Set in 8.5 acres, The Oaks Crematorium is surrounded by beautiful ancient semi-natural woodland and wildflower meadow, providing a picturesque setting for the Crematorium building which has been sensitively designed. As well as creating a space that is relevant for all cultures, ages and beliefs, it provides a tranquil sanctuary for the bereaved, inspired by its natural setting.

Cremation
It was a pure cremation that was organised by my funeral director. I received my late wifes ashes a few days later together with my certificate of cremation. It was handled with the professionalism I expected. M.Barton

Good venue
lovely venue, nice atmosphere,was lovely to be so open and near to nature and the birds flying by while the service was going on.
The only slight criticism was the fact that visual life screen should you choose to have this
( which was a very nice addition to add to the service)
is over to the left rather than in the front of the seating,
which would probably not be possible at this venue due to the fact they have beautiful huge windows, therefore a screen would obscure the forest view.
All in all I would recommend this venue.

Lovely setting, a good experience
The crematorium is in a great setting, the main room has great and appropriate views of nature, and was a lovely venue. The staff were smooth and unseen behind the scenes.

Beautiful setting… but
Beautiful setting. However the music was far too loud during the service. Quite inappropriate for a funeral service.
Also really dislike that I have been sent a brochure trying to sell extras - not just once but twice! Both have gone into the recycling bin but only after causing me more tears. I’m grieving my mom so it’s already an awful time

The Oaks is a serene place. The ceremony went well. Everything was as we wished. The scattering of the ashes was respectful and performed as we wished. The staff member asked for our opinion at appropriate times.
