The staff were very kind, helpful, understanding and professional. Nothing was too much trouble which at a time when you’re grieving and having to navigate the formal processes, was much appreciated.

Following a recent visit to a close friend of mines burial area I decided to write a review to ensure any potential customers / purchasers are aware of the appalling conditions many of the special resting places are left in!
A close friend of mine has been buried here for a while now and each year the access to her special resting place is marred by the flooding that occurs.

Surely, the owners of woodlands should be addressing this major issue! There should be some kind of drainage implemented to allow bereaved family and friends access to their loved ones resting place!

The gardens are also unkempt and not how the brochure implied the resting place should be when customers are purchasing their plots…..

The staff lack any empathy or compassion when they remove personal belongings from loved one’s graves, without consenting with the family first! They do not respond to any queries that families raise either!!
I’m just totally disgusted and appalled as they are still trying to persuade people to buy these plots without the drainage works being completed first!!

My Grandma is buried here.
I am absolutely horrified with the flooding. Nothing has been done year after year. My Grandma has been passed 9yrs. Not a burial ground but a swamp. It is a hazard. Never seen anything like it. It is either severely over grown or severely flooded. Topped off with Sunday mother's day this year!
As police presence at the burial ground and running riot across our loved ones, as two grown men were fighting, not a staff member in sight, the office unmanned. Absolutely appalling to say the least.
Please think carefully before burying your loved ones here. I don't say this lightly. Once your loved one is buried and they've taken your money it's obvious they don't give a s***, no empathy, no sympathy and no understanding. I would have avoided this place like the plague. If only my grandad had known. On a serious note I don't know how anyone can be happy here. You can see yourself. Staff are rude with little to none or false assistance.

Over all incompetent management and uneducated staff.

My husband has been buried at Hinton for less than a year, I am appalled by the grounds. In the summer it is over grown and in the winter I am unable to reach my husbands resting place due to flooding. I have witnessed the gardeners work, pulling plants from resting places and leaving them on the ground beside where they have been removed, grass cuttings thrown all over resting places, items removed that are to be seen in other areas of the burial ground but are not allowed on certain areas. I am all for a natural burial ground but rules must be the same throughout or not at all. I have emailed Hinton park and I am still awaiting a reply 5 months later, so I hold out no hope of this getting a better response. But these things should not be happening in a place where our loved ones are resting.

The staff at Woodlands were friendly and efficient. They responded to our requests and communications swiftly, making everything seem easy. The day itself went well without a hitch. Everybody especially praised the slides show of photographs which was perfectly timed to the music.

The process was difficult due to their staff sickness. Things did get sorted but only when I made contact. I was disappointed with the internment. I had expected more. I didn't know what had happened to the floral arrangement as it was not on her plot or near it.

Very beautiful setting to look out to during the service. It was perfect from start to finish Hannah arranged the service with us and was very helpful all the way through. The gentleman on reception was very nice he helped us choose a plot also the lady who did the internment of the ashes, it was done very sensitively. Paul Tarrant the vicer was very good he read the order of service with great feeling and sensitivity. We were very happy with the service at Woodlands Burial Ground. Thank you

My son and myself were welcomed the moment we entered. Things regarding the woodland burial we wanted for my husband was explained fully also any extras we might like. On the burial day everyone was very helpful. It made the sad day special for me.

So professional but equally compassionate and really kind allowing us access during a holiday period to our loved one. Really a proper personal service at a very strange & emotional time for the family. Thank you

Everyone was so helpful, respectful and understanding.. My requests were met and the whole experience made a painful time so much easier to bear.

We found Phil very helpful and informative and it was all done quick and easy and service went very well.

Everyone was so kind to us, we have unfortunately used you twice in 6 months for both my parents but everything went smoothly and without any problems.

For an unattended cremation nearly £5k was outrageous.

Dire, isn't it. And every bad review is responded to by someone who tells the bereaved person to 'contact the team', clearly demonstrating that 'the team' is a fragmented business, always ready to put the onus of responsibility for everything back on the bereaved. I've been trying to contact them direct about burying my mum in a DIY ceremony, as we buried dad there in 2000. Nothing, Nil. No response. And guess what - I bet I get one here telling me to 'contact the team'. So you can look me up, from the email I sent you from with a proper answer to my question or you can just go on and on not listening or giving a sh* I tried the co op in, probably, July. They were both illiterate and completely unable to understand what i was saying. Terrifying.

Caring and helpful staff at a time when everything is difficult. Take care of everything.

Great service. Hanna was so helpful, patient, supportive and kind. Celebrant Claire was also brilliant.

We could not fault the service we had for the funeral. Everything went smoothly. All attendees expressed their appreciation. The staff were wonderfully helpful and attentive and the surroundings are so peaceful.

The entire process. All of the team were helpful and courteous at such a sad time in our lives. From the gentleman on reception desk(sorry don't know his name), Hannah, Helen and especially Louise Ryenolds- our lovely celebrant. Everyone contributed to making this a wonderful ceremony and experience for our family in order to lay our mum to rest and do her proud.
