Worst Kitchen Company we have ever used!
We purchased a matt black Ultima kitchen from this company in 2022. Probably one of the worst mistakes we have ever made! It was priced at £17k for the units, appliances and worktops. The carcasses came damaged and scratched. The doors were painted and also came scratched. Carcasses and doors were replaced which took weeks each time, but replacements were mostly again damaged or scratched. Again the replacements were scratched or put together incorrectly. Nothing seemed square either so fitting was made difficult. The managing director was rude and stated that if her fitters had installed it, it would not have been a problem! So I guess her fitter would have covered up the damages and scratches. After a battle, we were refunded the purchase price but had to uninstall the kitchen which wasted many weeks of my time as it was a large kitchen. The Manufacturer's instructions were also incorrect as they said to use a certain type of hinge drilling jig which was actually for a different type of hinge. Nothing was checked by Hamilton Stone Designs to check for damage and the packaging was substandard apart from the doors which were beautifully wrapped but none the less scratched under the wrapping. They told us that they had never had this problem of damage before…..then we found out that they did on several counts. Also we were told that the doors were lacquered which was a lie. If I could give no stars I would, but having said that, most of the staff were lovely, it’s just the MD that was arrogant and rude. They say they are high quality kitchens but this one was far from the truth. In the end we went to Howdens who were cheaper and experienced no damage whatsoever and it was so easy to fit in comparison. Also it came the very next day instead of having to wait 6 weeks at HSD.
