We hired Grace removals for an international move. This was our third international move, the first one with them, and by far the very, very worst.
The initial consult was by video link which I think didn't give the consultant the best understanding of the size or complexity involved in this move. The loaders arrived unprepared. The boxes provided were used, weak, and had other customers names, destinations and numbers on them. We noted that this could be a problem to the crew - they were unconcerned, which we found very worrisome. We had prepacked many boxes and created manifests for each and every box with a master list as we had been required to do by the two previous companies we had worked with - and with whom we had flawless moves. We discussed the creation of the manifests with the consultant during the initial call and understood they were necessary for all international moves, as usual. The manifests we created were ignored by this crew, and no effort made to cross reference it with the numbering on the manifest the company created at loading.
The crew was tired upon arrival. They arrived 3 hours late. Because they were tired, they were understandably slow and not careful. This resulted in one of a pair of antique doors having the glass smashed out of it before it could even be packed, and several antique pieces not being packed into the truck. The items were put into a corner in the garage and left there until the truck left.
The crew arrived with only plastic wrap for our items - which we knew would not adequately protect our furniture. The use of this material ultimately resulted in breakage of numerous pieces of furniture and antiques that the company packed. Boxes were so roughly handled that two sets of dishes were smashed, and valuable china items I had collected, smashed. Nearly every box had something broken within it, including those marked fragile and containing items packed by us in styrofoam boxes and multiple layers of bubble wrap. We packed our valuable antiques in wooden boxes we built ourselves on loading day when we realised that the crew was poorly trained and not prepared to handle these items competently. We had to run to the local Bunnings to buy bubble wrap, blankets, and other materials as we knew the plastic wrap would not protect our items through the three packings and unpackings of the container that the company told us they would do. Grace did however, reimburse us for some of the packing materials we purchased.
The only items that were received completely undamaged were the valuable antiques we packed ourselves, in wooden boxes we built ourselves on loading day. I was horrified during the packing process when they were going to ship our massive dining room table as is, without removing the legs to allow flat, safe, space-efficient transport without breakage of the legs. I had to lift the table myself, and show them how to remove the legs. It was as if they had never moved furniture before.
The list of errors and damage just goes on and on. One box of delicate equipment was in a prebuilt box with lockable wheels on the bottom for easy movement. The top was labelled top and the sides indicated with arrows where the top was. It arrived on it's side with the equipment inside hopelessly damaged.
When the shipment arrived and we received our list of items shipped, the movers hired on the other end to place our shipment in storage were calling out wrong numbers as the boxes were unloaded because of the mislabelling with other customers names and numbers on the used boxes. This created massive confusion as we had anticipated, and we therefore couldn't actually tell in the end which boxes had been received or if any were missing. We were pushed into just signing the manifest so that they could get on with another job, and it wasn't until we were unpacking at our new home that it became obvious that there were boxes missing, and there were items that seem to have not been listed on the manifest at all although they had been packed and loaded. Loading had been so disorganised that we had no idea what they had labelled and what they had not. There were a number of missing items - extension ladder, industrial grade lift, boxes of kitchen items - and this all also resulted in us receiving a very nice step ladder that although useful, is not ours and is certainly not a substitute for the sturdy extension ladder we actually shipped.
We have spent quite a while gluing and screwing our damaged items like desks, tables and some precious (to us) items back together, and many have just been discarded. The overall lack of care or perhaps lack of training was beyond disappointing, especially at the rates you pay for international moves. Really, if I could, I'd give this company 0 stars. Just abominable from beginning to end.
The removalist teams at both ends were efficient, friendly and helpful.
This was our second big move with Grace and couldn't fault them.

Do not use GRACE! I had several issues which I raised with management since 29/4/25 and nobody bothered to look into it.
I contacted customer service via email, but it seems inexistent.
On 16/6 they sent me an invoice with extra charges I never asked or signed for and no notation of my prepayments.
On 18/6 I receive a call from the UK partner saying they suspended my shipment. Still no reply from GRACE!

I recently used your service for a move and wanted to provide some feedback based on my experience.
First of all, I’d like to commend your team for their excellent service attitude and smooth communication throughout the process. The packaging was also satisfactory, and I found your pricing to be reasonable.
However, I did notice some issues with the handling of items. There were clear signs of dragging and pushing, which raised some concerns. One particular issue was with a piano we transported. Upon delivery, the piano’s base was found to have suffered visible damage, including dents, collision marks, and even cracking.
While I appreciate the overall professionalism of your team, this experience has made me cautious about entrusting more delicate or valuable items to your care in the future. That said, I may still consider using your services for less fragile or less important belongings.
