This has been, without question, one of the worst online shopping experiences I have ever had. I feel completely misled by this company.
The return policy is, in my experience, incredibly deceptive. At no point before purchasing was it made sufficiently clear that if I needed to return my order, I would be expected to pay to ship it all the way back to China at my own expense. Had this been made obvious before checkout, I would never have placed the order.
When I contacted customer service, instead of receiving genuine help, I was met with repetitive template responses, endless back-and-forth emails, and what felt like constant attempts to avoid taking responsibility or offering a fair solution. Every response seemed designed to wear me down rather than resolve the issue.
Expecting customers to pay expensive international return shipping makes the so-called “hassle-free” returns feel completely unrealistic. It leaves customers trapped with products they no longer want because returning them simply isn’t financially worthwhile.
The entire experience has been stressful, frustrating, and incredibly disappointing. I have now had to escalate the matter to my bank because I believe I exhausted every reasonable attempt to resolve this directly with Hello Macy.
Companies should succeed through honesty, transparency, and good customer service. Sadly, my experience with Hello Macy was the complete opposite. I felt misled, dismissed, and treated as though my concerns simply didn’t matter once they had my money.
I will never order from Hello Macy again, and I would strongly encourage anyone considering buying from them to research their return process very carefully before spending a penny. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company in any way.
