I was trying to get back in shape, or I should say re-learn how to play solos after more than 10 years of not touching a guitar...
I tried to do it by myself but after realizing I needed to find a better way than just playing what I used to play with a band, I tried one of his courses and loved it.
It is good for the motivation, full of useful information, and it really works. Claus is the best teacher that I know of. I now have a few courses and I love them all, even if I didn't complete them all, because I have not been regular enough with my practice.
But now that I have more time to practice, I just started a 5 weeks challenge and it feels great to practice again, stay motivated, and learn the right way.

Great course that can get tedious when Claus has moments of verbal diarrhoea. Some of the courses need serious updating. But. All in all it's worth a shot if you like Clauses methodology and style.

Purchased the Solo Supremacy program and have been completely impressed. So much stuff, it might take me 4-6 months (or more) to get through. But it's very well done and everything builds, as it should, from simple notes to blazing speed.

You should already know some basic soloing in the pentatonic and natural scales before you buy this one, but Claus has excellent lessons and free YouTube videos to get you ready. As good a video instructor as I've seen. He knows there are beginners and experts on the course and starts it easy and allows each piece of the lesson to stack on itself.

It's gonna kick your butt. Just know that and don't be overwhelmed. Stop the video and rewind. Each part adds on to what Claus has taught. Every minute or so, there is a small or medium addition to the pattern.

Stop!

Take that one new tool, maybe it's the E Major or Arpeggiating the C or F or G. Stop! Go to the Jam Track and just add the Emaj into the Jam Track. Play it a couple of times till it sounds good. Slow the speed down to 75% or even 50% until you find the notes with your ear (and fingers). Then try to add the F, only the F. Go to the Jam Track and add the F. Eventually, you can bring those sounds in. (I'm not all the way there yet but my solos are much more complex and musically satisfying already.)

Same thing with the Moldable Lick. The basic lick in Lesson 1 is an easy Am pattern, Stop periodically and go to the Jam Track. Get the basic pattern under your fingers. There's a point at about the 9:00 mark of the Moldable Lick where Claus says you should be able to play it at a certain speed. Stop! Get to that speed! Obviously the instructor can play way faster, but you need to take the time to get to this speed. It's a great lick and I use it with a lot of my other Am backing tracks.

Oh, and your Am Pentatonic stuff gets lots of attention as you practice and that's where you'll see as much or more improvement. Each lesson uses a different key. Am first then Dm and Bm and so on. I'm sticking on Lesson 1 (Am) for now. I need work on all 22 frets of Am. Not just the fingering pattern, it's the ear training that goes with the fingering. Obviously, it's easy in the Pentatonic to slide that pattern up or down. But this is not just some Pentatonic Blues Lesson. Lesson 1 explores every note in the Key of C (Am) and forces you to truly learn the fret-board and understand how chords are built and taken apart.

Way cheaper than even a few private lessons. Yes you can get free stuff on the internet (which I did for years and still do). But most of those are teaser lessons or teach one specific skill or lick. Lots of fun and that's how you get excited about soloing for sure. But, this is truly next level.

If you love the sound of yourself on a backing track playing complex solos, this is the course for you. If you wanna jump in and jam with friends and be able to fill in (whatever key) with musical solos, this is the course for you.

These courses are targeted to rewire the brain to assimilate music making principles at subconscious level thus stimulating musical creativity and making music making and playing more fun and spontaneous.

I have bought several courses and every now and then I dig into those and walk away with some beautiful gem which I can incorporate and expand on in my playing.

I have enrolled in numerous Guitarmastery programs and have found them all to be very educational and of high-quality. Claus is a very skilled player and passionate instructor and his programs have helped me improve my playing more than any other programs or lessons that I have had. The Fretboard Freedom program was one of my favorites as it has enabled me to maneuver the fretboard unlike ever before. I would encourage any serious-minded guitar player to enroll in a couple of his programs and give them a chance.

Claus is obviously a skilled and talented player, but he is also an intuitive teacher. In some of the most valuable videos he has offered, he has talked far more than he has played. For me, his insights into ‘how’ we learn and master new skills (and not necessarily just guitar skills!), as well as how we tap into positive energy, have made him my favourite teacher.

These guys are awesome!!! The fretoard is really not that complicated when you go back to basics and math which is what they do!!! It makes practicing and theory fun!!! Not only that, my old computer fried on me and I had to get a new one but could not find my log ins or anything. No questions asked they had me back up and running within 24 hours!!! Thank you!!!

Claus is an excellent teacher. His way of breaking things down to useable methods is superb. He is also a great guitar player. When you combine a great guitar player with great teaching skills, you've got someone special that you can learn a lot from, even an old dog like me.

I bought my first course from Claus when he was still The Wizard of Shred. I've learnt more from Claus than anyone else online and think he's a genuine master and all round good guy.

His courses are superior quality and the support is awesome.

