The customer dealing is very bad account are blocked net banking stopped with out any information
If a customer submit a KYC it is updated after 2 months when your account will be blocked in the meantime.The bank staff only busy asking for booking FD making mutual fund investment etc

I have problem with account blocking for 4 months and given my documents correct but can help me call the help desk but people put on machine answering phone for 15 to 30 minutes wasted my time for 15 day very bad service 😑

I wish i could give 0 star to not 1 or 2 branch, but to the entire bank! Just because it has strong nationwide spread does not make it better! HDFC banks' customer service is just 1000 times worst! It simply makes you run from one branch to another! Cooperative banks are way better than this private brand!

My entire account frozen for over 20 days. Cannot access any money for rent, food, or bills.
Bank says "get revocation order from cyber police" but ALL contacts they provided are completely unresponsive:
Called 20+ times - nobody answers
Emailed 10+ times - zero replies
Asked to travel to Delhi/Bangalore but they froze all my money
Branch staff (Mr. Himanshu Gandhi, Mr. Nilesh Trivedi) just repeat same useless instructions. Grievance cell sends copy-paste emails - zero real help.
Small disputed amount but they froze EVERYTHING - completely illegal and disproportionate.
30+ days of financial hell. Living without money while my legitimate funds are trapped. Severe mental stress.
How they can improve:
Stop freezing entire accounts. Provide working contacts that actually respond. Show basic humanity to customers in crisis.
WARNING: Avoid this branch. They will destroy your financial life.

When I visited for cash deposit no one was there still she says I am busy with my work you have a sit for two mins , I went after 3 mins she again says I am busy you sit I will call you once i am free.Never seen such a worst service in any of the HDFC BANK's.

Worst service and worst bank experience. There is no proper procedure in place to address or clarify customer issues. The processes are disorganized, communication is poor, and problem resolution feels reactive rather than structured. Overall, the bank operates in a way that is not customer-friendly and shows little regard for user experience or service accountability.
No tie up with leading electronic players
No tie up with Vijay sales , croma , reliance digital or apple store. Always I see discount on other cards not in HDFC. This is pathetic.
Stopped UPI transactions
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to raise a serious concern regarding the freezing of my friend’s HDFC Bank account solely on the basis of frequent UPI transactions.
UPI is a payment system actively promoted by the Government of India, the RBI, and by HDFC Bank itself as a fast, convenient, and legitimate method of digital payment. Using UPI frequently for lawful personal and business transactions is entirely normal and well within the intended purpose of the system.
Freezing an account merely because a customer has made “too many” UPI payments is neither reasonable nor acceptable unless there is clear evidence of fraud, illegal activity, or a specific regulatory breach. If such concerns exist, the customer has the right to be informed clearly, in writing, with precise reasons and the relevant legal or regulatory provisions cited.
At present, the account has been frozen without proper explanation, causing unnecessary financial hardship and inconvenience. This action appears disproportionate and lacks transparency.
I respectfully request the following:
1. A clear written explanation stating the exact reason for freezing the account.
2. Reference to the specific RBI guideline, law, or internal policy under which this action was taken.
3. Immediate steps required, if any, to restore full access to the account.
4. A reasonable timeframe within which the account will be unfrozen.
If this matter is not resolved promptly and transparently, the customer will have no option but to escalate the issue to HDFC Bank’s Grievance Redressal mechanism and, if necessary, to the RBI Banking Ombudsman.
I trust HDFC Bank will handle this matter professionally and restore access to the account at the earliest.

HDFC Bank is absolutely terrible because I had my salary account with them, and my salary hasn't been credited to that account for 1.5 years. My account balance went to -959, so I tried to maintain it and deposited 959 + 10000 rupees, plus I deposited a demand draft check of ₹930. Then, I suddenly checked my account and found that my balance was shi is cut -₹8496 because they deducted their maintenance charges without any message or email. When I went to the bank and inquired, they said that only ₹2000 or ₹3000 would be returned, and the rest wouldn't. Why is this happening?

I used my HDFC IndianOil Credit Card for an ATM cash withdrawal, and the charges are extremely disappointing.
HDFC charged a high cash withdrawal fee and interest started immediately from the same day. There is no interest-free period at all. The interest amount keeps increasing every day until full repayment.
This was not clearly explained at the time of card usage. Such charges are very misleading and unfair to customers.
I strongly advise others NOT to use HDFC credit cards for ATM withdrawals unless you are ready to pay heavy interest and fees.

Please do not use any product of HDFC like pixel, they don't have any customer care number and office to reach them. And HDFC bank will not help in any unauthorised transactions.

HDFC credit card is running a scam!
HDFC credit card is running a scam!, they will call you to offer loan on credit card to take advantage of people may in distress. I asked them for early closing or part payment, every they said “no problem after 3 months”. Now I want to close the loan they say regardless it’s 3% fine. When I mentioned about the promises made they said they will do an investigation but came to me saying that they have proof that customer is lying. When I asked for the proof, they are asking me to write to grievance and so. It was a day light robbery and they are happy to pray on customers like me!!
