Disappointed in customer service

This is my second time ordering, first time was great customer service and candles. Second order 3 candles, none of them burn evenly, contacted Mark, he was helpful at first, but I still had an issue, I replied to ask him once again that they had issues, he did not respond (I only waited 2 days for a response) so I replied again requesting a refund. He responded with annoyance saying he was travelling and that I got a good price for them! Which really wasn’t the response I was respecting. He refunded them. £48… which I am not sure anyone would be happy to pay for candles which are not burning evenly. I replied and thanked him for the response but woukd have preferred a resolution over a refund. He never replied! Very disappointing. I had told my friend to order from him, but have now told her to look elsewhere
I would not buy from him again.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review. I wanted to take some time to provide some context to the situation. You emailed me initially at 7.29pm on 16th April, to which I replied within 30 minutes. You provided photos of the burnt wick broken off to which I explained this was normal and as per the instructions included should be removed before lighting you candle. I didn't hear back from you and followed up the next day to ensure you were satisfied. You responded with an image of a candle lit with an even wax pool of at least 1cm but with one of the wicks extinguished. This led me to believe that your candle would be burning evenly but you said one of them 'went out'. I responded within 15 minutes and suggested that you should let the wax solidify and trim the wicks and relight. You then sent me photos of the other candles at 9.03am on 18th April, also alight and said they are burning unevenly. You were obviously not satisfied with your order. You then chased me 24 hours later at 10.10am to which I responded at 11am (less than 3 days from your initial contact) having processed a full refund for your order. I apologised and explained that I had not experienced this issue of candles suddenly going out after an hour of continuous burning and an even wax melt pool before. I did not receive your response to the refund otherwise I would have replied. There is no one called Mark that works for Homewick, it is just myself. Again, I appreciate you taking the time to write a review and hope the above provides some context to my responses. I wish you all the best. David

Got bought a gift set for Xmas

Got bought a gift set for Xmas, lit one candle and could smell literally nothing unless you put your nose right near it. Also the wooden wick won’t stay lit and goes out almost straight away rendering the candle absolutely useless. Really disappointed

*update; David did go go above and beyond replying promptly on Christmas Day and was swift to offer a refund or replacement as 2 out of the 3 candles wouldn’t stay lit.

Hopefully my previous 5 star reviews show this is not the level of quality other have experienced. I’m sorry you didn’t have a good experience with your gift. I responded to your message on Christmas Day and offered a full refund.

Loved the vast choice to customise

Loved the vast choice to customise my present: products, scents, colors, copy! The packaging is stunning and it made a really happy receiver. Will definitely repeat the purchase, and highly recommend as presents for your loved ones

My favourite

Homewick is my favourite place for wax melts/candles/diffusers. The scents are heavenly - especially Bahama breeze/orange orchard and mango salsa. They are made with love and great turn around times for delivery. Would highly recommend.
