Hertz Car Sales Omdömen 

I have been waiting over 2 months for the Richmond Virginia Hertz Car Sales to send NY DMV the paperwork for the registration, plates and title. 2 temporary plates have expired and I still don't have them. I also can't drive the car right now because the 2nd temporary plates expired. They told me they would send me a 3rd set but I still haven't received them. I call there and if they answer the phone, I get platitudes but no results. I am beginning to believe there is some sort of scam. I have the car and they have their money.

Though this experience is based on the Charlotte, NC Hartz Car Sales location, the main issue is undoubtedly nationwide. The prices on their website are very competitive. When you arrive at the location, though, you find that every vehicle carries a $699 mandatory fee for documentation and paperwork. On the website there is a statement at the bottom: "Advertised prices exclude all taxes, tag, title, registration fees, government fees, finance charge, dealer document processing charge, and any emission testing charge". This is in small print at the bottom of the webpage. The salesperson said that this fee applies to every purchase, with no exceptions. Of course they can charge whatever fees they want, but this fee should be prominently displayed on every webpage and mentioned if a prospective purchaser calls the office (it wasn't). The rest of our experience was satisfactory, but a surprise $699 expense soured the whole thing.

The dealership could never deliver a title for the car. Wont return calls or messages.

Regarding Salt Lake City Hertz car sales and the entire corp business model scheme.
—From the bs certified 116 pt vehicle inspection which I was promised and all vehicles supposed to come with, mine was post dated, mileage incorrect, performed by a detail shop that charged 35.00 to fill out the form. Tires were low, oil was 3/4 inch over full line, and entire form obviously pencil whipped after I asked for it.
Had to take to a dealer when I got home, had manuf. recall, oil needed changed and to proper level , tires unsafe pressure, another 400.00 out of pocket
— lied about extended warranty purchased (said 9 yrs but gave 7)
—1/8 tank of gas and sent 400 mile back to home after saying they would fill after discussion with manager.
-No floor mats, told to look in back.
-No service records and they can’t get them
-Discussions w GM up to executive managers all recognizing the above circumstances, even said they would work out fair compensation (never did a thing except ignore in the end.
I was a 20yr Hertz Presidents Circle customer and spent 10-15K a year on rentals and this is the garbage business model they inflict on everyone. Imagine if you walk in off the street! Downright hideous business, period!

I made an appoint at Hertz Car Sales of Lynn, MA. When I arrive, they have another appointment for the same hour. I have a dialog with the customer services about my appointment and arguing that I should see the car according to my appointment, but he was rude, showing me the door to get out and telling me "That he did not have the patience to deal with peoples on that day"

170 Point check is a load of lies

I bought a car from the Houston location and it had been stripped of three parts. I discovered this and went back to the dealer. They could find two of the parts but would not get me one of the parts. They would not reimburse me for the missing part. This was dishonest. I bought what I thought was the entire car not just part of it.

Hertz car sales, Katy, TX. The only descriptive words I can think of are, Clown Show.

The salesman, George, at the Baltimore Nottingham location was extremely rude. I saw a car I liked today and was prepared to buy it, but would not buy a car from such a rude salesman He waved a hand in the direction of the car for me to go look at it. When I found it, it was locked. He refused to give me any information about the car, telling me to check the website, and he told me I could only test drive it if I was committed to buying it today. So I walked out and will take my business elsewhere.

THEY HAVE NO INTEGRITY!
Go to Enterprise down the street because they have better standards, warranties, and more honest salesman and managers.

Hertz has low standards and their staff are liars.

I bought a truck at the Hertz Car Sales in Gresham Oregon, May ‘24, and overall I have been Happy with the truck, but I have called them Many times with questions, but they refuse to call me back. I have called at least a dozen times, and left messages with the other employees 6 or more times and no response. I paid cash for the truck, so I’m assuming they got their money and they’re done.
This company has terrible communication skills.

Worst experience ever buying a car from Hertz car sale LLC 1133 west bell rd phoenix az 85023 I paid in full cash and l found out hertz was a lean holder on my title when I contacted them they were rude and gave me the run around and yet still continue to lie I showed them the proof and they did not help after five days of having the car, the front tire was bad. The front end was shaky. Somethings wrong with the chip in the car. The sales man 100% took advantage of me.

I had a terrible experience with the Smithtown, NY dealership. On 04/30/2024, I tried to purchase a vehicle that was available at this location from hertzcarsales.com and submitted the application online. After a few hours, Greg called me and confirmed the financial approval and purchase. I asked him about the shipping cost, as I live in another state. He said he would get back to me with the details soon. The next day, when I called, someone informed me that Greg was out for the day.

On 05/02/2024, after multiple attempts, I talked to Greg and was shocked to hear that he had sold the car to someone else! When I asked him why he had sold the car to someone else after I had already purchased it, he hung up the phone. I called him again, and he said that he was there to sell the car and that I shouldn't question him about it and hung up the phone again!