I was the typical guy trying to learn from live teachers which is a good way but not for all of us, and sometimes is even stressful or if you have the wrong teacher you may loose lots of time and money.
From the first time I saw Claus on youtube I understood that this guy is very clever, very happy and positive (really important) and I became a fan of his videos even if I continued having teacher lessons. Last summer I started the ingenium course for alternate picking because I work on a boat and I didn't have access to my teacher or even internet. Gues what? I saw results!!! I dont tell you that if you purchase one course today, tomorrow you will be guitar master; it needs time and effort but this guy will get you to the right path guys. Can you feel how important is this? Getting the best possible from your time spent?? Simplicity guys! Claus makes everything look simple as it is, because we people overthink, overestimate and complex every fact in our life. Many times I saw the same video twice just to convince my self that "yes it was that easy". He is not a wizard to make you masters in a day but for sure he will get you there faster and easier!
With Claus I know I'm in the right path, I have progress I see results and it is just a matter of time to get where I want. Since then I've purchased one more course and I have several in my mind.
So dont think it twice and get in! Follow his instructions, which are simple and easy and the only thing you have to give is your time spent on the instrument. And dont forget to enjoy every moment as you get better because, I say again, you dont waste your time here, you are on the right path.

Another outstanding course from Claus! Very practical tips and exceptionally clear instruction. The best approach I have seen to rapid progress.

Claus is one of those rare people that is a great player AND a great teacher. His approach is unique and positively infectious. Some teachers have a more left-brain / structural approach and some have a more right-brain / creative approach. Claus magically has an all-brain approach with a perfect blend of structure and creativity! His teachings also are layered with motivation and how to be smarter in your practicing. He’s like a cheerleader encouraging you step by step. He seems to identify all the usual ruts I’ve faced but cleverly gives you escape routes to get back on track. My personal results of improvement have been at a fast pace. Just listen and watch and if you put into application what he teaches you, the results will be forthcoming quickly. Wish I had started with him years ago!!!

Absolutely awesome course. I am one of those players who have been trying to do too many bits and pieces, and never progressed. All I knew was a bunch of chords and the 5 positions of the main pentatonic scale. I could play some songs...but they always had a few sloppy fingerings etc. I could do a solo...but they always sounded like crappy scales....and the same. I purchased the solo course, and within a few days....I have improved so much....I cant wait to practice now. You'll find Claus poundes the heck out of focusing on just one thing at a time, and practice that insanely, till you got it......then add another bit and practice practice. All through his video's, he keeps reminding you how easy it is to hit a wall....and lose interest. His enthusiasm is high powered in the lessons you get. He spends a lot of time thru out the course making sure you understand, that to become really good, you must put the effort in. He is truely obsessed with your sucess. If you are serious about learning or improving your guitar playing....look no where else. I have tried other courses. All those other teachers were more interested in loading you up with lots and lots of great material...and you were on your own....but Claus puts just as much time and energy into your practice habits, as he does on the tools and materials you get with his courses. Dont get me wrong. Your not gonna buy his courses and magically become much better. This takes time.....and a big commitment, which he guides you along...thru the whole course. Well worth it! Oh look.....Its time to practice!!

I am a little late to the party at age 70, having started my quest less than a year ago. At that time, someone asked me what my passion in life was, and I kinda drew a blank - until I realized how much I have always loved the sounds of a guitar, growing up in the 'golden age' of rock n' roll. I did attempt to learn the instrument way back when, but like many before me, I failed miserably due to the frustration of having no direction.

Fast forward to the present: Once discovering the mind-boggling amount of instructional material available online, I started purchasing courses from many different sources, until I finally found my 'home' at guitarmastery.net. Claus presents a particularly cerebral approach to the seemingly endless pitfalls encountered by a new student in a very motivational yet entertaining fashion. His and Alex's physical skills are immediately apparent which I have found very inspirational. And most importantly, their system of teaching drives home the idea of focusing on the individual skills required and understanding the core concepts of the guitar. I have also found their customer support, chaired by Alex, is both personable and very timely. They have covered all the bases.

This is getting redundant of the previously submitted opinions. If I can convince one person to take the plunge with these guys, then perhaps I have repaid a small fraction of all that I have already gained.

I have played guitar since I was a teenanger (I’m 48 now) and have had different teachers and been to seminars etc. etc.
For the FIRST TIME in my life, I get it!! Claus is not only a great guitarist - he is a formidable teacher. Many are, but Claus talks about the most important thing in the world, when it comes to learning something new: YOU
And that’s where many of us have failed; strategy - are you working on the right thing, right now? And so on. It is worth every penny!

This is by far one of the best guitar learning websites on the internet. The instructors Claus and Alex genuinely care about the progress of their students. It shows clearly in their work. Great lessons and great insights! Not to mention their videos and all very inspirational and motivational. They get you fired up and ready to go!

I’m currently taking Claus’s Mechanics of Music course and it’s fantastic. I’ve learned more about music theory than I did with 10 years of piano lessons and 6 years playing trumpet in band and jazz band way back when. Claus also has amazing content for free on YouTube. I believe his explanation and demonstrations of the modes are the best on the internet.

Thank you Claus. You’ve opened my eyes to a whole new universe of playing guitar, which I’ve been doing for over 30 years.
