I’ve really appreciated the support I have received from my journey guide and the group I have been paired with. They’ve all been welcoming and it’s been wonderful speaking with them all. I haven’t felt much of a decrease in my negativity and poor mental state but it helps to discuss things so such problems don’t increase

HJC has been a great experience for me. I'm in a smaller, biweekly group that usually doesn't game while we talk, but the gaming theme of the program attracts people with similar experiences who I feel I can be myself with, unlike other similar groups I've been in. My partner has said they've noticed positive change in me since I started and I've picked up some great coping skills from the group. Highly recommended.

It’s been a rough go with life and trying to get the care I need. I’ve been in therapy for years and the last four years challenged everything I’ve worked towards. This group has been an immense help. It brought perspective in ways I didn’t expect. Playing games while working through problems is a benefit because it’s often the only time I get to myself. It forces me to practice self care and realize that my feelings matter. My experiences matter, and I’m more than just a parent.

The company is great, I just wish I had better resources to have immediate access for when I’m in need. Then again a more appropriate therapist would do me better in this accord. As far as the journey itself, it’s a slow and steady process but for the most part while I attend my sessions, they do help improve me little by little. I still have a long way to go but I can’t wait to see what’s next on my journey.

Doing art, talking about my week, and meeting new people who validate my feelings, share anxieties, and happiness. It all seems enriching and good.

There is always a sense of community in this organization. Guides are understanding and great at keeping everyone engaged. Support staff are also understanding and often will base there crediting of your account by situation and that is amazing. Love this group and each guide is there own that's for sure.

The welcoming group. The group leader has made it safe and easy to talk about anything. The other group members struggle just like me, and we help each other with good advice and a with good listening. And we have a TON of fun together in game.

Hero Journey Club is a very welcoming and safe space for everybody involved. In my experience, the staff have been very open and equally friendly, and the activities offered have been quite helpful. It has been very nice to meet new people and the sessions have given me a very helpful outlook on my future in the comfort of my own home. When faced with conflicts, staff aren’t afraid to be swift and firm, while also being accommodating for everyone else. Absolutely would recommend to friends, and to anybody who wants to expand on their mental health journey and play a bit of video games while doing it.

I’ve been doing HeroJourney for a little over 2 months now and I truly enjoy the acceptance and openness that Hero Journey provides. The Journey guides are all extremely knowledgeable and caring. They provide unbiased feedbacks about our personal experiences if you ask for some. The price of Hero Journey is great as well. You can opt to skip sessions, change journey guides, and any other help you may need. I highly recommend Hero Journey for anyone who just needs to talk about any personal problems they are experiencing.

HJC is incredible!! The camaraderie and support is amazing, and gaming is such a commonality that can bridge any gap. The Journey Guides are so kind and knowledgeable - I feel so soothed after every session.

Hero Journey Club has beeen amazing. I had been with them for about 8 or so sessions now. I like my group and they are very welcoming. Cheyenne has been amazing and Emily who was my first therapist within the group. Its less itimidating then regular therapy and we all share similar interests and have fun playing games

I’ve been through a few sessions now, and I am very pleased from the beginning.

At first I was worried I was just going through a typical therapy survey system and would still get stuck with a group that didn’t understand what I was dealing with; but I can say that the matchup system they have setup is perfect!

My group and I all started at same time, and meet every other week.
Our therapist, Damon, really has a balanced perspective of what we are going through, and finds ways to not only help us better understand ourselves, but also how to challenge ourselves to improve so that we can continue to move forward.
My group is also amazing. We vibe so well together, and we feel like we can come a safe place to talk and understand each other, without fear of judgement.

I for one, would give 10 stars if I could!

I've been here for almost a year, and it's been phenomenal. I was a little hesitant at first, due to some trauma with other therapy companies, but this has been so helpful. Rather than trying to tell you you're broken, they provide you with resources to handle what you're already dealing with and how to prevent further stressors. The groups are amazingly set up, and you have plenty of time and ways to cancel paying for a session if you need to skip one. My journey guide has been wonderfully kind and understanding, and has helped me through so much. My overall mood has increased and my anxiety has dropped. Very highly recommend.

The journey service was exceptional at helping my mental health for a price that was extremely affordable compared to structured therapy, even in a money-tight situation where all one has is a potato computer and maybe a few Discord games to play. It did take a while to process (my wait was about 2-3 months), and the system is a little new still, but for what this service is, it's well worth the rough edges.

Speaking from my experience, my Guide has been nothing but a blessing in the storm, making an effort to be there for the Journeyers, who I also connect with on a deeper level. I learned much about myself here, and I will say as an AuDHD girl that this is great for those who are neurodivergent, or closeted of such, with a special interest in games or creative subjects. It's also very friendly towards LGBTQ+ people, especially in the TQ+ part, as many struggle with issues involving gender identity nowadays, and acceptance is key in this point in time. It's refreshing to see a space where this is casually accommodated for, and not made into a heated argument. Guides will use focused approaches proven to work in therapy for a wide arrange of things, and you'll be matched with one that works best for you from the get-go, and if you don't fit in a group, you can switch without much hassle. In my experience, though, most who join their first group stay, and we grow together. It feels welcoming and much more relaxed than being in an office or on a tense call, which has done wonders for my progress here.

All in all, this is one of the hidden gems of the world, and I would recommend to anyone who needs affordable care.

The group I'm part of is super supportive and friendly, and I feel like it's great to grow with everyone simultaneously. My experience with HJC has been amazing!

I’ve been with HJC for more than a year now. It’s gone through /a lot/ of changes. While some may not be my favorite, they have always been people first.

It's a great group therapy environment. Small groups, and once a week. We talk about our week positive and negatives and there's extra support in meetings if needed. We set a goal each week to keep us motivated. Overall would recommend.

This is just what I was looking for. I graduated individual therapy but I needed something I could routinely go to to just get through the dailies of life. This is exactly what I needed for an affordable price. It took about 2 weeks to get matched with a group and I’m glad they took their time bc I love the group I was matched with! I can’t recommend hero’s journey enough.

Regular therapy isn't for everyone, sometimes the pressure of having to talk to someone on one, or go out to an in-person space can be enough to prevent you from getting the help you need. But this environment is your own home, it's easy to commit to, comfortable, affordable, and you get to make friends while you're at it.
