Speedy, friendly, efficient install of an additional 10kw sigenergy battery

We recently had a solar PV and battery system installed by Halo Renewables, and we’ve been very impressed with the whole experience from start to finish.
The process was handled professionally and efficiently, with everything explained clearly along the way. The installation itself was completed to a very high standard, and the team were friendly, respectful and tidy throughout. They clearly knew what they were doing and took pride in their work.
We had a 16-panel Aiko solar system, SigenStor 10 kWh battery and Sigen EV charger installed. The system has been set up well and we're already looking forward to making much more use of our solar generation and battery storage.
What particularly impressed us was the communication. Any questions we had were answered promptly, and we always felt that the team were genuinely interested in getting the right system for our home rather than simply making a sale.
From the initial discussions through to installation and handover, Halo Renewables have been excellent. We’re very pleased with the finished installation and would have no hesitation recommending them to anyone considering solar panels and battery storage.

Fantastic Install - Solar Panels, Inverter, Batteries & Gateway. Halo Renewables has been brilliant start (design) to finish (installation). Matthew & his team - Lequahn, Tomasz, Bradley & the 2x Riley's arrived on time, explained everything that they were going to do, that it would have minimal impact on us whilst they installed 22 Solar Panels, Sigenenergy Inverter, 4x Batteries & a Gateway. Their workmanship was top notch, they cleaned up after themselves each day, constantly updated us on the progress of the job, what was happening or about to happen & why. We chose for aesthetic reasons to have the Solar Panels inset, so they had to remove hundreds of tiles from the roof, before any panels could be installed. We are extremely please with the job, recommending them to friends & family who have now also used Halo's services. The price we paid was extremely competitive. With the added bonus that they are nice people. Good job all round.

We decided to look for a solar battery setup in June given how high utility prices continue to trend, become self sustaining and make a tiny contribution to becoming greener.

Got quotes from local companies as well as those that operate all over the country. Products advised were wide in range, the number of panels needed varied and there was little consistency from one quote to another. The price range was huge - some of the quotes were 50% more expensive for similar branded products but even less in quantity.

We had short listed when a conversation with a local friend went in this direction and she recommended Halo who she had used for her own installation about a year ago and had neighbours about to have theirs installed. She invited me over to see the work carried out and the product.

Contacted Matt at Halo and within a short while he had sent me a quotation that beat all other with more equipment. He invited me over and I went to see him the following week to see a showroom where not only did he have the products to see but was also using in live mode.

Sitting with him listening to the options and pros and cons and his advice we made small changes to the setup and that was it.

Halo made the G99 application which turned out to be a headache in terms of time they took and what they came up with. No fault of Halo though.

Despite this setback we went along with the install which took place last week. 3 teams came - Matt was let down by his scaffolding subcontractor but he managed to replace them and by late morning the team to put up the scaffolding was up and running.

In the meantime Bradley set up all the electrics so that once the roofing engineers were able to instal they could simply connect the panels to the string.
The first day concluded with 16 of the main bank of 22 panels installed Thomas and Luie. Thomas arrived by 08:00 and within the hour had finished connecting the rest of the main panel body and connected it to the inverter to begin generating electricity.
By mid afternoon the 2 front set of panel banks were installed too.

All the engineers were polite, courteous and left the place clean of any packaging and dust they may have generated in the installation.

A few days post installation and whilst the export certification is due from the national grid we have been impressed with the solar generation. We have effectively not drawn any power from the grid and been able to use up any excess to top up the ev / hybrid vehicles before the next day of solar power generation begins.

Was surprised how much generation us done even on a cloudy day with no direct sunlight.

We selected 35 panels of Aiko 540W, 18KW of Sigen battery storage,12KW inverter, a gateway and 12KW EVDC charger. Will see how autumn and winter fare before contemplating adding another 9KW of battery storage in time for spring. We did choose to maximise the panels on the roof along with what would give maximum returns so that this would not need to be done again and incur fixed costs of scaffolding. The EV dc again was from the aspect of future proofing compared to taking a 7KW ac ev charger. The battery was measured against what is our daily consumption. The 12 KW inverter made sense as it gave connection to 4 strings of panels but also future proofed any export allowances. The gateway made absolute sense to us as we use multiple ups battery backups which I can now retire.

Riley (sparky) Luke (roofer) and another Riley(roofer) all arrived with a great work ethic, all really polite, extremely knowledgeable and helpful, super efficient, never left any mess behind, they clearly are superb at what they do, they made easy work by installing 20x panels, inverter, batteries and EV Charger.

I visited the shop in Yaxley for a chat and to look at what they offer face to face . I was sorted out with a very good system which was recommended to me . Ashton and his dad sorted me out a good price for what they recommend. The fitters were very good and quick at installation and were very tidy with all the work they did.

Took the time to get several quotes (Probably too many) should have just stopped at Halo. Halo weren't the cheapest, but Matt, local company, online reviews, MCS Certification and Sigenergy Certified Installer lead me to choose HALO Renewables. Couldn't be happier with the decision. Communication was great, Matt promptly providing his time to clear any doubts and answer questions. Matt sorted out the G99 application which went smoothly and even beat his own lead-time getting his team out in only a few weeks. Install was smooth. Both Tomasz and Brad were friendly and supported along the way. Hats off to Tomasz installing 30 panels (approx 35kg each) in a day and Brad who did an amazing job keeping all the cables tidy (there were loads as we had the full works). All in all, very happy and would recommend 100%!

In summary, an absolutely faultless and stress free experience.

The technician was polite and professional and did an excellent job.
Another positive was the price which was very competitive especially compared to my original solar installer who was asking for ridiculous amounts of money for this simple upgrade.

After a recommendation from a colleague I got in touch with Halo. I had been looking around for solar options but not getting very much information. Matt and his team were great from start to finish. The journey for solar started a while back, had about 23 to 25 different people come and give me there quotes and long winded sales pitches, which almost put me off the whole process, but with Halo Renewables the experience was a pleasure no hard ball sales pitch, but I must say between Matthew and Ashton, they went out of there way to match the price and got to the price point I got quoted by a national company. Then came the install 21 Panels over three roof spaces, 1 x 10kW Sigenstor Inverter and 2 x 10kW Sigenstor batteries, the install team and electrician were on site at 7h30 completed at 12h30, pleasant staff, informed what they were going to do, how the cables were going run, just got on with there job, no bother at all, left the site as clean as when they arrived, I would definitely have them back to do work here in the future. Great bunch of people.
