Same as other reviewers. I was promised free lounge access for delays, so I purchased a lifetime membership. A few months later, it's a paid lounge access site for lousy lounges. For example, for $40 per traveler at LAX, you can purchase a 10-minute massage service worth $38. And it's not even for a lounge, it's for a place anyone can walk into. Complete ripoff.

I bought the product. Upgraded to lifetime. Never had the misfortune to use, but now I go to set it up for upcoming trip and I’ve been removed? A short while ago, I spoke to a human who said it went from vacay delay to hello delay and now it’s for discounted hotels. I don’t stay in hotels and it’s not what I purchased. She said the contract says that can change the product on us.

What gives?
I still get their advertising tho.

When’s the class action suit? I don’t want to miss it.

The new program may be nice, but I bought a subscription to access airport lounges for free whilst my flight is delayed - not a service that "enables" me to spend $40 for every time I want to access a lounge.

Busiest day of the year to travel! I tried for the earliest flight possible, but I've got a 2-hour layover in Dallas.

Thanks to my sister for getting me a lifetime membership for Hello Vacay, I was able to get my "anytime access" airport lounge pass and now I'm sitting with a cappuccino. Saved the day for sure.

Beware—this website is a scam. Once you pay, it is suitable only 1-2 times, and then they change everything, saying something like "unavoidable company rules have changed." You will lose the privilege that you signed up for.

I signed up with HelloVacay a while back for hotel discounts. I've gotten some really great deals, and am now using them to get into airport lounges too! I love how easy it is to buy my lounge admission - so far, so good! :)

I heard they had a challenge with one of their products at launch so I was a little reluctant at first. But, one of my friends was using their new airport lounge product and loved it so I just started using it. Seriously, if you are not using all these airport lounges when you are traveling you are not traveling the right way. So easy to use and the lounges make my travels so much more chill. From now on, I won't leave home without it!

As a long-time HelloVacay member, I've seen the service evolve. Yes, the recent changes to the lounges for flight delays was unexpected, but after exploring the new offerings, I'm more than happy with the value I'm getting.

While it's true I can't access a lounge for free during flight delays anymore, for me, it's much better to have the new anytime airport lounge access service instead of just for a delayed flight.

I've seen other reviews saying this a scam. It's not. Businesses need to evolve when things happen beyond their control and I feel like HelloVacay is working hard to keep my business and keep me happy.

HelloVacay is not just about airport lounges either. I've booked hotels through their new website twice and in August 2024, I used their brand new option to save 25% on a week on a resort condo for my family vacation.

The only reason I'm not giving them a full five stars is I want them to continue to evolve and from what I've seen they will...and that's a good thing.

Let's be honest upfront: whilst the service worked as bought, it was wonderful! The new program might be nice, but I bought a subscription to access airport lounges for free whilst my flight is delayed - not a service that "enables" me to spend $40 for every time I want to access a lounge. As an "on-top-bonus" that might be fine (apart from the fact, that even that is not accessible presently), but taking the sole selling point of a product away? Even if your supplier changes, that damage shall be mitigated by the company, not the customer.

They are a scam. They stopped offering the lounge access for flight delay even though this is literally the only service they have, and replaced it with some useless subscription membership.

To any unhappy customer reading this, just dispute with your credit card company. Arbitrary change to their service, despite their terms and conditions, is illegal under the consumer protection law of any state.

I signed up for the life time Lounge pass membership they offered. I registered my flights to London. I checked on the status and they changed their whole program and no longer offer it. I’ve emailed them and only got a copy/paste reply.

I want my money back. This is not what I signed up for.

My friend recommended because she got a big discount on a hotel using the service before. So, I thought I would try it out. I got 47% off the hotel we stayed at. I compared it to every other online travel agency and it was legitimately that much off the public prices. Will definitely be using again!

So glad I found this! I travel a lot, and they have so many perks, like lounge access and great deals on hotel rooms. I’ve been using for a while now and it’s definitely saved me some significant money considering the amount I travel. And I always thought I had to have a certain credit card to get lounge access, so I love they offer an alternative way. Can’t believe I ever traveled without using the lounges! I’ll never go back

I bought a Lifetime membership to VacayDelay in August 2023. I was able to sign up for my flights and one time received a lounge pass (which was too far from my gate to use). Recently they changed all memberships to HelloVacay, they have been promising for months now that they will have some sort of benefits for lounges called HelloLounge, but as of right now there is zero use of having this membership. What is even more funny is since I already registered my flights, it has been emailing me for my current trips and even emailed me May 7 to say my flight left on time when it did not and I was not sent a voucher. So far, I have received no benefit for the $128 fee I paid. I would stop short of calling it a scam, because I don't think they meant for this to happen, but would say they very much over-promised and under-delivered. And, their communication is TERRIBLE, basically Zero or incorrect.

Purchased a lifetime membership for vouchers for delays which was arbitrarily changed to sell passes, requested a refund with no response.

Please don't fall for this scam trap. I bought a lifetime membership a month ago, then a sudden change of membership plan, which they said they cannot avoid. I am not happy with the benefits that I paid for,

Signed up and paid for a year's subscription because I wanted "free airport lounge access for any flight delay over one hour for yourself and up to four people traveling with you."
Registered some flights I'd booked. A month later I noticed the "My Trips" section of the website had been removed along with my registered flights. Their response? "Due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, we can no longer offer airport lounge access to our members."
OK, just give me a refund then. Still waiting and they've stopped replying to emails.
Absolute disgrace. Avoid.

I bought lifetime insurance that included free access to the airport lounge in case of a flight delay of at least 1 hour. However, without any proper communication, the company no longer offers this service. As per inquiry, they stated, 'Due to circumstances beyond their control, we can no longer offer airport lounge access to our members in the same way we have up until now. Simply put, our airport lounge provider changed their policies, and flights can no longer be registered for VacayDelay.' When I asked for a refund, they replied, 'The details of the new feature for HelloLounge are still unavailable as our operations team is finalizing them. We will communicate to you and all our members once the new feature is ready for use, and the details are included." Not a legit business.
