My school had our cap/gowns manufactured by this company and it was absolutely ridiculous for the budget they (the school) had.
Quality is terrible: the material is the same sort of fabric I’d find with a cheaply made costume off Amazon. Zipper was not visually broken but, it could not be closed no matter what angle or direction you decided to tug it, or even how careful you went.
This is more of a personal opinion nevertheless, the design is tacky and is even more obvious with brighter colors in comparison to at least having most features hidden with black. Party City might have better graduation gowns…
Horrible customer service
We just want the 2 cheer rings we ordered for our daughter. No return voice mails at all and it's been well over a month of leaving them, getting the run around from FB messenger and no replys to emails asking where our 2 rings are. I have asked multipal times for a manager to call me back and I'm just getting ignored!
Lost graduation ring then received in ripped box
I ordered my graduation ring on 4/1. they said it would be a 4-6 week waiting period for it to arrive. All good. once they email me saying they shipped it with fedex, fedex says the ring will be delivered on 5/15. I'm excited because it will be delivered on time for my graduation on the 20th. Out of nowhere, on the 15th they take off the delivery date from the tracking site. I still say okay whatever maybe they're just behind. On May 23rd, i decide to call fedex and ask because it's been 10 days. They tell me they lost the ring and I need to contact herff jones. It's Memorial Day weekend so i have to wait until today (5/27). Today, magically the ring gets delivered WITH THE PACKAGE BOX RIPPED OPEN. I'm surprised the ring box actually stayed inside. So I call herff jones to ask if there was anything else supposed to be inside, ive never ordered from them before so just wanna make sure nothing else fell out. when i call them, they ask me what they want me to do if i eventually ended up getting the ring. Just horrible customer service after i spent $1000+ on a ring. Do better. I'm not accusing anyone but the ring taking an extra 2 weeks to get here, and the box being ripped open... somebody probably tried to steal it but since I called maybe the looked into it. Never again
Cheaply made jewelry
I ordered a ZTA bracelet for my daughter's 21st birthday. I paid close to $50. It broke within a month. They kindly sent another, and it broke just as quickly. The jewelry is of poor quality. I would have be happier getting a $10 bracelet off of Amazon. I have buyers remorse. It was supposed to be a special gift for a proud ZTA member and we are both extremely disappointed.

The company sent the wrong regalia. The customer service was not helpful at all. They refuse to communicate by phone. They stressed out what was supposed to be one of the best days of my life. Avoid at all costs. There are other regalia companies.

We paid hundreds of dollars to this company to publish a senior ad in our yearbook. They failed to complete their duties. They then promised to correct their error, but have done anything except delay corrective procedures. They deny their responsibilities as a publisher and now leave me no choice.

Scam- they pretend to care and will promise you anything under the sun to get you to order something from them. Once you do, they will tell you too bad, and too sad for you. They will even pretend to "ship it out" or say they will cancel it, and not.
I have spent over a month and I am still being screwed over.
Class ring never shipped
I paid for a class ring on 9/29/24 with an 8-9 week turn around which gave me ample time to receive before graduation. 10 weeks later and there wasn't an update. I reached out to Herff Jones and it took a while for them to respond and I asked and they said it would take 12 weeks and I asked for a refund since they didn't hold up their end of the deal. They said ok but I would only be refunded a portion of what I paid due to canceling so I chose to not cancel so I wouldn't lose money and it's been over 15 weeks and I still don't have an update or my ring and am out over $600.
Texas A&M @ San Antonio Graduation…
Ordered my A&M San Antonio Graduation Ring. They had a promo code for $400 off a 14k version of the ring. Still paid a little less than $1300. I get an email today saying they will not honor thier own promo code because Texas A&M doesn't allow them to discount the ring. First why have promo codes for your rings if you can't honor them.Lame company, very disappointed, Greedy Company and if A&M actually did this shame on them as well. Spent thousands of dollars on thier classes and required supplies to be able to graduate from there and your gonna squeeze your students even more money for the Graduation ring.
Horrible quality for price
Ordered my cap and gown and when it got here I just expected more. For the price I payed for this stuff it just feels like cheap party store trash. ASU should be ashamed of themselves to work with a company like this.
HORRIBLE company to do business with
Went on the website to order an officer dangle for a sorority. The officer position I needed, Member Engagement was the first one that popped up, however it didn't have a picture. In looking at all of the other dangles, I decided to order, assuming that Herff Jones would have one that fit the position. We sat back and waited 6 weeks, yes, SIX WEEKS for it to be delivered. What I received was a joke. It was a teeny tiny heart (less than 1/2") that you can only see half of when it is placed on their membership key, it doesn't have anything to do with Membership Engagement and it actually is a dangle for a different position at a different sorority all together, in which there is a picture of for that position. If they knew which one they were going to use, why not put the picture there since they already had it? Amanda, the customer service rep, was extremely rude and condescending and needs to learn how to speak to customers and handle inquiries in a professional manner. Their design team needs to go back to the drawing board for the dangle design to actually represent its position and the website design team needs to place a picture of items along with a description on the site before they release it to be sold. I will never order for them again (INCREDIBLY OVERPRICED) and will tell everyone I know to avoid them.

My kids bought me a class ring from my medical school that I graduated from many years ago. (I didn't have enough money to buy a class ring at that time). The class ring was a very expensive class ring which included a diamond. On the inside there is an inscription. Unfortunately I developed some arthritis which did not allow me to wear the ring anymore. I sent it to Herff Jones in Rhode Island to have it enlarged to a bigger size. I was very worried about the inscription on the inside would be destroyed. However when I received the up-sized ring I was amazed that the inscription on the inside was perfect. You cannot tell that the ring has been altered at all. I am extremely impressed with the workmanship. Herff Jones stands behind their product! They even repaired the ring free of charge. In today's world it is very rare to find a company that is this reputable.
Terrible
I had a disappointing experience with this company. Their items are overpriced, and they employ tactics that push you to spend more. Given their poorly designed, frustrating website and ordering system, it's surprising that they supply regalia for so many universities.

I bought I ring from HJ for my daughter Highschool graduation 2024.What a shame to have to spend $1,164.69 for a tiny ugly ring. That did not resemble the huge ring that they were announcing in their brochure. This people should be sue by all for being such a scammers in collusion with the school who allow them to go to the schools having a preferential treatment without any competition from the part of other company that would offer better price and services
HERFF JONES IS HORRIBLE
HERFF JONES IS HORRIBLE. THE TRUE RATING IS ZERO! I returned new and unused regalia, a black graduation gown, a Master's level red hood and a black cap with tassel, in the original packages on April 19, 2022. Herff Jones officials stated I would receive a total refund of my monies spent. It has been approximately seven weeks and I have not received my refund. I purchased the items on March 25th. A Herff Jones official sent me a return form on April 18th. Herff Jones received the regalia via Federal Express on April 21st. I contacted the company several times. The company operates with unethical and illegal business practices.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT AND THE STATE OF INDIANA SHOULD CLOSE THIS COMPANY PERMANENTLY. NO EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION SHOULD USE HERFF JONES FOR THEIR STUDENTS. HERFF JONES SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO OPERATE IN ANY STATE OR COUNTRY. MANY COMPLAINTS ARE ON THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU'S, GOOGLE AND YELP SITES ALSO.
