We had been planning and budgeting for a kitchen renovation for quite some time. At first, we thought the easiest option would be to hire a contractor to come measure, design, and install everything for us. However, the quotes we received were simply too expensive for our budget.

Since we have some DIY skills, we started looking into RTA (ready-to-assemble) cabinets. We’re so glad we found HomeCabinets.com. Their team provided us with several design options and price quotes at no upfront cost, which made it very easy to explore our options.

Compared to local brick-and-mortar cabinet stores, their pricing was extremely attractive. Honestly, we were a little hesitant at first because we wondered whether the quality would match what we could get locally. But to our surprise, we have been very happy with the cabinet quality, and their pricing beat every local quote we received.

Our kitchen renovation is now nearly complete, and I couldn’t wait to leave this review for the HomeCabinets.com team. We would highly recommend this approach to anyone looking for a more affordable way to renovate their kitchen. It has truly been the most economical option and well worth every penny we spent.

We did receive a few cabinets with dents or scratches from the shipping process, but those issues were handled fairly well. In some cases, replacement parts were sent promptly, and in others, we received a discount and were able to do touch-up repairs ourselves.

I'm pretty disappointed with the quality of the cabinets - they were very poorly packaged, and arrived with multiple scratches across each face. Instructions were an absolute joke, and the online specs were just completely wrong for one of the items, which made it unusable for our application. Support was fairly responsive, but ultimately we're just not going to use the cabinets in our bathroom.

Even though our kitchen is compact, the new cabinets make it feel thoughtfully arranged instead of cramped. Vertical space is used smartly, and the clean fronts keep the room from feeling busy. The end result is a small kitchen that feels efficient, stylish, and very much on purpose.

We had the wrong frame shipped with one our cabinets. I have reached out to customer service 8 times ( it’s been a week now) to get the replacement sent and I just keep getting the run around. We are completely at a stand still with our project now and I still have no answer as to when the replacement parts will ship. The quality of the actual cabinets is fine, but there seems to be a big issue with communication between their customer service team and their warehouse. I probably wouldn’t order from them again just because of the customer service support.

UPDATE TO: Purchased 2 cabinets, crown molding, and scribe molding. One cabinet door came in damaged. First and second replacement doors were more damaged than the original. So, I just decided to put up the cabinets which was after the 30-day return policy. During install, I determined the crown and scribe moldings would not work so I requested a return. When I requested a return, I was told it was outside the 30-day return window. When I reminded them that I did not install the cabinets immediately because the order was not complete since the door was damaged, I was told they were sorry for my "unpleasant experience".
UPDATE AS OF Jan 12: Customer Service worked with me and agreed to accept the return of the moldings. Appreciate their help.

Took a full day to complete the kitchen, but the result matched my expectations. Tired at the end, but proud of how it turned out.

All boxes were numbered, which made it easy to know the assembly order. Without that, I probably would’ve wasted more time figuring things out.

A couple of panels had wood dust on them when I unpacked, but it wiped clean easily. Didn’t affect anything in the final build.
