Gopagoda Travel

Caroline was honestly one of the sweetest parts of our Shanghai experience! ❤️ She is such a warm, kind and genuinely caring person, and an excellent guide with amazing English, which made everything so easy and enjoyable.

What I loved most was that it didn’t feel like we were just touring the city with a guide. We actually got to know her as a person, and she made us feel so comfortable throughout. She was incredibly helpful with shopping, took the time to understand what we were looking for, helped us navigate stores and find things, and made the entire experience so much smoother and more fun!

She goes above and beyond to make sure you have a good time, and you can genuinely feel that she cares about the people she guides. If you’re visiting Shanghai and want someone who is knowledgeable, thoughtful, friendly and makes you feel like you’re exploring the city with a local friend, Caroline is your person!

Would absolutely recommend her to anyone visiting Shanghai. Thank you, Caroline, for making our experience so special! 🥹❤️

An Amazing Shanghai Experience with Caroline and GoPagoda Travels!

We were a group of seven friends visiting Shanghai for three nights, and what an incredible experience we had! A huge part of what made our stay so memorable was our wonderful guide, Caroline, from GoPagoda Travels.

Our itinerary was quite unusual. We dedicated one day entirely to exploring Shanghai’s futuristic side, experiencing robo-taxis, drone food deliveries, humanoid robots, and visiting Xiaomi and Huawei stores. The following day was more traditional sightseeing, shopping, visiting the spectacular Shanghai Tower and enjoying an evening river cruise.

With seven friends having seven different interests, keeping everyone happy was no small task! Some of us were fascinated by technology, others loved shopping, while a few of us were constantly looking for the perfect photo opportunity. Caroline handled all of this brilliantly, with endless patience, enthusiasm and a lovely personal touch.

One of the biggest surprises was discovering that Caroline was also a professional photographer! Once we saw the quality of her pictures, we practically handed over our photography duties to her! She had a wonderful eye for composition, lighting and framing, and the photographs she took of our group were simply outstanding. We’ve been sharing them with friends and family back home, and everyone has been amazed at how good they look. That was such an unexpected bonus!

What impressed us even more was Caroline’s incredible local knowledge and flexibility. We were constantly coming up with last-minute ideas — “Can we visit this place?” or “What about stopping there?” — and somehow Caroline always found a way to make things happen. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble for her.

She also made sure we ate really well! One particularly memorable experience was a Northern Chinese restaurant she recommended, where the food was absolutely delicious. She helped organise dinner takeaways and even arranged deliveries to our hotel for members of our group who wanted to buy things online. Without access to many of the local Chinese apps, we would have struggled with these little practicalities, but Caroline quietly sorted everything out for us. It’s these thoughtful gestures that really make a difference when travelling in a foreign country.

The excellent service extended to the entire GoPagoda Travels team. Sandy, who coordinated our arrangements, was professional, responsive and a pleasure to deal with throughout. Our driver, Huang, was always punctual, and our Mercedes-Benz vehicle was simply fantastic — spacious, incredibly comfortable and complete with ambient lighting that made us feel like royalty as we travelled around Shanghai!

Having dealt with several travel agencies during our China trip, I must also mention that GoPagoda Travels offered us the most competitive price, without compromising one bit on quality. In fact, the overall experience exceeded our expectations.

But what we will remember most is Caroline herself. She was far more than someone simply taking us from one attraction to another. She genuinely cared about our experience, understood the different personalities in our group and went out of her way to make every day enjoyable. Her warmth, humour, knowledge and willingness to accommodate our sometimes unpredictable requests made Shanghai feel that much more special.

A massive thank you to Caroline, Sandy, Huang and the entire GoPagoda Travels team! We came away with fantastic memories, hundreds of beautiful photographs and a real appreciation for Shanghai.

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended, and we would happily travel with them again!

We couldn't have asked for better service from Gopagoda. For a tailor-made trip to China, they are simply the best. A special thank you to our guide, Caroline and our driver, Huang, they both went above and beyond to make sure every one of us had a trip that suited our interests. We will certainly be in touch for our next visit!

Caroline was a wonderful tour guide who speaks English well and provided an excellent service to full fill our travel and holiday requirements in Shanghai. She has been very helpful and assisted us in many ways to explore the experience. We are very happy and highly recommend to engage Caroline as your tour guide. Thank you Caroline.

We have just completed our Beijing trip arranged by Gopagoda Travel and everything went incredibly smooth.
Our driver did a great job. He was punctual, professional, and the vehicle was comfortable throughout the trip - with fresh fruits! Our tour guide was also very nice, knowledgeable, friendly, and shared great insights in our Forbidden City tour.
Finally, the organization behind the scenes was amazing. The team managed our itinerary seemlessly, gave us reminders, checklist and updates on weather just to ensure we get to enjoy our trip without a hassle. We even got a welcome gift!
Thank you to the whole team for a great, stress-free holiday. We would gladly book with Gopagoda Travel again!

