There were 2 pieces that had a crack in them. Hoft Homes dealt with it promptly and courteously. I received replacement pieces within two weeks. I love my new dining set.

After posting my disappointment at the lack of ETA updates, I received a call from HOFT, who listened to my concern and they immediately went to work and investigated. I received a follow up call where the issue was identified and fully explained. I was then informed that one of the boxes containing the chairs I ordered went missing and did not arrive at the delivery courier's warehouse, so the delivery logistics courier had to hold off on delivery until they got the replacement box. Once the replacement box of chairs was received, I immediately received a delivery schedule and confirmation from the delivery team via email and got my dining set within a couple of days. The Maia dining chairs in ivory and walnut, and the Ansel dining table in walnut was securely packaged and safely delivered without any damage. Assembly of the table and chairs was so easy and they fit perfectly in my condo space. Overall, my new dining table and chairs looked amazing and are very well made.

As discussed, the delay was the result of an error on the shipper’s end involving a misplaced part of your shipment. Unfortunately, this delayed the scheduling of your delivery appointment while they searched for the missing box. As we were not made aware of the issue in a timely manner, we were under the impression that everything was proceeding according to their standard operating procedure.
That said, regardless of the circumstances, we take full responsibility and are truly sorry for any inconvenience this caused. We completely understand how disappointing this was, especially given the original estimated timeframe provided.
We are very happy to see that your delivery has now been completed in full and sincerely appreciate your patience while we worked through this with the carrier. We hope your new dining set meets your expectations and brings many enjoyable moments to your home.

Good furniture, delivery delays.
1.5 months after the order, I had still not received the furniture and started thinking the worst.
I called customer service, who was very helpful, explained the reason for the delay, and apologized for not communicating the changes.
I did receive the furniture, although later than anticipated.
It is indeed solid wood and easy to put together. It looks exactly as it does on the pictures. I will update this post once I have put it all together.

If you attempted to email us on January 22, it’s also possible that temporary Outlook server issues caused the message to bounce.

Might receive previously returned items
Ordered 2 identical swivel barstool chairs from them (Zaki).
One of them was obviously assembled previously, and then returned. Paint was chipped around every screw hole.
Both chairs had other defects, and generally mediocre quality. Such as screws not sitting flush and looking uneven (even after multiple attempts), minor damage and chips in the wood, rough bearing on the swivels, misaligned lumpy foam padding, etc. This is pretty unacceptable for 250$ per chair.
In a space so saturated with competition, these prices for this mediocre quality is just not good enough.
Go shop at some of the other dropshipping site and save some money. At least there you know you're getting mid-quality stuff at best.
