Villas at pine hills. Currently renting a loft that feels like one of the originals. I have had three major floods from upstairs bathroom creating a waterfall through kitchen ceiling. The ceiling is now caved in and they say its a bad paint job and nothing will be getting done. Major drain fly infestation that I had to pay to get fixed because I waited a week for the exterminator to not show up. My refrigerator has no handle and missing hardware. Dishwasher doesn't work, skylight handle is broken, toilet clogs when flushing piss, nothing stays plugged into the outlets, no light switches work, heat either doesn't turn on or you cant get it off. Maintenace comes only when your at work so I need to miss work to have maintenace come and not do a thing about it. Worse place ever

I lived at Heatherwood Pine Hills South in Moriches, NY for three years. When I moved out this July 2025, I left the apartment thoroughly cleaned, cleaner than when I had moved in. After living in the very tiny apartment for three years, the carpet did have stains. I had asked one of the maintenance guys about the carpet and they told me that if I lived here for 10 years, Heatherwood would charge me to replace the carpet. So, I rented a commercial carpet cleaner days before I vacated and cleaned the carpet and it looked close to brand new. Heatherwood decided to charge me almost $800 to replace the carpet. I reached out to Heatherwood to ask about this outrageous charge and I was told that management would not budge and that they would reduce the security deposit returned to me by that much. This was completely unfair and they took advantage of me because they had the control over the security deposit they returned. Besides this warning to you, be aware that this Heatherwood apartment complex is a “Dump”. In three years, there were no improvements in the community, although they would frequently send out emails asking tenants to clean up after their dogs in an effort to “maintain the beautification of the community”. The community is not beautiful. It is ugly, dark, gloomy, and downright depressing. There is no color, no flowers, no mulch - just weeds and leaves and dog s***. I don’t remember a week in the three years that I lived there that I didn’t see three or four cop cars in the complex. Goes to show you the type of tenants that rent there. Heatherwood Pine Hills South is a slum and I would never rent from them again. They are also thieves and kept $800 of my money. Scum.