This was extremely disappointing. A credit check was run unnecessarily, and it was a waste of my time. It is highly unlikely that a fraudulent sale of this nature will occur without the manager's knowledge. Please do yourself a favor and steer clear of this dealership. There are plenty of other places to buy a car where you will be treated with respect and honesty, neither of which you will find here.

Called Hertz about a 2021 Tesla at there Stone Mountain GA location. I setup an appointment for this Friday because I’d be driving from Memphis TN. I secured financing from USAA, Gave Hertz all my information and asked for a sales order, was told I’d have it only for them to sell the car to Carvana. No I have a hard pull of credit for nothing.. Thanks Hertz. Plus I had to call them back to get this information. No common decency at all. The sales rep Ms. Drake to tell me she was off and couldn’t hold the car for only two days. Information that wasn’t given to me. So I would have driven 400 miles for a car that they already sold. Completely unprofessional.

What a bunch of sleazeballs. I had an online ad showing a price $900 lower than what they quoted in the store. I had called ahead and had the lower price confirmed by Cedric. He said he never said that. The finance guy said they could raise prices any time. Goodbye, Hertz!

Crooks and dishonest. Had a Honda Civic listed at 14800 with no pictures. I setup a time to test drive car and purchase it. Went back out to see if any pics were listed and the car is now listed for 15400 plus a $500 doc fee. Nope!!!! The salesmen, Charles, is a complete clown. Someone said in another post he was creepy. Well he also argues with customers. Instead of saying hey let me honor that price he says well you will have to talk to management and nothing I can do. Yes, there is something you can do. You can make this right instead of being a complete liar. I used to work for Hertz and never worked with dishonest people there. Guess new way of doing business but not by me. Never again. Buyer Beware!!!!!!

Car is great! Customer service, not so much. Advertised floor mats and a couple of other minor items were not with vehicle when delivered. Finally had to threaten to report to BBB, then they put items on order. A week after the estimated date items may arrive at their facility, no updates. Communication is the lifeblood of customer service, good or bad news. Me thinketh they have bled out. I suspect I will eventually get the items, but will hesitate to buy from them again just because of a failure to communicate.

Met Ronald, a Phoenix HCS salesman. Seemed like a genuine guy. He said brakes on Subaru he was showing had better than 50% life and mechanics had gone through the car. Things were happy at contact time...we bought car as-is as all their sales are. Less than 3 weeks later we are out $704 for new brakes.

Call to Ronald gave us the line "he only told us what he was told" Buyer Beware...stay away from Hertz Car Sales

My wife and I had been trying to buy a good used car and have realized what an absolute nightmare this can be with all of the big dealerships playing a nasty game of surprise fees. We thought we found a great option at Hertz. Through multiple calls, texts, and emails we discussed a car we liked and got the cash-out-the-door price. I asked multiple times to confirm this was correct/ full and final numbers and that there would be no surprises. They confirmed. We thought we were finally saved from the nonsense of all the shady dealers out there.

We went into the showroom, had our test-drive, and had our money ready to go. Suddenly we get the price sheet and it was $1,000 more than the cash price we were given, even after our trade in that was not figured into the prior numbers (lowest trade-in value of anyone else we had visited by a long shot). I asked what the heck happened and was told they didn't include tax before. We were very disappointed, but weren't too far off if they would give a respectable number on our trade, we could still get the job done...

A manager came out and was very rude. He was raising his voice with us and treated us like it was our fault and refused to do anything else. I told him this could be resolved without angry, but he continued raising his voice and speaking aggressively. There was no apology, there was no effort. Nothing but a yelling manager who wanted to pass their ineptitude onto us, rather than taking an ounce of personal responsibility. We asked for the cash-out-the-door price, they gave it to us, we asked to confirm that was absolutely it, they confirmed... We were duped again by nasty people and treated like garbage in the process. All of this while another customer was in the building to witness.

Buyer beware, these people cannot be trusted to treat you fairly and not pull a bait and switch with pricing once you're in the door.

The car was perfect but the loan another thing.

My neighbor was with me and let him handle the ins and outs of purchase as he at one time had a dealership. I had to get a loan , though I could have had the cash in two days. They won’t hold a car even with down payment. I was told at the time there was a 6month prepayment penalty. That I would get back $528.00 at that time (amount of interest) as it is closer to that time contacted them . They all of a sudden have no idea what I am talking about.contact bank. Did that. Found could have paid loan at anytime with no penalty. They said contact dealer as they have no idea why there would have been a penalty. My paper work was lost ina water leak I had in my office and Hertz has said couldn’t get me a copy. If you get a car from them have loan in place before hand.
Added July 21 finally talked to finance person at hertz and she knew what I was talking about.very helpful
