Outstanding, Efficient and Professional
Joanne & Dan have been outstanding. My sale was initially PM Lawyers and even prior to them going into liquidation the service was very slow & poor. So I cannot thank the entire team at Hewitson and Harker enough, from my initial contact requesting they act on my behalf for my sale they have been nothing but professional and extremely efficient. After the experience I have had compared to the previous solicitors I will be recommending Hewitson & Harker to anyone looking for conveyancing.

I would definitely not recommend using them
This firm was one of the conveyancing solicitors on our new-build constructor's recommended list.
During the early stages of the sale of our old property, on several occasions we had to call and correct them as they made mistakes with details on some documents, listed the wrong sale price on one document, had the wrong title deeds and some inaccurate information on the draft contract which was sent for us to sign.
During the purchase of our new build property, they submitted old inaccurate copies of some documents for the draft contract and I had to call and correct our completion statement which was also incorrect.
Their response times were slow to get back to us on a number of occasions where we had to contact them about the above. They left it very short notice to inform us of exchange of contracts and completion timescales, which made planning removals and monies a bit challenging.
I would definitely not recommend using them.

Hi David,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations.
We take accuracy and communication very seriously, and it is concerning to read that you felt there were errors in the documentation and delays in responses during your transaction. Property transactions, particularly those involving a sale and a new-build purchase, can involve multiple parties and evolving documentation, but we always aim to ensure information is checked carefully and communicated clearly.
We would welcome the opportunity to review the matters you have raised so we can better understand what happened and address any issues identified. Please feel free to contact our office directly so we can look into your file and discuss this with you further.
Your feedback is important to us and helps us continually improve our service.
Best wishes,

I cant praise this firm enough
I cant praise this firm enough, they have been nothing but exceptional in our sale and purchase process. This is the second time I have used Hewitson and Harker and personally I wouldn't use anyone else. A special thanks to Daniel and Joanne who were nothing but amazing in dealing with a fairly large chain that created a few issues and delays which both worked relentlessly to resolve. Both Daniel and Joanne were super responsive and provided timely and regular updates. Thankyou ☺️

House sale went smoothly and we were kept informed. No chasing required for updates
We used their services to sell a property in Sheffield recently and found them to be proactive rather than reactive. Legal Documents were issued quickly and they chased the buyer's solicitors when it was appropriate to do so. A very professional service and would recommend them.

I would highly recommend Hewitson & Harker for conveyancing. Throughout our purchase, both Daria and Emilia were professional, thorough and incredibly responsive. Any questions or concerns we had were answered promptly, and emails were dealt with quickly, which made a huge difference during what can be a very stressful process.
They handled our purchase efficiently, kept us informed at key stages, and worked hard to move things forward even when parts of the process were outside their control. We always felt that our file was being actively managed and that they were doing everything they could to progress matters.
Thank you both for your support and hard work in getting us to completion — it was genuinely appreciated.

I completed a Transfer of Equity following the passing of my late husband with H&H, and Emily Bogie handled my case. She was absolutely fantastic throughout the whole process.
We received regular updates, and whenever we emailed, we always received a response within a couple of hours at most. All documents were sent to us promptly, and the entire process was completely stress-free.
I would highly recommend H&H to anyone
