Hillwalk Tours - Self-Guided Walking Holidays Omdömen 

My wife and I took a Hillwalk tour on the Dingle Peninsula in May, 2014 and had a fantastic experience in no small part because of Hillwalk's care in providing excellent materials to guide us along the way and in providing great B&B accommodations. There selection of hosts in Dingle, Ballyferriter, and Cuas could not have been better - hospitality, rooms, food, luggage transfer, and a couple unexpected local tours - all greatly appreciated.

We could not recommend Hillwalk any higher.

I hiked the Dingle Way and Kerry Way with Hillwalk Tours last year and it was a fantastic trip in every way! All of the B and B's were lovely with personable and knowledgeable hosts. Breakfasts were varied and excellent. Suggested restaurants for dinners were helpful and very good. Our luggage arrived without fail at each of the B and B's. Trail maps and hiking directions were excellent. It was a wonderful experience to do self-guided hiking with the assistance of Hillwalk Tours. I am now considering hiking Scotland using Hillwalk Tours again. They are great and all was perfect!

I was eager to go to Scotland one day. Last summer I started searching for the group tour, but during the googling for the route I found Hillwalk Tours and I realized that it's not necessary to walk in the group - I can do it myself accompanied by the friend of mine (I had't thought about it before). It suited me very much as one doesn't need to wait for somebody or to hurry following the guide. But I worried about organisation (if it's possible to buy the tour from Russia) and if I can find the route using map and description in English.
Actually there was no reason to worry! From the very first letters to HT till the end of the trip I felt that everything was well organized and people there really thought about my comfort!
Together with my friend we chose West Highland Way for 7 days - the most popular route and there wasn't any problem of the way! The bookings were made in good places and the transport was on time. We enjoyed the journey very much and I recommended HT to everybody who asked me about this active type of vacation.

The tour was perfectly organized and granted a stressfree holiday to me. I would go with Hillwalk again at any time.

I have been fortunate to travel in Europe many times. All were superb with many fond memories but our Hillwalks Tour surpasses them all. Yhe quiet, contemplative journey was perfect. We cannot wait to plan our next walk!

My husband wanted to celebrate his retirement from 23 years of military service with a hike along the Speyside Way. The hike was the perfect way for him to transition into retirement. Each guesthouse made our adventure special - from sharing their opinions on Scottish politics to recommending the meat pies at the Craig Pub - and we enjoyed every step! The directions, maps and guides were excellent; very easy to follow. We are both looking for an excuse to do another Hillwalk Tour!

I had a beautiful 8 day walk on the Dingle Way in March 2014, organised by Hillwalk. Not only was the walk itself spectacular, but the B and B's Hillwalk had organised for me were all terrific, with amazing rooms, great breakfasts, and hosts who can't do enough for you. The offer to skype about the conditions on the trail for March walkers prior to my trip put my mind greatly at ease about the conditions on the trail, which James had just walked. Maps and route notes were perfect. This is a great company.

We loved our 10-day Dingle Way self-guided walking tour! It was really great to have Hillwalk Tours arrange everything for us ahead of time. We never had to worry about finding accommodations or lugging our luggage around. Every day we got to walk with just our day packs and know we would have a hot shower and a comfortable bed waiting for us at the end of the day (those first couple days were rough, so that was quite the blessing!). All of our B&Bs were fantastic. We've already recommended Hillwalk Tours to several co-workers, and we would absolutely sign on with them again for another tour!
