly removed the review option.

Ease of ordering, kept informed of dispatch and delivery date, very happy with my purchase.

Delivery came promptly and the item was of good quality and easy to assemble. Sturdy and well made. I highly recommend my experience and the product supplied.

I bought a 2 x over door towel rails. Once I assembled one I realised that the door does not close, even though it shows a closed door on the item. I can’t have that when I have guests and the seller charges £5 for a return label and I can’t return the assembled one, even though it is not my fault the door does not close! You would not expect that. It is a waste of money!

I ordered an extra heavy duty clothes rail. I was impressed by the quality of this product
