First timers
I went to a haunting venue with my mate Luke at prospect house, Mexbrough Doncaster, first time for us both so we didn't really know what to expect, we were split in to two groups, our host for our group was a guy named Chris, who was absolutely sound, he made you feel welcome and comfortable, and answered any questions you had, I was asked to join in 1 of the experiment's but didn't have to if I didn't want to, I felt that comfortable I did, it was mind blowing what happened but so weird at the same time, both Luke and myself give haunting happenings a thumbs up and a big 5 star for the full evening, and a big thanks to Chris, our host for a brill night, thanks and hopefully see them again soon. Ghost hunts are always fun. Staff were lovely and took it seriously whilst equally being relaxed about things. The equipment provided was great. This was treated like a scientific thing rather than people running about screaming. Was great for believers, and sceptics alike

Ghost Hunt at Fort Purbrook
We recently attended the ghost hunt at Fort Purbrook and, overall, it was a bit hit and miss for us. It wasn’t the most amazing experience from start to finish - we know this can happen as sometimes the spirits don’t play ball. Other participating members of our group also were not the best, as people were asking ridiculous questions that didn’t really make sense and that became quite annoying after a while. But what really stood out was Adam, who was a fantastic guide throughout the evening.
Adam worked hard to make sure we felt engaged, comfortable, and that we got something meaningful from the tour. We chose not to take part in the Ouija board, and he was very respectful of that. Instead of making us feel excluded, he took the time to help us have a different kind of experience when our group then split up to have their Ouija board.
That ended up being the most significant part of the night for us, as it allowed us to connect with a personal family member who had passed. We really appreciated the care, sensitivity, and effort Adam showed in making sure our time still felt worthwhile and personal.
So while the evening itself was mixed, Adam’s approach, respect, and genuine effort made a real difference and are what we’ll remember most. Thank you Adam!

Not worth the price
Not worth the price , experience wasn't greet at the fort widley due to staff member falling ill hope is all well now . But there was no haunting equipment that we was promised i really expect a refund due to this. We was expecting history storys or previous haunt stories .
So we went of trail hosts didn't agree with it but we wanted an experience to have free roam around was so much better finding bats walking the cold black tunnels found a sheep protecting a small green area by the moat we didn't want play with cat toys sorry.
I wouldn't look for future bookings .

Thank you for your review. We are sorry that this event was not the experience you were personally hoping for.
Unfortunately, one of our team members was taken seriously ill during the evening and remains in hospital today. This was a genuine medical emergency, and despite that situation, the event was successfully continued and completed for guests as best as possible under very difficult circumstances.
We would also like to clarify that equipment was available on the event for guests to use. In addition, this was clearly advertised as a public paranormal investigation event. These events are structured and hosted for the whole group and cannot be run as unrestricted free-roam, as that would create chaos, disrupt the experience for others, and raise obvious safety and management issues.
It also appears there may have been some confusion about the type of event booked. This was not sold or described as a history tour or ghost walk based around storytelling and venue tales. It was advertised in advance as a structured ghost hunt/paranormal investigation, which is a different format entirely.
We are sorry to hear that this style of event was not something you enjoyed, and equally sorry to hear that you do not intend to attend again. However, we do feel it is important to clarify the above points for balance and accuracy.

Would Use & Recommend
This was my first ever Ghost Hunt and I really enjoyed. The staff (Dan & Craig) were great, they were super helpful and friendly, they made sure that everyone was looked after and had the freedom to do their own hunt if they wanted or stayed with people who wanted to be in a group for whatever reason.
Unfortunately it was a quiet night and nothing happened or at least that couldn't be explained so I arrived as an open minded sceptic and left an open minded sceptic but despite the fact there was no ghosts I still had fun, met nice people. I would definitely have no problems booking with this company again. Can't say a bad thing about the company or the event!

Great events experience
Great events experience. Been to two now the last one being last night at Ryecroft Hall. Great venue, volunteer staff were great and equipment was also great. Our group investigator Laura was so good. She was knowlegable, enthusiastic and also a good laugh.