Our trip to China, organized by Pagoda, was perfect in every respect. We were in contact with them throughout the entire journey, and they accommodated all of our needs! Absolutely recommended for exploring China while having fun and seeing incredible places!

Booked a transfer tour to Gulong Gorge from Guangzhou. Really recommend GoPagoda - the experience was seamless and the team were very flexible and easy to contact. Made the journey out to the gorge very easy and created a day of unforgettable memories. Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed my trip and tour men and drivers were fantastic. They were explaining the history of their culture well, friendly.
They were following up with me step by step for booking and each station I need to stop.
Hotel booking was wonderful clean.

Although I am in the process of planning, but my agent have been absolutely fantastic in every way. She even checked on me regularly while I am in the hospital after my surgery. This personal touch of care goes a long way. She has been extremely informative and available for any questions or concerns. I am absolutely impressed and blown away of the level of professional service I am receiving

Niki has been by far the best tour guide we have encountered on our trip to China especially in Shanghai❤️ he was so flexible and he managed to even take us to the best shopping malls where we could get a variety of clothes. He basically took us to the best places in Shanghai the driver was equally great and friendly 🥰we enjoyed the Tesla Car ride…I would definitely recommend NIKI❤️also he took nice pictures of us 😂and it was great sharing a meal with him as well… Thank you Niki and your whole team for ensuring we have a good time in Shanghai ❤️❤️❤️

Everything was very smooth. They help you with everything regarding esim, setting up the necessary payment systems and maps required. The car was premium and the driver was always on time. They are also very flexible. Anything you want to do or see, they can arrange it for you. They also help you with anything. Even on my free days, they were ready to help.

Was a nice experience. We travelled with our 20 month old baby for 7 days in Shanghai and Suzhou. The itinerary was very flexible as per the baby’s health demands and we could customise and choose many things on spot. Special highlight was the arrangement of baby car seat everyday that we went out. That really helped! Special thanks to Sandy and especially Ryan for understanding and arranging such a comforting tour. We look forward to take your services again in future. Best wishes!!

We recently came back from an absolutely amazing trip to China with a group of 15 people, visiting Shanghai, Beijing, and Hong Kong. We cannot praise Gopagoda Travel enough! We booked our own hotels and flight tickets, but left everything else in China up to Gopagoda. From the very start to the absolute end, everything went completely flawlessly. They took care of absolutely everything for our large group: professional tour guides, all entry tickets and the best local tips. Nothing was too much trouble for them. All pick-ups and transfers were perfectly organized. Shoutout to our guides and all the drivers! We traveled in large, comfortable buses and minivans, all equipped with great air conditioning and plenty of water for our trips. A special, heartfelt thank you goes to Demi. Without her incredible help, guidance, and endless patience, we could never have experienced this journey in such a wonderful way. The communication was superb and highly professional throughout the entire process. Demi always responded super fast to all our WhatsApp messages and emails. If you are planning a trip to China, we highly recommend booking through Gopagoda. We are already telling all our family and friends about them, and we will definitely choose them again for our next adventure! Thank you so much, Demi and the Gopagoda team!

I have been comparing with other tour, and this is the most reasonable pricing. They reply very fast and super helpful. They even still reply my late at night helping with my question that is very urgent. I really look forward to use their private tour service again for next trip. Trustworthy! My experience has been a very pleasant one visiting gulong george and fairyland cave qingyuan during my visit in guang zhou. They pick up on time as well! Super well organized! Thank you!

Booked a day trip to Guilin from Guangzhou and the guys helped booked everything from the hotel to the train ride to the private charter. Communication was great and they were very receptive and always available for doubts and questions. Itinerary was flexible as well. The only small hiccup was them booking my train ticket with the wrong passport number, other than that, it was a great experience in Guilin thanks to them!

I highly recommend Gopagoda Travel, and especially Yadina, who went far above and beyond to make our trip to China an amazing experience.

Originally, Yadina was only organising our airport transfers and transport to and from our hotel, but she did so much more than that. She provided us with invaluable advice on which apps to download, what to expect, the weather, what to wear, and many other helpful tips that made travelling around China so much easier.

Throughout our entire trip, she was always available to answer our questions and was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Her support gave us confidence and made our holiday stress-free.

Without Yadina, our experience in China would not have been nearly as enjoyable. Her dedication and willingness to help exceeded all of our expectations.

Thank you, Yadina, for your outstanding service. You are a real asset to Gopagoda Travel, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend both you and the company to anyone planning a trip to China.

Impeccable organization. A truly tailor-made journey. Excellent guide drivers and accommodation. When we return to China we will definitely lean on them again.

Amazing experience, we were in guangzhou for a few days and needed a English driver to take us around, we were picked up in a very nice private van which had seats which we could recline, complimentary cold water and really nice ac, our driver yen was so kind and helped us with everything we needed, great experience would definitely recommend!