I was genuinely sorry to read that this was your impression of the event, as we always want our guests to leave having had a positive experience with us.
Some of the concerns raised relate to occasions where members of the team asked for disturbance during the live investigation to be kept to a minimum so as not to affect the experience of other guests. We are sorry if those interventions felt uncomfortable, but they were made in the interests of the wider group and the integrity of the investigation.
In relation to alcohol, at our Skirrid Inn event guests may request one alcoholic drink with their included meal before the investigation begins. Although not advertised as we do like to limit this, guests who request alcohol with their meal are not refused, instead informed that only one drink is permitted inline with health and safety. Any guest choosing to have a drink is indeed limited it to just one as was in this case. This is a long-standing and risk-assessed part of that particular event format. Alcohol is not permitted once the live investigation is underway, and any guest showing signs of intoxication would not be allowed to continue.
Concerns raised in relation to other attendees were also reviewed following the event. However, we are not able to discuss individual bookings or guest details in a public forum.
We would also like to clarify that this matter was not ignored. While there was an unfortunate delay in replying to one follow-up email, that response was sent as soon as we were able. Our customer care team had already been in direct contact with the guest before this review was posted, and continued that dialogue afterwards, including issuing a private response and proposed resolution which has been accepted.
The concerns raised were reviewed following the event, with accounts considered from the hosting team and other guests who were present. Whilst we cannot discuss complaint details fully in a public forum, we do take feedback seriously, review it carefully, and work directly with guests where concerns are raised.

Great night at Falstaff...
We recently attended a night at Falstaff in Stratford. We were welcomed by hosts Sian and Tracey, who made us feel at ease from the start. We hadn't done anything like this before but entered with an open mind. The night was relaxed and informal which helped with the flow of it. Although there was no major bumps or bangs, there was definitely moments that made you sit up and take note, even for the sceptics. Would definitely recommend trying it and would book onto another for certain. Looking forward to it.

30 East Drive - House of Horrors
I was welcomed by Paul and Lysa from Haunted Houses who could see I was aprehensive (I have done Haunted Houses events before but not this place), What a pair they are a proper credit to your company. The group I was with I didnt know any of them but found we bonded really easily probably down to the hosts being great. The night started with activity from minute 1, things happening on the landing which I cannot for the life in me explain. Later in the night Lysa tried an experiment with us each which took me out of my comfort zone but I felt because I did it I achieved what I thought would be a fear I had for life.
After all the fun I decided to stay over and sleep there. Im not going to spoil anything but I was thinking that the activity was done for the night... how wrong I was and im still playing it all back now.
I wont lie it was the best night of my life (bucket list) but also the worst (way more activity than I expectes)... im.deffo coming back to seek more answers.
I have gone on about the hosts and the people. But having done a lot with your company I can say you guys are the best and I have a few more events booked up.
Please pass on my best to Paul and Lysa would love to bump into them again on an investigation.. credit to Haunted Houses.

Creating that relaxed atmosphere where complete strangers can quickly feel like a team is exactly what a good investigation night should feel like, so it’s great to hear that came across.
30 East Drive has a reputation for a reason, and it certainly sounds like the house didn’t disappoint on your visit. The landing area in particular has produced some very interesting moments over the years, and experiences like the ones you described are exactly why so many people return to the house again and again looking for answers.
It’s also great to hear that you pushed yourself outside your comfort zone during one of the experiments. Those moments can sometimes be the most powerful part of the night, and it sounds like it made the experience even more meaningful for you.
Staying overnight at the house often adds a whole new layer to the experience as well, and it seems the house still had a few surprises left for you after the main investigation had finished.

Old Nick Theatre
Absolutely fantastic night with our brilliant hoast and my new bro Chris. It started off quiet, but once the activity started it was none stop to the point where I was a picture frame move, my mum was touched, my friend was slightly pushed and my husband had something blow in his face. Would recommend to others 100% as you never know what you're going to be in contact with. Chris, was spot on, not only did he ensure everything went smoothly and safely, but he made it fun and everyone had such a laugh.
